Multi-camera vehicle vision system and method
A multi-camera vehicle vision system and method. In one embodiment a map is generated about a moving vehicle. Frames of image data are provided with a series of cameras extending along a surface of the vehicle. The image data frames are processed to identify an object of interest. An object of interest is classified among a set of object types and location of an identified object of interest is determined. Object type and location information is provided to a control unit spaced apart from the cameras via a data link. Road map data is generated to illustrate changes in position of the moving vehicle along a roadway based on data other than the image data provided by the cameras. A display of the road map data is generated with the object type and location information overlaid on the road map data to indicate object location relative to the vehicle.
Periphery monitoring device
A periphery monitoring device according to an embodiment includes, as an example: a processor that generates a display image obtained by viewing, from a virtual viewpoint received through an operation input unit, a point of gaze in a virtual space including a model obtained by pasting a captured image obtained by imaging a surrounding area of a vehicle in a first position of the vehicle at a first time using imaging units provided on the vehicle to a three-dimensional plane around the vehicle, and including a three-dimensional vehicle image provided in a second position of the vehicle at a second time after the first time; and outputs the display image to a display.
Vehicular trailer hitching assist system
A vehicular trailer hitching assist system includes a camera disposed at a rear portion of a vehicle and viewing at least rearward of the vehicle. An electronic control unit (ECU) includes an image processor operable to process image data captured by the camera. The ECU, via image processing of image data captured by the camera, detects a trailer rearward of the vehicle and determines a first path of travel for the vehicle to follow to maneuver the vehicle toward the trailer and to align the tow ball of the vehicle with a trailer hitch of the trailer. The ECU generates an output to maneuver the vehicle along the determined first path of travel. Responsive to detection of an object entering the first path of travel, the ECU determines a second path of travel for the vehicle to follow that avoids the detected object entering the determined path of travel.
Vehicle display control device and vehicle display control method for displaying predicted wheel locus
A vehicle display control device includes: a locus determination unit determining a predicted locus of a wheel of a subject vehicle according to a steering angle of the subject vehicle; and a display processing unit displaying an image of a field view of the subject vehicle including a vehicle body of the subject vehicle on a display device, and the display processing unit superimposes the guide line indicating the predicted locus determined by the locus determination unit on the image of the field view regardless of the steering angle of the subject vehicle, while semi-transparently displaying a portion of the guide line which overlaps with the vehicle body, thereby allowing visibility of the vehicle body.
Cruise-assist image generation device, cruise-assist image generation method, in-vehicle camera and equipment-control assist image generation device
A cruise-assist image generation device includes: a steering-angle information acquisition unit acquiring steering angle information of a steering wheel; an additional line generation unit generating a cruise assist additional line corresponding to the acquired steering angle information and formed by combination of a given number of segments; and an additional line superimposing unit superimposing the generated cruise assist additional line on a taken image of the vehicle periphery to obtain a composite image. The additional line generation unit generates respective curved lines forming part or all of the given number of segments by quadratic curve approximation using coordinate data corresponding to the acquired steering angle information and including coordinates of two endpoints and one middle point representing each segment, and generating respective straight lines forming the remains of the given number of segments by collinear approximation using coordinate data corresponding to the acquired steering angle information and including coordinates of two end points representing each segment.
Parking Assist Method and Parking Assist Device
A parking assist method uses a parking assist device which includes a controller configured to, when a subject vehicle travels by manual driving of a driver, determine whether or not the subject vehicle can be parked in a target parking space from a current position by first parking control for parking the subject vehicle by moving the subject vehicle only backward, and when it is determined that the subject vehicle can be parked in the target parking space by the first parking control, enable acceptance of a selection of the driver to execute the first parking control.
Assisted parking maneuvers for vehicles coupled in a towed recharging arrangement
Leading and trailing electrified vehicles are coupled together in a towing arrangement for in-flight transfer of an electrical charge between their battery systems. With the vehicles connected by a towing device, a parking maneuver is initiated in which the trailing vehicle leads the leading vehicle. For the parking maneuver, one of the vehicles is designated (e.g., automatically or by driver agreement) to be an active steering vehicle and the other vehicle to be a passive steering vehicle. At least the passive steering vehicle comprises an electrically-controlled steering actuator. During movement, a turning (e.g., steering angle) of the active steering vehicle is monitored. Based on the turning of the active steering vehicle, an assistive steering angle is determined for the passive steering vehicle. The electrically-controlled steering actuator is commanded according to the assistive steering angle. The parking maneuver may be reverse or forward.
Periphery monitoring device
A periphery monitoring device includes: an acquisition section acquiring a steering angle of a vehicle; an image acquisition section acquiring a captured image from an image capturing section that captures an image of a periphery of the vehicle; a detection section acquiring detection information of an object around the vehicle; and a control section causing a display section to display a synthesized image including a vehicle image showing the vehicle and a periphery image showing the periphery of the vehicle based on the captured image. When the object is detected on a course of the vehicle traveling at the steering angle by a predetermined distance, the control section causes a virtual vehicle image to be displayed in the synthesized image to be superimposed on a course to the object with a position of the vehicle as a reference.
DISPLAY SYSTEM AND DISPLAY METHOD
A display system according to the present disclosure includes a camera that captures a traveling image of a vehicle in a traveling direction, a display device, one or more storage devices that store a reference deceleration indicating a predetermined deceleration, and one or more processors. The one or more processors are configured to execute a process of acquiring a vehicle speed of the vehicle, a process of an estimated stop position indicating a stop position when braking is applied at the reference deceleration from the vehicle speed, and a process of displaying the estimated stop position to be superimposed on the traveling image on the display device.
