LOAD LIMITING SEATBELT RETRACTOR
A vehicle includes a seatbelt retractor. The seatbelt retractor includes a housing. The seatbelt retractor includes a spool having a first end and a second end each rotatably supported by the housing. The spool is elongated on an axis from the first end to the second end. The seatbelt retractor includes a torsion bar having a first end fixed to the first end of the spool and a second end operatively engaged with the housing. The torsion bar has a central cavity. The seatbelt retractor includes a heating filament disposed in the central cavity.

WEBBING TAKE-UP DEVICE
In a webbing take-up device, in a case in which the acceleration with which a webbing is pulled out from a spool, which is based on the radius of the webbing taken up on the spool and the angular acceleration of rotation of the spool in the pull-out direction that are detected by an angle-of-rotation sensor, is equal to or greater than a predetermined acceleration, a lock mechanism locks the rotation of the spool in the pull-out direction. For this reason, the rotation of the spool can be locked on based on the acceleration with which the webbing is pulled out from the spool.

SEAT BELT SAFETY APPARATUS FOR VEHICLE
A seat belt safety apparatus for a vehicle is provided and implements both of the functions of a retractor and a pretensioner in a structure with a seat belt disposed in a seat. The functions of a retractor and a pretensioner are separated in the seat belt safety apparatus to reduce the installation space.

WEBBING TAKE-UP DEVICE
The rotatable locking section engages with the fixed locking section resulting in pull-out direction rotation of the spool being locked. The webbing take-up device includes a permanent magnet and an electromagnet that restrict displacement of the rotatable locking section toward the fixed locking section, and that are actuated in a vehicle emergency so as to displace the rotatable locking section toward the fixed locking section. A restricting force of the rotatable locking section by the permanent magnet and the electromagnet is set such that the rotatable locking section is displaced toward the fixed locking section by an inertial force that spins the rotatable locking section about its own center of rotation when the electromagnet is deactivated and the spool has been rotated in the pull-out direction with an angular acceleration greater than a predetermined angular acceleration.

LOAD LIMITING SEATBELT RETRACTOR
A seatbelt retractor includes a frame and a spool having a first end and a second end each rotatably supported by the frame. The spool is elongated on an axis from the first end to the second end. The seatbelt retractor includes a plurality of torsion posts fixed to the frame. The seatbelt retractor includes a locking device operatively coupled between the spool and the plurality of torsion posts.
