Bumper

Provided is a bumper capable of improving a maneuvering stability of a vehicle. The bumper is a front bumper 7 to be attached to a front lower portion of a vehicle 1. Flow-straightening protrusions 31 each formed along a vehicular front-rear direction are provided on a lower portion of the front bumper 7 in a way such that they are aligned along a vehicular width direction across a region on an extended line 36 of a vehicular width direction inner end portion 2T of each of front wheels 2L, 2R of the vehicle 1. Thus, the occurrence of turbulent flows around the front wheels 2L, 2R can be restricted so that a vehicle stability can be improved.

LOWER VEHICLE-BODY STRUCTURE OF VEHICLE

A shield may be provided between a rear bumper and a silencer, the shield may be provided so as to extend in the vehicle width direction to overlap with at least a rear vertical wall of the silencer in the up-down direction in vehicle rear view, and the shield may be provided with a guider that guides underfloor traveling air downward, the underfloor traveling air flowing to the rear side through a lower portion of the silencer.

VEHICLE BODY STRUCTURE FITTED WITH ENVIRONMENT SENSOR

A vehicle body structure includes an environment sensor (22) positioned in an inner space defined between a bumper face and an internal structural member, and attached to the internal structural member, and a cover member (23) including a lower wall (24) extending from the internal structural member to a point adjacent to the bumper face to substantially close the inner space from below. The cover member including a main part (28) forming a base end part thereof and a tip end part (29) extending from the main part to the point adjacent to the bumper face and having a substantially lower stiffness than the main part.

Vehicle front structure

A vehicle front structure that reduces a shock load applied to immediately under a front grille by using a bumper beam as a support. A vehicle front structure includes a shock absorbing member at an interior of a bumper face on the side near an upper portion thereof which absorbs a load from the diagonally upper front side. The shock absorbing member is at the interior of the bumper face below a front grille, and includes a load receiving portion that receives a load, a locking portion locked to an upper end edge of a bumper beam located behind and below the load receiving portion, at the time of receding of the shock absorbing member, and a connecting portion connecting the load receiving portion and the locking portion. A deformation facilitating portion with respect to a load from the upper front side is thus configured at the connecting portion.

AN INTEGRATED FRONT VISION PANEL

A molded panel that encompasses all forward surfaces of a vehicle. The molded panel extends from the forward edge from a driver side front wheel opening, laterally across the front of the vehicle and terminating at a forward edge of a passenger side wheel opening. The molded panel extends in the vertical direction (i.e., perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle) from a forward lower edge of a front valance up to a leading edge of one of a hood, a flunk, and a windshield of the vehicle. The molded anel further includes connection flanges formed on a back side surface for connection to a vehicle frame that does not have a front end module and front frame bulk head.

FRONT STRUCTURE OF VEHICLE

A bumper-face support member extending in a vehicle width direction in front of a vehicle-body member provided at a vehicle-body front portion and having an attachment portion where a bumper face is attached, plural brackets fixedly connecting the vehicle-body member and the bumper-face support member, a bumper beam extending in the vehicle width direction below the bumper-face support member, and a stay connecting the bumper-face support member and the bumper beam in a vertical direction are provide. The stay has a deformation promotion portion configured to be bent so as to promote deformation of the stay when a collision load is downwardly inputted to the bumper-face support member.

FRONT STRUCTURE OF VEHICLE

There are provided a vehicle-body member provided at a vehicle-body front portion, a bumper-face support member supporting a bumper face in front of the vehicle-body member, and plural brackets fixedly connecting the vehicle-body member and the bumper-face support member. The bracket comprises an inclination portion which is inclined such that a front side thereof is positioned on an inward or outward side, in the vehicle width direction, of the bracket, a high-rigidity portion, at least part of which is positioned at the inclination portion and which is configured to have high rigidity against an input of a load applied in a vehicle longitudinal direction, and a fragile portion which is configured to be deformable by receiving the input of the load applied in the vehicle longitudinal direction. The high-rigidity portion and the fragile portion are provided adjacently to each other in the vehicle longitudinal direction.

Member for ratcheting between a moving component and adjacent structure

A vehicle comprises: a vehicle body having a front and a rear; a vehicle chassis supporting the vehicle body, the vehicle chassis including a chassis portion; a component attached to the front of the vehicle body; and a member comprising (i) an elongate portion having teeth, and (ii) an attachment portion attaching the member to one of the chassis portion or the component, wherein the member is configured for ratcheting of the teeth against an edge of the other of the chassis portion or the component due to relative movement between the component and the chassis portion.

FRONT VEHICLE-BODY STRUCTURE

An impact absorbing member is provided below a fascia upper member (upper-face forming member) which forms an upper face of a front end portion of a vehicle. The impact absorbing member comprises a front side part which includes a front wall portion, a top wall portion, and a rear wall portion so as to have a U-shaped cross section opening downward and a flat-plate shaped rear side part which extends rearward from a lower end of the rear wall portion. A rear end portion of the rear side part is held at a radiator shroud as a vehicle-body-side member, and the rear side part is configured to slant obliquely forward and downward.

Attachment for Fixing to a Vehicle Body

An attachment for connection to a body of a motor vehicle. The attachment having a cover member composed of plastic, a reinforcement member composed of plastic, and a stiffening member composed of metal inserted therebetween. The reinforcement member is fastened to the cover member such that at least one of the reinforcement member and the cover member at least partially engage around the stiffening member at least sectionally. As a result, the stiffening member is surrounded at least sectionally on at least three sides by the cover member and the reinforcement member. In this way, the stiffening member is thereby fixed in a locationally and positionally accurate manner.
