A method to automatically activate at least one cold weather feature of a vehicle includes determining if the vehicle is in a state for activating at least one cold weather feature, and then determining at least one cold weather condition exists for activating at least one cold weather feature. When it is determined that at least one cold weather condition exists the at least one cold weather feature is automatically activated.

The correction signal may be configured to apply a corrective measure based on the predicted state of the vehicle. The state of the vehicle may be predicted when the vehicle is parked in the outdoor environment. The state of the vehicle may comprise factors that prevent driving the vehicle.

A control system and method for controlling a vehicle subsystem are provided. The control system includes a remote parameter sensor configured to generate a remote parameter signal indicative of a value of a universal parameter associated with an environment in which a vehicle is operating. The system further includes a local parameter sensor configured to generate a local parameter signal indicative of the value of the universal parameter and a local controller. The controller is configured to receive the local parameter signal along a first signal path, receive the remote parameter signal and a command signal configured for controlling a function of the vehicle subsystem along a second signal path, compare the local and remote parameter signals and implement the function of the vehicle subsystem responsive to the command signal if the remote parameter signal meets a predetermined condition relative to the local parameter signal.

A heater is integrated into the blower to heat the cab of the vehicle thereby inhibiting the formation of frost on the vehicle's windows. A heater battery is coupled to the vehicle and the heater battery is independent from an ignition battery of the vehicle. Each of the blower and the heater is in electrical communication with the heater battery. A solar panel is coupled to an exterior of the vehicle for charging the heater battery when the vehicle is not running.

The output parameter includes one of an acceptable condition setting for the vehicle accessory and a predicted runtime for the vehicle accessory. Further, the method includes providing the output parameter to a display for displaying the output parameter.

The system further includes an electronic control unit (ECU) coupled to the allergen sensor, the network access device, and the output device and designed to control the output device to output the allergen map received from the remote server.

In response to detecting the airborne object, the system performs tracking the airborne object to obtain 3-D coordinate information of the airborne object at distinct times, determining a probability that the airborne object will collide with the one or more sensors based on the 3-D coordinate information, determining whether to take an action of the vehicle based on the determined probability, the action being one of actuating a shield to block the airborne object or activating an air curtain; and performing the action in response to determining to take the action.
