Moving object
A moving object includes a box-shaped accommodation unit provided on an outer surface of an automobile body, and moves on a road surface. The accommodation unit detachably accommodates a detection device that detects suspended matters or radiation in the air nearby the automobile body.
Method for Controlling Two or More Comfort Functions of a Vehicle and Vehicle Device
A method for controlling two or more comfort functions of a vehicle uses a controller, wherein a first comfort function is provided by a pneumatic massage system of a vehicle seat including one or more air cushions and an air supply system for individual air impingement of the one or more air cushions, and wherein a second comfort function is provided by an electromechanical vibration system of the vehicle seat independent from the pneumatic massage system and including one or more individually controllable electromechanical vibration devices. The method includes: analyzing a provided audio or video file taking the provided comfort functions into account; orchestrating the audio or video file by generating individual control signals for each comfort function the audio or video file after the analyzing; and synchronized transmitting the individual control signals to the corresponding comfort functions, whereby each comfort function is controlled by an individually assigned one of the individual control signals.
Using camera data to manage a vehicle parked outside in cold climates
An apparatus includes an interface and a processor. The interface may be configured to receive video frames comprising at least one of a vehicle or an outdoor environment near the vehicle and a correction signal. The processor may be configured to perform video operations on the video frames to detect objects, predict a state of the vehicle based on the objects detected in the video frames and generate the correction signal. The correction signal may be configured to apply a corrective measure based on the predicted state of the vehicle. The state of the vehicle may be predicted when the vehicle is parked in the outdoor environment. The state of the vehicle may comprise factors that prevent driving the vehicle.
Control Device for a Vehicle Having an Automatically Opening And/Or Automatically Closing Panel
A control device relates to a vehicle having an automatically opening and/or automatically closing lid with at least one control switch in the vicinity of the lid and with a programmable electronic control unit. The control switch may be operated arbitrarily contactlessly in the form of a proximity sensor and when operated generates an operation request signal which is an input signal to the control unit. The control unit is configured in such a manner that defined environmental conditions may be evaluated for the detection of a risk of salinity and humidity and that, given the presence of a risk of salt and water, an appropriate adaptation may be made to the evaluation of the operation request signal. Preferably, at least one outside temperature below a predefined threshold and information indicating the presence of moisture are defined as the environmental conditions to be evaluated for detecting the risk of salt and water.
Moisture removing apparatus using electric discharge
Disclosed is a case for electric devices having a moisture removing apparatus inside. The apparatus includes a first electrode exposed in an inside of a casing having an electronic circuit board therein, connected to one electrode of a power source, and coated with a dielectric material on a surface thereof. The apparatus includes a second electrode exposed in the inside of the casing having the electronic circuit board therein, connected to a remaining electrode of the power source, and spaced apart from the first electrode so as to define a space therebetween. The apparatus includes an electric discharge air path provided between the surface of the first electrode coated with the dielectric material and the second electrode, and in which moisture of air is decomposed by electric discharge occurring between the first and second electrodes while air inside the casing circulates in the electric discharge air path.
CAMERA BASED ACTIVATION OF HEATED WIPERS AND WINDSHIELD DEFROST
A method to automatically activate at least one cold weather feature of a vehicle includes determining if the vehicle is in a state for activating at least one cold weather feature, and then determining at least one cold weather condition exists for activating at least one cold weather feature. When it is determined that at least one cold weather condition exists the at least one cold weather feature is automatically activated.
AMBIENT TEMPERATURE SENSOR RATIONALITY CHECK
Methods and systems are provided for diagnosing temperature sensors of a vehicle. In one example, a method may include, at a duration after an engine-off event, determining that an intake air temperature measured by an intake air temperature sensor of the vehicle is less than an ambient air temperature measured by an ambient air temperature sensor of the vehicle. In response to the determining, the method may include flowing air from a catalyst across the intake air temperature sensor; and indicating the intake air temperature sensor is functional responsive to the intake air temperature converging to the ambient air temperature during the flowing.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR VEHICLE MANAGEMENT
The present disclosure relates to an electronic device communicatively connected to a vehicle. The electronic device includes a network interface configured to receive information associated with the vehicle, and at least one processor. The processor is configured to detect a vehicle status based on the information and the vehicle status is indicative of a predetermined condition. The processor is further configured to receive an authorization for controlling the vehicle and take control, upon detecting the vehicle status and receiving the authorization, from a default controller of the vehicle.
OPERATION OF VEHICLE ACCESSORIES BASED ON PREDICTED RUNTIME OF A PRIMARY SYSTEM
Methods and systems for efficient power management of a finite power storage unit that provides a finite amount of power to a vehicle accessory are provided. The method includes receiving an input parameter. The input parameter includes one of a desired runtime for the vehicle accessory and a desired condition setting for the vehicle accessory. The method also includes receiving an environment data. Also, the method includes a processor determining an output parameter based on the input parameter and the environment data. The output parameter includes one of an acceptable condition setting for the vehicle accessory and a predicted runtime for the vehicle accessory. Further, the method includes providing the output parameter to a display for displaying the output parameter.
