Protection cushion concealment system for vehicle roll bar assembly
A concealment system for a first vehicle component having a cutout and receiving aperture exposed by removal of a second component, includes a pre-insert configured to be inserted into the receiving aperture, and a filler insert having an outer surface and configured to be inserted into the cutout such that the outer surface of the filler insert is substantially flush with a visible outer surface of the vehicle component. The filler insert being inserted into and retained within the pre-insert.
Multi configurable half top assembly
A top for a Jeep type vehicle is provided having a rear cargo area and parallel spaced roll bars. The top includes parallel spaced apart C pillars, each C pillar including front and rear vertical columns, the rear columns having a perpendicularly connected seat belt pass-through. The C pillars also have bottom plates connecting the front and rear columns that extend beyond the rear column. A top plate connects the front and rear columns together. The C pillars include pivotally connected sealing plates for sealing a top end of a rear door, the sealing plates being connected to the roll bars. A vertical rear window extending between said C pillar rear columns is provided, the rear window having a cutout portion for allowance of passage of a seat belt therethrough. A fabric cover providing a top deck extends over said front and rear seating portion of said vehicle and also covers the C pillars. A tonneau cover is provided for covering the rear cargo area providing a flat surface enclosure over the cargo area.
ACTIVE BOLSTER
An active bolster for a vehicle is provided, wherein the bolster comprises an expansible hollow interior that is inflatable and is self-supporting in both an inflated and in an uninflated position. The bolster has an inflator module for inflating the expansible hollow interior. The bolster has an inner wall for projecting inwardly into the vehicle and away from the side of the vehicle on inflation of the expansible hollow interior. The bolster may have a relatively non-expansible component located between a first expansible chamber and a second expansible chamber. The bolster may comprise an outer wall having an attachment portion for attaching the outer wall to a portion of the side of the vehicle.
Hybrid component for a vehicle
A hybrid component for a vehicle includes at least one metal base portion configured to be attached to a basic structure of the vehicle, at least one stabilizing portion made of plastic for mechanically stabilizing the hybrid component, and at least one main portion made of continuous fiber reinforced thermoplastic for absorbing forces that act on the hybrid component. The hybrid component is formed, at least in part, as a hollow profile.
