ELECTRICAL POWER SUPPLY MANAGEMENT FOR CLIMATE-CONTROLLED SYSTEM ASSOCIATED WITH AUTOMOTIVE APPLICATION
Technologies described herein pertain to delivering power to primary and accessory electrical components associated with a vehicle that is at least partially electrically powered, as well as to a power source of the vehicle itself. To operate one or more of accessory electrical components and deliver power to a vehicle battery, via a power distribution unit, the embodiments facilitate understanding of dynamic power available to the accessory electrical components as well as the vehicle battery, and distributing of the power in a prioritized manner to optimize the system for a most efficient power delivery process, with regards to power needs and power availability. Managing power supplied to a climate control unit that is used in a transport climate control system providing climate control to at least one of an internal space of a vehicle, may be performed by a controller that is electrically connected to at least the climate control unit.
ARCHITECTURES FOR BATTERIES HAVING TWO DIFFERENT CHEMISTRIES
A 12 volt automotive battery system includes a first battery coupled to an electrical system, in which the first battery include a first battery chemistry, and a second battery coupled in parallel with the first battery and selectively coupled to the electrical system via a first switch, in which the second battery includes a second battery chemistry that has a higher coulombic efficiency than the first battery chemistry. The first switch couples the second battery to the electrical system during regenerative braking to enable the second battery to capture a majority of the power generated during regenerative braking. The 12 volt automotive battery system further includes a variable voltage alternator that outputs a first voltage during regenerative braking to charge the second battery and a second voltage otherwise, in which the first voltage is higher than the second voltage.

VEHICLE ANOMALY DETECTION DEVICE
A vehicle anomaly detection device is used in a vehicle power system. The vehicle anomaly detection device includes a target wiring portion and an anomaly detection unit. The target wiring portion constitutes at least a portion of the inter-storage power path and is a target for anomaly detection. The anomaly detection unit performs a predetermined anomaly check operation on the target wiring portion and detects an anomaly in the target wiring portion based on the result of the anomaly check operation.

REDUCING SWITCHING-ON AND SWITCHING-OFF PROCESSES IN AN ELECTRIC DRIVETRAIN
A method (100) for operating a vehicle (1) with an electric drive-train (2), wherein this electric drivetrain (2) is fed via a DC voltage source (3) and a converter (4) for converting the DC voltage into a single-phase or multiphase AC voltage, comprising the steps: —it is detected (110) that the vehicle (1) is stopped; — it is checked (120) on the basis of at least one specified criterion (10) whether the vehicle (1) is expected to be stopped only briefly; —in response to the fact that the vehicle (1) is expected to be stopped only briefly, the vehicle (1) is transferred (130) from the ready-to-drive state into a disabled state, wherein in this disabled state the vehicle (1) is protected against unauthorized use but the converter (4) continues to be supplied with the DC voltage from the DC voltage source (3); —in response to the fact that the vehicle (1) is not expected to be stopped only briefly, at least one functional test of the electric drivetrain (2), said test being provided for powering down the electric drivetrain (2), is performed (140), and after the termination of this functional test the vehicle (1) is transferred (150) into a switched-off state, in which the vehicle (1) is secured against unauthorized use and the supply of the converter (4) from the DC voltage source (3) is interrupted.
