An automotive radar installation structure that allows a radar main body to be assembled to a vehicle in a simple arrangement and with stable performance, and a fascia retainer to attach a bumper fascia as an exterior part of a bumper to the vehicle. The structure includes a flat solid shape radar main body 122 and a transmission and/or reception surface to transmit/receive radio waves, and a fascia retainer 120 to attach a bumper fascia 108 of a rear bumper 104 of the vehicle to the vehicle main body. The fascia retainer 120 has a fixation portion 150, and a radar installation portion 128 in the vicinity of the fixation portion 150 having a recessed shape to receive the radar main body 122 so that the transmission and/or reception surface 130 faces outward of the vehicle.

VEHICLE BUMPER ASSEMBLY

A vehicle bumper assembly is provided having an energy absorber, a bracket, a step pad and a bumper fascia. The energy absorber includes an upper horizontal surface wherein the upper horizontal surface may define a deformable structure. The deformable structure may be in the form of flexible fins. The bracket may be mounted to the vehicle frame on a first end of the bracket and the energy absorber affixed to a second end of the bracket. The step pad may be affixed to the energy absorber. The bumper fascia may be affixed to either or both the step pad and the energy absorber.

FRONT CARRIAGE FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE COMPRISING A BUMPER COVERING
20170247002 · 2017-08-31 · ·

A front carriage for a motor vehicle includes a bumper covering and a support structure, which supports the bumper covering. At least one support device supports the bumper covering against the support structure in the direction of the vehicle height (z) and enables a deformation movement of the bumper covering relative to the support structure in longitudinal vehicle direction (x) in the event of a crash.

BAFFLE ASSEMBLY AND A VEHICLE

A baffle assembly includes a body, and a vehicle includes a bumper beam and the baffle assembly. The body includes an edge facing outwardly away from the body. A region of the edge includes a plurality of supports spaced from each other. The baffle assembly further includes a seal member secured to the edge of the body. The seal member includes a plurality of protrusions spaced from each other and interleaved with the plurality of supports such that the protrusions and the supports cooperate with each other in an alternating pattern which creates an area configured to absorb energy when a force is applied in the region.

LOWER GRILLE ASSEMBLY PREVENTING LIGHT LEAKAGE

A lower grille assembly preventing light leakage and fixedly connected to a bumper skin of a vehicle and comprising a lower grille body with a buckle mounting orifice and a lower grille trim with a buckle, wherein the lower grille trim is fixedly connected to the lower grille body by means of the buckle and the buckle mounting orifice; a buckle flange extending outward on the buckle of the lower grille trim, the buckle including a U-shaped groove for receiving an end of the skin and in a clearance fit with the end, so as to clamp and support the skin, effectively ensuring a Z-direction clearance between the trim and the skin, preventing the skin from falling due to its dead weight, and avoiding light leakage due to an increased Z-direction clearance between the skin and the lower grille assembly resulting from deformation of the lower grille assembly.

BUMPER ATTACHMENT RETAINER
