Bumper cover retainers including integral attachments that retain a bumper cover to the bumper cover retainer
A vehicle may include a bumper assembly that includes a bumper cover, and a bumper cover retainer. The bumper cover retainer may further include an integrally formed fastening feature that is integral with the bumper cover retainer and that folds over the bumper cover to connect the bumper cover to the bumper cover retainer.
Tow hook cover assembly for an automotive bumper fascia
A bumper fascia having a tow hook opening and a tow hook cover is provided. The bumper fascia includes a perimeter surface surrounding the tow hook opening. A first shaped panel, a second shaped panel, a step surface, and a lip portion extend from the perimeter surface defining the tow hook opening. The shaped panels cooperate with a portion of the perimeter surface to define recessed chambers and two attachment notches. The shaped panels include elongated ribs sitting below the exterior surface of the bumper fascia. The tow hook cover includes a pair of wing segment having chamfered surfaces engageable with the step surface and a pair of L-shaped clips engageable with the attachment notches. The tow hook cover is pivotable about the elongated ribs to engage and disengage the tow hook cover from the bumper fascia.
BUMPER ASSEMBLY AND A BUMPER SYSTEM AT A FRONT OF A TRUCK
The present disclosure provides a bumper assembly to be connected to a chassis bumper beam at a front of a vehicle. The bumper assembly comprises a plastic fascia; a metal reinforcement member; and a plastic reinforcement member disposed between the plastic fascia and the metal reinforcement member and connected with the plastic fascia and the metal reinforcement member. The plastic fascia, the plastic reinforcement member and the metal reinforcement member extend at a lateral direction of the vehicle.
Support assembly of a bumper on a front module of a motor vehicle
A support assembly of a bumper on a front end region of a motor vehicle which has a front end beam with respective headlights supported thereon and which each have a headlight housing, and which has a bumper cladding of the bumper which is supported by at least one bumper beam, is disclosed. The bumper beam is supported via at least one respective support element on the respectively allocated headlight housing of the respectively allocated headlight. Also disclosed is a headlight having a headlight housing which includes at least one receiver on which an allocated support element of a bumper is able to be supported. A method for the production of such a support assembly is also disclosed.
Lower grille assembly preventing light leakage
A lower grille assembly preventing light leakage and fixedly connected to a bumper skin of a vehicle and comprising a lower grille body with a buckle mounting orifice and a lower grille trim with a buckle, wherein the lower grille trim is fixedly connected to the lower grille body by means of the buckle and the buckle mounting orifice; a buckle flange extending outward on the buckle of the lower grille trim, the buckle including a U-shaped groove for receiving an end of the skin and in a clearance fit with the end, so as to clamp and support the skin, effectively ensuring a Z-direction clearance between the trim and the skin, preventing the skin from falling due to its dead weight, and avoiding light leakage due to an increased Z-direction clearance between the skin and the lower grille assembly resulting from deformation of the lower grille assembly.
Vehicle rear of a motor vehicle
A rear (1) of a motor vehicle has a bumper (2) configured as a beam and arranged in a transverse direction (Y) of the motor vehicle. A trim panel (3) covers the bumper (2), and an end plate (4) is provided for at least one end pipe (5) of an exhaust gas system of the motor vehicle. An opening (7) penetrates the trim panel (3) below the bumper (2), and the end plate (4) penetrates the opening (7). Supports (8) are connected to the bumper (2) behind the trim panel (3) and extend down from the bumper (2). The trim panel (3) is mounted in the supports (8) below the bumper (2), and the end plate (4) is mounted in the trim panel (3).
Clip-on spacer, front end module and method
A clip-on spacer includes a retainer having a receiver and a resilient clip and a spacer element having a tang and a bolt guide. A front end module includes a bolster carrier, a grille carried on the bolster carrier and a clip-on spacer fixed to the bolster carrier.
FRONT BUMPER ARRANGEMENT SUPPORT STRUCTURE FOR A VEHICLE
A front bumper arrangement support structure for a motor vehicle includes a crossmember having a front end region that extends substantially transversely to the vehicle longitudinal direction, a fastening plate located to the rear of the crossmember and at least one deformation element that extends between the front end region of the crossmember and the fastening plate. Here, an integrated bumper element is provided. The bumper element extends in an arcuate manner between the front end region of the crossmember and the fastening plate and protrudes to the front or forward relative to the crossmember. The integrated bumper element, the deformation element and the fastening plate form an approximately triangular structure.
Vehicle and vehicle bumper
A vehicle includes a body, a bumper and a plurality of self-tapping fasteners. The body defines mounting orifices. The bumper has an exterior shell that includes an interior wall. The interior wall has receiving portions that protrude inward relative to the shell such that the receiving portions are thicker than adjacent portions of the interior wall. Each of the plurality of self-tapping fasteners extend through one of the orifices and into one of the receiving portions to secure the bumper to the body.
LOOSE LAYERED BUILD COMPONENTS AND VEHICLE FRONT END ASSEMBLY STRATEGY
A headlight assembly for assembly adjacent at least one skin component of a vehicle includes a housing supporting at least one light and a lens attached to the housing. The lens includes at least one attribute for engaging the at least one skin component. The attribute may be a pin or an aperture formed in the lens which may extend a distance from a surface of the lens for guiding the skin component. The skin component may be a grille and the attribute may restrict movement of the headlight assembly relative the grille in a Y-axis direction forming a margin therebetween. The attribute may be a channel including a bracket for guiding the skin component, for instance, a facia into the channel. The attribute may be a cavity formed in the lens for receiving an overlapping portion of the skin component, for example, a grille.
