A-PILLAR AIRBAG SYSTEM
Systems and methods herein are directed to an interior trim system of a front pillar of a vehicle. The interior trim system can include a panel. The panel can include a user-facing surface and an interior surface located opposite the user-facing surface. The interior surface can define a volume of space to house a curtain air bag in an attached position. The panel can include a boss extending from the interior surface of the panel. The panel can include an aperture extending from the user-facing surface through the boss. The interior trim system can include a shoulder bolt. The shoulder bolt can have a head portion, a flange, a smooth portion, and a threaded portion. The panel can move relative to the shoulder bolt by a threshold distance in a deployed position such that the curtain air bag can deploy through an opening created by movement of the panel.
ATTACHMENT STRUCTURE FOR A VEHICLE ROOF LINING
An autonomous vehicle includes a vehicle body, a side curtain airbag mounted by the vehicle body, and a roof lining mounted to the vehicle body via an attachment structure. The attachment structure includes a bracket fastened to the vehicle body and the roof lining includes a mating hole aligned with the bracket. A cap at least partially received within the mating hole from an exterior surface of the roof lining is directly fastened to the bracket. A cover for covering the mating hole from the exterior surface of the roof lining is connected to the cap.
Multiple-Part Surface Covering for the Cladding of Support Structures and Cladding Part
A multiple-part surface covering for the cladding of support structures includes at least two surface covering parts, respective portion of a first and second surface covering parts, and a cover. The at least two surface covering parts are sewn to one another by way of a connecting seam. The respective portion of a first surface covering part and a respective portion of a second surface covering part form a seam overhang. The cover is sewn to the two surface covering parts by way of the connecting seam and covers the seam overhang. An edge strip core is arranged between the cover and the seam overhang.
TRIM MODULE FOR A PILLAR OF A MOTOR VEHICLE
A trim module is disclosed for a pillar of a motor vehicle, in particular for an A-pillar of a motor car. The trim module includes a trim body, a basic body configured to connect to the pillar, a latch and a jointed connection. The trim body includes a pivot portion pivotable about the jointed connection and facing the interior of the motor vehicle. The basic body includes a connecting portion, a bearing portion and a support portion. The support portion is formed in the direction of the pivot portion. The pivot portion, the bearing portion and the support portion form a first receiving region for an inflatable airbag. The pivot portion and the bearing portion are detachably connected to one another by the latch and the jointed connection is formed on the side of the support portion facing away from the first receiving region.
Canopy windshield retention
The present disclosure relates to a vehicle that includes a windshield and a frame. In addition, the vehicle includes a first pillar that extends from one side of the windshield. The first pillar includes a first wall and a second wall coupled to the first wall. The first pillar also includes a first portion and a second portion. The first portion includes a first interior support coupled to the first wall and a second interior support coupled to the second wall. Further, the first interior support includes a first end which is spaced from a second end in the second portion.
Curtain Air-Bag Device
A curtain airbag device capable of preventing a cushion from damaging a front pillar trim or being caught by the front pillar trim upon deployed. A cushion 102 of a curtain airbag device 100 is inflated and deployed at a side wall of a vehicle interior to restrain an occupant. The curtain airbag device 100 includes: a cushion 102 having a bag shape and inflated and deployed on the vehicle front side of a passenger seat; and a first strap 148. The first strap 148 has one end 156 attached to a front pillar 104 and the other end 162 attached on the vehicle inner side of the cushion 102 in an elongate stored form. The first strap 148 moves to the vehicle inner side and is strained by inflation and deployment of the cushion 102 pushing out a front pillar trim 184 that covers the front pillar 104 to the vehicle inner side.
Vehicle body structure
A vehicle body structure includes a first surface, a closure panel, an interactive display panel and a controller. The first surface has a first edge extending along an exterior portion of a vehicle and a second edge opposite the first edge extending along an interior portion of the vehicle. The first surface at least partially defines a door opening. The closure panel is movably coupled for movement between an open position exposing the first surface and a closed position covering the first surface such that a closure panel surface overlays the first surface. The interactive display panel is disposed along the first surface and is covered by the closure panel with the closure panel in the closed position and is exposed with the closure panel in the open position. The controller is in communication with the interactive display to display user inputted data on the interactive display panel.
FASTENING STRUCTURE FOR VEHICLE
A fastening structure for a vehicle includes an upper trim of which an outer clip inserted into a panel is formed thereon, and a lower trim of which an inner clip inserted into the outer clip is formed thereon.
ACTIVE VEHICLE INTERIOR TRIM PANEL WITH ACCORDION FOLD
An active trim panel is for covering at least a portion of a pillar in a vehicle interior. The panel may include a body for covering the portion of the pillar. The body includes at least one accordion fold for expanding from a first position with the body closer to the pillar to a second position with the body spaced from the pillar as a result of the expansion of the accordion fold.
