Webbing take-up device
A webbing take-up device includes a spool. The webbing take-up device also includes a lock base and a coupling member that are provided so as to rotatable as an integral unit with the spool, and that engage with a rack so as to be rotated and to rotate the spool in a take-up direction when the rack is moved. The webbing take-up device further includes a rack housing section that includes a pair of wall spaced apart from each other in a rotation axis direction of the lock base and the coupling member so as to form a space in which the lock base and the coupling member are disposed. The rack housing section is provided with an abutted portion that is abutted by a part of the coupling member so as to restrict the lock base and the coupling member from moving in the rotation axis direction.
Seat belt retractor with auxiliary spool locking system
A vehicle seat belt assembly having a seat belt retractor with a spool rotatable with respect to a retractor frame, the spool storing a seat belt webbing wrapped thereon. The retractor also includes a primary locking mechanism for selectively locking the spool with respect to the retractor frame to provide vehicle occupant restraint. The retractor further includes an auxiliary locking mechanism for selectively locking the spool with respect to the retractor frame upon a predetermined restraint load acting on the spool.
Safety belt retractor, a vehicle safety belt and a vehicle
A safety belt retractor, a vehicle safety belt with the safety belt retractor and a vehicle with the vehicle safety belt are provided. The safety belt retractor is provided, on an end segment thereof, with a pre-tensioning, force-limiting and decoupling device that comprises a safety belt reel (1), a driving element (2), a sleeve (3) and an energy absorbing disc (4). The safety belt reel (1) is provided with a first recess (10) and a second recess. A first helical surface (9) is arranged in the first recess (10), and the driving element (2) is provided with a first projection (21) having a second helical surface acting together with the first helical surface (9). The sleeve (3) is provided with a second projection (31) mounted in the second recess. Under a predetermined load, the second projection (31) is cut off, such that the energy absorbing disc (4) is plastically deformed due to squeezing. The safety belt retractor achieves on the same end segment, the pre-tensioning, force-limiting and decoupling functions as well as a compact structure.
Seat belt retractor
A seat belt retractor that includes a torsion bar is positioned in a spool. The second end of the torsion bar is engaged with a locking mechanism mounted to the frame. The torsion bar is configured to be locked at the second end while the first end rotates with the spool so that the torsion bar deforms to absorb force. The locking mechanism includes a lock base and a locking hub that is mounted to the second end of the torsion bar and is releasably connected to the lock base to prevent the second end of the torsion bar from rotating. The locking hub is configured to be released and rotate relative to the lock base to thereby permit rotation of the second end of the torsion bar with the first end of the torsion bar and the spool.
Belt retractor having a force limitation device
A belt retractor for a motor vehicle seat belt, with a belt shaft (1) in a housing frame, a profile head (2) which can be locked and a force limitation device (3) with a first end (4) coupled to the profile head (2) and a second end (5) is coupled to the belt shaft (1) and which allows a force-limited relative rotation of the belt shaft (1) with regard to the locked profile head (2). A connection tube (6) surrounds the force limitation device (3) with a locking hook (7), which during the relative rotation with regard to the profile head (2) slides over an external circumference of the connection tube (6) and on reaching a predetermined angle of rotation of the belt shaft (1) engages in a locking groove (8) on the connection tube (6), the coupling the connection tube (6) to the belt shaft (1) The connection tube (6) is produced in one piece with the profile head (2), so that on engagement of the locking hook (7) in the locking groove (8) the belt shaft (1) is locked via the profile head (2) to the housing frame in a non-rotational manner.
Seat-belt retractor
A seat-belt retractor comprising a seat-belt spindle which is rotatably mounted in a housing, an electric motor for driving the seat-belt spindle, and a gear mechanism that transmits the rotational motion from the electric motor to the seat-belt spindle, where the gear mechanism, when deactivated, can be driven as an assembly for driving the seat-belt spindle with a first torque; the seat-belt retractor has a first part, which, when a tensile force exerted by the seat-belt is exceeded, is driven in a rotational motion opposite to the rotational direction of the electric motor; and a braking device, which brakes the rotational motion of the first part, thereby actuating a blocking device blocking a second part of the gear mechanism, the blocking device activating the gear mechanism to transmit the rotational motion of the electric motor in a reduction ratio to the seat-belt spindle.
SEAT BELT RETRACTOR
A seatbelt retractor for a seat belt device in a vehicle. The retractor includes a frame and a spool configured to be fixed to one end of a seat belt webbing so that the webbing may be wound around the spool. The spool is rotatably mounted at both ends to the frame and configured to rotate in a webbing extraction direction and a webbing retraction direction. The retractor includes a staged torsion bar positioned end to end in the spool along an axis of rotation of the spool. The retractor also includes a shift assembly to shift between the stages of the staged torsion bar. The shift assembly includes a shift link locked by a shift collar and a shift ring meshed in a shift plate.
Energy absorbing seat belt retractor
An energy absorbing seat belt retractor used with a seat belt assembly of a motor vehicle. The seat belt retractor includes a reel for winding and unwinding the seat belt and an elongated shaft, with the reel attached to the shaft. In one example, a movable disc is connected to and moves longitudinally along the shaft. At least one of the reel or movable disc includes a friction layer providing a friction surface such that when the movable disc is driven axially toward the reel there is frictional engagement between the reel and movable disc that absorbs impact energy on the occupant and limits the load applied to the seat belt.
SEATBELT RETRACTOR ASSEMBLY
A seatbelt retractor includes a spool. The seatbelt retractor includes a torsion bar elongated along an axis within the spool and defining passages elongated parallel to the axis, the passages spaced from each other surrounding the axis.
SEATBELT RETRACTOR ASSEMBLY
A seatbelt retractor includes a spool elongated along an axis. The seatbelt retractor includes a cylinder supported in the spool and having a thread. The seatbelt retractor includes a torsion bar in the cylinder and having a thread engaged with the thread of the cylinder. The seatbelt retractor includes a stopper supported by the torsion bar at the thread of the torsion bar and spaced from the cylinder.
