Modalities for authorizing access when operating an automated assistant enabled vehicle
11318955 · 2022-05-03 · ·

Implementations relate to enabling of authorization of certain automated assistant functions via one or more modalities available within a vehicle. Implementations can eliminate wasting of computational and communication resources by at least allowing other users to authorize execution of certain input commands from a user, without requesting the user to re-submit the commands. The vehicle can include a computing device that provides access to restricted data, which can be accessed in order for an action to be performed by the automated assistant. However, when a restricted user requests that the automated assistant perform an action involving accessing the restricted data, the automated assistant can be authorized or unauthorized to proceed with fulfilling the request via a modality controlled by an unrestricted user. The unrestricted user can also cause contextual restrictions to be established for limiting functionality of the automated assistant during a trip, for certain types of requests, and/or for certain passengers.

PROVIDING CONTEXTUAL AUTOMATED ASSISTANT ACTION SUGGESTION(S) VIA A VEHICLE COMPUTING DEVICE

Implementations set forth herein relate to an automated assistant that can provide suggestions for a user to interact with the automated assistant to control applications while in a vehicle. The suggestions can be provided to encourage hands-free interactions with the applications, by suggesting an assistant input that invokes the automated assistant to operate as an interface between the user and the applications. Assistant suggestions can be based on a context of a user and/or a context of the vehicle, such as content of a display interface of a device that the user is accessing while in the vehicle. For instance, the automated assistant can determine that an action that the user has employed an application to perform can be initialized more safely and/or in less time by utilizing a particular assistant input. This particular assistant input can then be rendered at an interface of a vehicle computing device.

Creation device, component control device, creation method, component control method, computer program and learning model

A creation device is provided that has at least one processor operatively coupled to non-transitory computer readable storage to execute operations that includes an acquisition part and a creation part. The acquisition part acquires input information concerning traveling of a human-powered vehicle. The creation part uses a learning algorithm to create a learning model that outputs output information concerning control of the components of the human-powered vehicle based on the input information.

Systems And Methods For Piezoelectric Sensor Microphone Window Keypad Entry

Disclosed are systems and methods that uses a window as a keypad entry system that functions as a replacement for a keyless entry keypad in a vehicle. The system includes a vehicle window functional as a keypad using piezoelectric transducers that capture resonance from the vehicle window when pressure waves (e.g., generated by voice commands or taps) impact the glass. A transducer controller amplifies the vibrations from the vehicle window user tap or spoken commands and triangulates the signal to localize a position of the origination point of the tap, which may be mapped to a respective numeric or cardinal input value. The system may include a low power mode that receives input while the vehicle is off.

Vehicle and Method of Controlling the Same

An embodiment vehicle includes a communication device, an output device, an input device including a microphone, and a control device connected to each. The control device is configured to transmit speech data received through the microphone to a server through the communication device, to receive analysis information of the speech data from the server through the communication device in response to the transmission of the speech data, to identify whether the speech data corresponds to a first speech command registered in the server based on the analysis information, to control the output device to output information about target devices of a control setting of the vehicle based on the speech data not corresponding to the first speech command, and to set the speech data as a second speech command for controlling at least one of the target devices based on a reception of a user input through the input device.

Accelerometer-based external sound monitoring for voice controlled autonomous parking

Method and apparatus are disclosed for accelerometer-based external sound monitoring for voice controlled autonomous parking. An example vehicle includes a body control module, an infotainment head unit, and an autonomy unit. The example body control module communicatively couples to a mobile device. The example infotainment head unit communicatively couples to an accelerometer mounted on a window of the vehicle. The example autonomy unit autonomously parks the vehicle in response to a first key word detected by the accelerometer when (i) a button is activated on the infotainment head unit and (ii) a message from the mobile device is being periodically received.

A vehicle control and interconnection system comprises a vehicle interconnection component and a supervisory controller. The vehicle interconnection component communicably couples to a portable electronic processing device and to native electronic peripherals of a corresponding vehicle, including a display. The supervisory controller provides control information to at least one native electronic peripheral to implement a customized vehicle configuration such that a corresponding peripheral or group of peripherals respond to control commands from the vehicle interconnection component in a coordinated manner. Also, the portable electronic processing device is programmed via a software download to implement a user interface that interacts with the display of the corresponding vehicle to provide information to the vehicle operator where at least part of the processing is carried out on the portable electronic processing device. Yet further, software modifications are wirelessly received via a transceiver and are processed through the vehicle interconnection component.
