The cable further having an end wrap forming a loop around a rivet affixed to a frame of the buckle assembly with the cable loop wrapping around the rivet. The device having a feature positioned adjacent to the cable loop and blocking movement of the loop into the buckle. Embodiments include; providing features of a buckle housing in the form of a tab which blocks motion of the cable loop, retainer ring element attached to the buckle frame having features which embrace the cable loop, and clips which can be attached to the buckle assembly, embracing the cable attachment.

A seat belt tensioning device with a gas generator for generating a compressed gas, a piston driven by the compressed gas, a tension cable which is connected to the piston and is connectable to a seat belt component to be set into a tensioning movement, a tensioner tube for receiving and guiding the piston, and a guide block that forms a cable guide and in which a receptacle receiving the gas generator and a pressure chamber connected in terms of flow to the receptacle are formed, wherein the guide block is connected to the tensioner tube, and the tension cable runs rectilinearly in a piston movement direction from the tensioner tube through the pressure chamber, wherein the guide block forms a linear guide adjoining the pressure chamber such that the tension cable can be led out of the guide block on the side opposite the tensioner tube.

The invention relates to an end-fitting tensioner (1) for a safety belt (2) comprising a tensioning device (10), a hollow belt shaft (20), which can be driven in the winding direction by the tensioning device (10), and a locking device (30), which can lock within the belt shaft (20) a fitting element (40) attached in a tension-resistant manner to one end (2a) of the safety belt (2), wherein the hollow belt shaft (20) comprises an insertion slot (21), through which the fitting element (40) attached to the safety belt (2) can be inserted radially into the interior of the hollow belt shaft (20), wherein, when the fitting element (40) is inserted into the hollow belt shaft (20), the locking device (30) is triggered, and a movable locking element (31) of the locking device (30) is shifted from an unlocking position to a locking position that locks the fitting element (40) in the belt shaft (20), and wherein the locking position can be secured by means of a securing element (32). According to the invention, it is envisaged that the securing element (31) is attached to the locking element (31) and is moved together with the latter during the shifting of the locking element (31) from the unlocking position of the locking element (31) into the locking position of the locking element (31).
