Grommet Installer
An automated grommet installer and methods of installing a grommet. The installer and methods are capable of seating a grommet in an aperture of a window and facilitating correct alignment of the grommet within the window. Grommets are used to support and seal around a window wiper attached to a window. Typically, grommets are asymmetrical to match the curvature of the window. Embodiments of the described installer maintain grommet orientation while inserting the grommet in the window, quickly and efficiently installing the grommet. In embodiments the installer includes a system for identifying an incorrectly loaded grommet prior to installation and alerting an operator. In other embodiments, the installer includes a positioner that positions the grommet proximate to the window for installation and a gripper having one or more fingers reach through the window aperture, engage the grommet, and draw it into position, seated in the window.
WIPER SYSTEM
The invention relates to a method for mounting a wiper system and to a wiper system comprising a first wiper bearing having a first drive shaft for a first wiper arm and a second wiper bearing having a second drive shaft for a second wiper arm, the first and the second drive shafts being non-rotatably connected via a coupling rod. A first retaining means for holding the coupling rod in place on the first wiper bearing is provided in a first defined position and a second retaining means for holding the coupling rod in place on the second wiper bearing is provided in a second defined position.
Wiper apparatus
An object of the present invention is to provide a wiper apparatus reduced in the number of parts. A wiper apparatus 40A has: a drive mechanism 13 for driving a wiper 12 for wiping a front windshield of a vehicle; a gear case 17 in which the drive mechanism 13 is housed, and which is fixed to a vehicle body, wherein the wiper apparatus 40A has: a fixing part 35 provided in the gear case 17 and fixed to the vehicle body; and a fixing part 36 provided in the gear case 17 and fixed to the vehicle body at a position different from a fixed position of the fixing part 35 in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle body.
VEHICLE SPOILER ASSEMBLY
A vehicle spoiler assembly includes a vehicle body structure having a rear window, a rear wiper assembly and a spoiler. The rear wiper apparatus has a motor and a wiper blade arm installed to the vehicle body structure above the rear window. The motor is operable to move the wiper blade arm between a stowed orientation and rear window wiping position such that during movement between the stowed orientation and the rear window wiping position the wiper blade arm moves over and wipes a majority of an outer surface of the rear window. The spoiler attached to the vehicle body structure covers the motor of the rear wiper apparatus and the wiper blade arm with the wiper blade arm in the stowed orientation, at least a portion of the spoiler is configured to access the motor of the rear wiper apparatus.
VEHICLE WINDSHIELD WIPER ASSEMBLY
A support panel adjacent to the windshield opening has an upper surface and a lower surface with a first shaft opening. A wiper drive mechanism is supported to the vehicle body structure and extends along the lower surface of the support panel. The wiper drive mechanism includes a shaft housing and a wiper shaft pivotally supported within the shaft housing. A water diverting panel at least partially covers the wiper drive mechanism and is attached thereto and has a cylindrically shaped portion extending upward therefrom. The cylindrically shaped portion defines a second shaft opening with the shaft housing and wiper shaft extending upward through the second shaft opening and further extending upward through the first shaft opening. A filter member is mounted to the cylindrically shaped portion above the water diverting panel and below the support panel encircling the shaft housing.
WINDSHIELD WIPER ASSEMBLY
A windshield wiper assembly for a vehicle having a drive device provided with an electric motor having a pole-well, and a transmission that can be driven by the electric motor, which is operatively connected to at least one wiper arm, and having a device for fastening the drive device to the vehicle. The device is provided with a tab surrounding the pole-well of the electric motor on the peripheral side, at least in some areas, which is provided with a free end, which protrudes from the pole-well and which is fastened to the vehicle.
Rear seat belt anchorage structure for vehicle
An embodiment rear seat belt anchorage structure for a vehicle includes a rear cross member including a front cross member upper panel at a rear side of a rear seat and extending in a width direction, a front cross member lower panel coupled to a lower portion of the front cross member upper panel, and a rear cross member panel coupling the front cross member upper panel and a rear end of the front cross member lower panel in a height direction, a rear seat belt retractor mounting bracket on an upper surface of the front cross member upper panel and defining an opening through which a webbing of a rear seat belt extends, and a rear seatback mounting bracket on the front cross member upper panel and a front end of the front cross member lower panel and protruding toward the rear seat.
Vehicle with improved cab visibility
A cab for a refuse vehicle includes a cab body defining a first door opening and a second door opening, a first door positioned over the first door opening, and a second door positioned over the second door opening. Each of the first door and the second door includes a door panel and a peep window positioned proximate a lower end of the door panel. The peep window includes an interior windowpane and exterior windowpane. Portions of the interior windowpane and the exterior windowpane are vertically offset and horizontally offset.
