Moreover, the invention provides a seat belt system (10) for a vehicle (14) comprising an extendable seat belt (17, 18) as well as a vehicle (14) comprising a seat belt system (10).

Vehicle Occupancy-Monitoring System
20230093419 · 2023-03-23 ·

The techniques of this disclosure relate to a vehicle occupancy-monitoring system. The system includes a controller circuit that receives occupant data from an occupancy-monitoring sensor of a vehicle. The controller circuit determines an occupancy status of respective seats in a cabin of the vehicle based on the occupancy-monitoring sensor. The controller circuit indicates the occupancy status of the respective seats on a display located in a field of view of occupants of the vehicle. The display is integral to one of a roof light module, a door panel, or a headliner of the cabin. The system can improve passenger safety by alerting the operator and other occupants about the occupancy status of the passengers.

BUCKLE DEVICE CAPABLE OF DISPLAYING LOCKED STATE
20230072193 · 2023-03-09 ·

A buckle device capable of displaying a locked state includes a main body unit, a latch unit, a fastening unit, an electromagnetic unit, and a control unit. The main body unit includes a main body and the latch unit includes a detachable tongue element. The fastening unit includes a bolt body interfering with the tongue element. The electromagnetic unit includes an electromagnetic module and an electromagnetic rod. The electromagnetic module controls the electromagnetic rod to interfere with the bolt body. The control unit includes a control module, a display module and a magnetic rod detection module for detecting the position of the electromagnetic rod. The control unit receives detection information of the magnetic bolt detection module and controls the display module to display a current state according to the position of the at least one electromagnetic rod.

SEAT BELT WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM AND METHOD
20230072915 · 2023-03-09 ·

Disclosed is a seat belt wireless communication system. The system includes a detection unit provided in each seat and detecting a first signal indicating whether or not a seat belt is fastened and a second indicating a battery state, a sub-control unit provided in the each seat and transmitting the first signal and the second signal through wireless communication; and a main control unit, performing the wireless communication with each of the sub-control units, causing the sub-control unit to wake up through the wireless communication, receiving the first signal and the second signal from the sub-control unit, determining whether or not a belt of the each seat is fastened and a charged state of a battery, and controlling an output through the first signal and the second signal.

Student driver monitoring system and method
11475791 · 2022-10-18 · ·

A method and system for student driver monitoring which includes configuring student and instructor devices. For each driving session, configuring at least one the student and instructor devices for pairing the devices; generating a driving session log; monitoring continued pairing of the devices; and uploading the driving session log to a driver training database. The method also includes enabling authorized access to the database to retrieve training information. Pairing the student and instructor devices requires the student and instructor devices to be within a limited range of one another, or in the same vehicle. Vehicle and camera information can be collected for the session log. A seat belt sensor system can indicate whether the student seatbelt is fastened. An unfastened student seatbelt can prevent pairing of the student and instructor devices. Pairing the student and instructor devices can include confirming authentication information.

VEHICLE SEAT CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY

A vehicle seat connector assembly comprising a first connector coupled to the seat of the vehicle and including a first inductive coil. A second connector is coupled to the vehicle and includes a second inductive coil. The first and second connectors are positioned relative to each other into a first relationship with the first and second connectors coupled to each other and the first and second inductive coils positioned opposite each other to define a closed inductive coil circuit and a second relationship with the first and second connectors and the first and second inductive coils separated from each other to define an open inductive coil circuit. A third inductive coil is located on the vehicle seat belt buckle and a coil cable extends between the first inductive coil of the first connector and the third inductive coil.

MOTOR VEHICLE HAVING AT LEAST ONE DRIVER'S SEAT
20230069796 · 2023-03-02 ·

A motor vehicle (1) has a driver’s seat (8) which is assigned a safety belt (20) for a driver. The safety belt (20) here is held on a pivotable bracket (13). This bracket (13) is pivotable between a releasing position, which permits entry, and a restraining position, which protects the driver. The bracket (13) here is disposed in such a manner that said bracket (13) in the releasing position holds the safety belt (20) in a position in which the latter impedes the driver. In order to avoid any impediment of the driver in the restraining position of the bracket (13), the bracket (13) above the driver’s seat is elbowed away from the latter. (FIG. 3)
