Deformation element arrangement and motor vehicle having a deformation element arrangement
A deformation element arrangement is provided for a motor vehicle, having a deformation element and a vibration-generating device. The vibration-generating device is arranged and designed in such a way that the deformation element, when required, can be set in vibration so that a deformation behavior and/or a flow behavior of the deformation element is/can be varied in accordance with a request condition.

METHOD AND DEVICE FOR THE REAR END COLLISION PROTECTION OF A VEHICLE
Provided are a method and device for the rear end collision protection of a vehicle. The method comprises: in a driving process of a current vehicle, detecting a rear vehicle distance by a radar; judging whether the rear vehicle distance is less than a distance threshold, and if yes, calculating a collision time according to the approaching speed of the rear vehicle and the rear vehicle distance; and judging whether the collision time is less than a time threshold, and if yes, initiating an airbag disposed at a rear bumper of the current vehicle, wherein after expanded, the airbag forms a long-strip-shaped inflatable bladder at the outside of the rear bumper of the current vehicle.
BUMPER DESIGN USING SHEAR THICKENING FLUIDS
A variable shear control energy absorption system for a vehicle is provided. The system may include a vehicle frame component and a primary deformable impact absorber located adjacent the vehicle frame component. The vehicle frame component may be a bumper reinforcement member. The system may include a plurality of secondary deformable impact chambers located within the primary deformable impact absorber, each secondary deformable impact chamber including a shear thickening fluid that exhibits an increasing or decreasing viscosity responsive to an impact force. At least one elastic relief chamber is provided in fluid communication with the plurality of secondary deformable impact chambers. The elastic relief chamber is configured to temporarily accept the shear thickening fluid from the plurality of secondary deformable impact chambers during low force impacts, and to redirect the shear thickening fluid back to the secondary deformable impact chambers after the low impact force recedes.

Safe protection equipment for all vehicles and drivers from both front and rear
Safe protection equipment for all vehicles will significantly reduce the collision force by spring or liquid cylinder when the vehicle bumps to obstacle or two vehicles collide with each other. This equipment can be used on both front and rear of the vehicle. Combination of springs or liquid cylinder with different elasticity can reduce the collision smoothly.
This equipment will protect both vehicles and drivers without changing the current air-bag protection system. It will significantly reduce the damage for serious collision accidents.
This equipment is attached to the vehicle chassis on bottom, which will bear the collision force reduced by the spring or liquid cylinder. It might require some design change in vehicle chassis.
One option is to add a pad to pass the reduced collision force to the elastic tire when colliding vehicles are running in straight line.

PROTECTION CONTROL APPARATUS
A second-time collision position estimator section estimates a second-time collision position that is a position at which an occupant on a two-wheel mobile object has a second-time collision, based on a relative vector estimated by a relative vector estimator section and a first-time collision position identified by a first-time collision position identifier section. An operation instructor section operates an external protection device, which is determined to be able to protect the occupant on the two-wheel mobile object based on the second-time collision position estimated by the second-time collision position estimator section.
