A mounting structure for a curtain airbag device includes: a first pillar extending along a vehicle upper-lower direction; a second pillar disposed on a vehicle rear side at a predetermined interval with respect to the first pillar, and extending along the vehicle upper-lower direction; a transparent member interposed between the first pillar and the second pillar; a front pillar garnish covering the first pillar and the second pillar and having a lower end portion protruding along at least one of a vehicle front-rear direction and a vehicle width direction; and a curtain airbag device configured to include a curtain airbag, configured to be inflation-deployed in a curtain shape in a vehicle cabin side portion, and having a front end portion fixed at a position in the first pillar or the second pillar corresponding to the lower end portion of the front pillar garnish.

A cloaking device includes an object-side, an image-side, a cloaked region (CR) between the object-side and the image-side, and a reference optical axis extending from the object-side to the image-side. An object-side CR reflection boundary and an object-side optical component sub-assembly are positioned on the object-side and an image-side CR reflection boundary and an image-side optical component sub-assembly are positioned on the image-side. The object-side optical component sub-assembly includes an object-side outward-positioned half-mirror, an object-side inward-positioned half-mirror, and at least one of an object-side outward-positioned reflection boundary and an object-side half-wave plate. The image-side optical component sub-assembly includes an image-side outward-positioned half-mirror, an image-side inward-positioned half-mirror, and at least one of an image-side outward-positioned reflection boundary and an image-side half-wave plate. Light from an object located on the object-side of the cloaking device and obscured by the cloaked region is redirected around the cloaked region via three optical paths.

A vehicle footrest impact deflection member includes a first portion and a second portion. The first portion is configured to be disposed outboard of a vehicle trim panel. The first portion includes a non-collapsible part having a first overall density. The second portion extends inboard from the first portion. The second portion includes a collapsible part having a second overall density that is less dense than the first overall density of the non-collapsible part.

An embodiment A-pillar garnish structure includes an A-pillar portion defining an A-pillar inner space using a front inner upper panel and a side outer panel, a garnish fixed to the side outer panel using a mounting clip passing through the side outer panel, wherein the garnish is configured to provide a design of an exterior appearance of the A-pillar portion, and a vehicle-frame reinforced panel defining a mounting clip separation space together with the side outer panel of the A-pillar portion in such a manner as to have a closed cross-section structure, wherein the mounting clip does not contact the vehicle-frame reinforced panel.

VEHICLE PILLAR STRUCTURE
There is provided a vehicle pillar structure including: a pillar-shaped component that forms a pillar; a pillar garnish that is disposed on a vehicle cabin side of the pillar-shaped component; and a supporting component that is provided between the pillar-shaped component and the pillar garnish and is capable of undergoing elastic deformation, and that supports one or a plurality of mounted components that have been mounted along the pillar-shaped component.
TRIM FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE
A trim made of plastics for a vehicle, in particular a motor vehicle, comprises a first component (7) made of plastics and a second component (8) made of plastics. To improve such trim, the first component (7) is at least partly transparent or semi-transparent. The second component (8) includes one or more recesses (10, 11, 12) for a display element and/or for an input element.
CLOAKING DEVICES CONSTRUCTED FROM POLYHEDRONS AND VEHICLES COMPRISING THE SAME
A cloaking device includes an object-side, an image-side and a cloaked region between the object-side and the image-side. An object-side polyhedron with an entrance side and an exit side parallel to the entrance side is positioned on the object-side and an image-side polyhedron with an entrance side and an exit side parallel to the entrance side is positioned on the image-side. The entrance side of the object-side polyhedron is oriented relative to a reference optical axis extending between the object-side and the image-side at an acute angle and the exit side of the image-side polyhedron is oriented relative to the reference optical axis at an oblique angle equal to 180. Light from an object positioned on the object-side of the cloaking device is redirected around the cloaked region, without total internal reflection of the light within the object-side polyhedron or the image-side polyhedron.
