Vehicle body front structure
A vehicle body front structure of a vehicle is provided. The vehicle is equipped with a bumper beam disposed on a front side of a vehicle body and extending in a vehicle width direction. The bumper beam is fixed at its lateral end portions in the vehicle width direction to the vehicle body. A guide member is disposed on each lateral end portion of the bumper beam to cover a laterally outer end surface of the bumper beam in the vehicle width direction. The guide member has a deformation allowance caused to extend in a collision in accordance with a displacement of the bumper beam.
HYBRID BUMPER ASSEMBLY FOR A VEHICLE
A hybrid bumper assembly for a vehicle includes a steel reinforcement beam and aluminum crush cans attached to end portions of the steel reinforcement beam. The reinforcement beam has a multi-tubular shape that is formed by a high-strength steel sheet that is roll formed to provide at least two tubular portions. A crush can has an interfacing portion that is coupled to an end portion of the reinforcement beam. The end portions of the reinforcement beam and the interfacing portion of the crush cans may be configured to attach together using a select joining technology in a manner that minimizes or eliminates bimetallic or galvanic corrosion between the reinforcement beam and the crush cans.
Vehicle front end assembly
A vehicle frame structure has a front side member that extends forward from a dashwall. An engine cradle is attached to the front side member with a lateral side portion of the engine cradle being located beneath and spaced apart from a lower surface of the front side member. An engine installed to the engine cradle with a portion of the engine extending upward from the engine cradle adjacent to an inboard surface of the front side member, A push-off structure is attached to an outboard surface of the front side member adjacent to a front end surface of the front side member. A portion of the push-off structure extends outboard from the outboard surface. Another portion of the push-off structure extends downward below the lower surface of the front side member toward the lateral portion of the engine cradle and the engine.
Arrangement for Holding a Sidewall Element on a Bodyshell Part of a Vehicle, Bracket and Vehicle
An arrangement for holding a sidewall element on a bodyshell part of a bodyshell for a vehicle, in which arrangement the sidewall element is held on the bodyshell part by way of a bracket which is formed separately from the bodyshell part and separately from the sidewall element. The bracket is connected to the bodyshell part and to the sidewall element, wherein the bracket has a first retaining element connected to the bodyshell part and a second retaining element, which is connected to the sidewall element and is formed separately from the first retaining element and is connected to the first retaining element.
Attachment for Fixing to a Vehicle Body
An attachment for connection to a body of a motor vehicle. The attachment having a cover member composed of plastic, a reinforcement member composed of plastic, and a stiffening member composed of metal inserted therebetween. The reinforcement member is fastened to the cover member such that at least one of the reinforcement member and the cover member at least partially engage around the stiffening member at least sectionally. As a result, the stiffening member is surrounded at least sectionally on at least three sides by the cover member and the reinforcement member. In this way, the stiffening member is thereby fixed in a locationally and positionally accurate manner.
Articulated Sliding Links for Deflecting a Vehicle in a Small Offset Collision
A collision countermeasure apparatus for a vehicle includes a longitudinally extending frame rail that defines a transverse opening adjacent a front end. An extension is partially received in a bumper that defines an open end. A pin is received in the transverse opening and has an outer end pivotally connected by a joint to an outboard end of the extension. Collisions outboard of the frame rail drive the extension into the pin and the pin into the rail to laterally displace the vehicle. Collisions inboard of the rail slide the extension outwardly from the bumper and pivot the extension and pin toward each other. Collisions inboard of the rail shift the pin laterally outwardly from the transverse opening.
BUMPER-REINFORCING SYSTEM FOR MOTOR VEHICLE
A bumper-reinforcing system (1) intended for a motor vehicle includes: a bumper beam (2) with a single-piece elongated profile with a closed cross section and including a center zone (21) extending at least over part of the entire width of the bumper beam and an end zone (22) at each extremity of the bumper beam, two bumper fasteners (3) connected to the rear side of the bumper beam (2) at the intersection between the center zone (21) and the end zone (22) of the bumper beam (2), two reinforcing tubes (4) connected by their first end to the rear side of the end zone (22) of the bumper beam (2), extending from the bumper beam (2) so as to form an angle α below 45° with the vertical plane of symmetry of the bumper beam and suited to be connected by their other end on the front rail of the vehicle for which the bumper-reinforcing system (1) is provided, and two covers (5) with a single-piece elongated profile with an open cross section, in contact with the rear side of the end zone (22) of the bumper beam (2) and extending at least from the first end of one of the reinforcing tubes (4) to one of the bumper fasteners (3).
VEHICLE BUMPER ASSEMBLY
A bumper assembly includes a bumper beam, an inner extension, an outer extension, and a reinforcing element. The bumper beam extends longitudinally from a first end to a second end. The inner extension is welded to the first end of the bumper beam, and the outer extension is welded to the inner extension. The inner extension and the outer extension are elongated from the bumper beam and define an elongated cavity therebetween. The reinforcing element is fastened to the inner extension and disposed in and elongated along the cavity.
VEHICLE BUMPER ASSEMBLY
A bumper assembly includes a bumper beam, an extension, a crush can, and a bracket. The bumper beam extends longitudinally from a first end to a second end. The extension attaches to the first end of the bumper beam and has a segment parallel to the bumper beam and a leg extending transversely relative to the bumper beam. The crush can is attached to the segment. The bracket extends from the extension and is welded to the crush can.
Mobile platform and driving method of mobile platform
A mobile platform including a vehicle body, an elastic anti-collision strip and two trigger mechanisms is provided. The vehicle body has two side surfaces and a front side surface connected between the two side surfaces. A safety network is provided in the vehicle body. The elastic anti-collision strip includes an impact receiving section and two fixing sections respectively connected to the impact receiving section. The impact receiving section is arc-shaped and located on the front side surface. The two fixing sections are respectively fixed to the two side surfaces. The two trigger mechanisms are respectively fixed to the two side surfaces and connected to the two fixing sections.
