Seatbelt device
An inclination controlling mechanism of a seatbelt device is provided with: a pulley that converts an advancing/retracting movement of a cable of the cable advancing/retracting mechanism; a drive gear mounted around a pivot shaft of the pulley and synchronized with rotation of the pulley; and a driven gear mounted around a pivot shaft of a sensor housing so as to move in conjunction with a rotation of the sensor housing. The drive gear and driven gear engage with each other in a condition where a rotational track surface of the drive gear and rotational track surface of the driven gear intersect at a predetermined angle. As a result, an inertial body supporting surface serving as a sensor reference plane can be accurately maintained horizontally even at an arbitrary seatback recline angle, and thus the accuracy of the acceleration sensor can be improved.

Belt retractor
The invention describes a belt retractor for a vehicle seat belt comprising a belt reel (12) supported for rotation in a frame, a sensor (16) for vehicle-sensitive blocking of the belt reel (12) and a mechanism (17) for disabling the sensor (16). Via a gear (18) supported for rotation on the frame and a cam follower (22) the belt reel (12) acts on the mechanism (17) for disabling the sensor (16) and can adjust the same.

Sensor for a vehicle safety device
The invention relates to a sensor (310), in particular for triggering a vehicle safety device (301), having a movable inertia body (350) which is movable relative to a carrier element (340) of the sensor (310), wherein the inertia body (350) is moved by inertia in relation to the carrier element (340) in the event of an abrupt change in speed or an inclination of the sensor (310) beyond a predetermined extent, and is brought from its inoperative position into its triggering position, through which a triggering position of the sensor (310) is brought about. According to the invention, it is provided that the sensor (310) is provided with a deactivation device (700) which is suitable, in its deactivating state, to force the inoperative position of the inertia body (350).

SEATBELT RETRACTOR ASSEMBLY
A system includes a seatbelt retractor having a spool and a braking claw selectively engageable with the spool. The system includes an actuator designed to inhibit engagement of the braking claw with the spool. The system includes a processor and a memory storing program instructions executable by the processor to actuate the actuator to inhibit engagement of the braking claw with the spool for a threshold amount of time after detecting an impact of a vehicle.

VEHICLE OCCUPANT RESTRAINT SYSTEM
A vehicle occupant restraint system is configured to, when a vehicle speed is higher than or equal to a vehicle speed threshold, a steering angle velocity is higher than or equal to a steering angle velocity threshold set for each vehicle speed, and an estimated lateral acceleration is higher than or equal to an acceleration threshold, drive a retractor motor. The steering angle velocity threshold is as a condition to drive the retractor motor. Therefore, by setting an appropriate steering angle velocity threshold according to an amount of movement of an occupant with inertia in a vehicle width direction, the vehicle occupant restraint system is able to take up a webbing when the occupant is estimated to move with inertia by a relatively large amount in the vehicle width direction. The amount of movement with inertia varies for each vehicle speed even at the same steering angle velocity.
