Device designed to detect surroundings and method for cleaning a cover of a device of this type
A device which is designed to detect surroundings and which includes a housing and a sensor situated within the housing. The housing includes a transmitter/receiver window, through which the corresponding sensor signals may be emitted into the surroundings by the sensor, and/or sensor signals from the surroundings may be received. The device includes a cover, the cover being designed to be transparent to the sensor signals, and the cover being designed to cover the transmitter/receiver window against exterior surroundings of the device. The device includes a cleaning unit, which is situated at an outside of the housing and is movable relative to the housing using a drive unit. The cleaning unit is designed to remove contaminants from the cover. The cleaning unit includes at least one first nozzle to spray a cleaning liquid onto the cover, and at least one second nozzle to blow a gas onto the cover.
Cleaning device, cleaning and sensor system for a vehicle, and vehicle, and method for cleaning a surface of a sensor
A cleaning device is for a vehicle. The cleaning device has at least one cleaning nozzle configured to apply a cleaning fluid to a surface to be cleaned of at least one sensor, a fluid supply unit, in particular a fluid valve or a pump, configured to selectively provide the cleaning fluid to the cleaning nozzle, and an actuator for generating a cleaning movement of the cleaning nozzle. It is provided in the cleaning device that the cleaning device has a switching unit for controlling the actuator, such that the cleaning movement can be generated independently of the fluid supply unit.
Sensor assembly with cleaning system
A sensor assembly includes a cylindrical sensor window defining an axis, and an annular member coupled to the sensor window and rotatable about the axis. The annular member includes a nozzle aimed at the sensor window and oriented at an acute angle from a radial direction toward the axis in a plane orthogonal to the axis.
WINDSHIELD CLEAN SYSTEM
A cleaning device for a surface, such as a windshield of a vehicle, includes an active positioning system and a cleaning head. The active positioning system is configured to deploy from a storage position hidden from view within a covered storage space and to position the cleaning head upon the windshield. The active positioning system includes a first extension member and a second extension member that move relative to one another to position the cleaning head, and also move the cleaning head across the windshield along a path. The cleaning head can have a brush portion configured to agitate debris from the window, and a drying portion configured to dry the window after cleaning. The cleaning device can be controlled via a touch-screen display in the vehicle, enabling a user to direct that specific portions of the windshield be cleaned as desired.
Moving body control apparatus
An image capturing unit captures a periphery of a moving body through a transmitting portion. A heater is capable of heating the transmitting portion. An air-conditioning unit switches an air-conditioning state in the moving body between an inside air circulation state and an outside air introduction state. A control unit controls the heater. The control unit can make the heater operate intermittently, and perform control so that an OFF time of the heater during an intermittent operation will be shorter in the case in which the air-conditioning state is set to the inside air circulation state than the case in which the air-conditioning state is set to the outside air introduction state.
Air Cleaning Device
A cleaning device for cleaning a cover lens of a vehicle headlamp is configured to generate an airstream and direct it towards the cover lens. The cleaning device includes at least one air stream device (ASD) configured to generate at least one airstream in an airflow direction. Each ASD includes an air chamber having a spreading section for spreading the received air, a homogenization section for homogenizing the spread air, and a nozzle for outputting the received air in the airflow direction and forming the respective airstream. The spreading section includes a guide channel configured to spread the received air transversely to the airflow direction and to guide the received air to the homogenization section. The ASD is formed by: (i) a main component including parts of each of the spreading section, homogenization section, and nozzle of the air chamber of each ASD, (ii) a separation component including parts of the spreading section and nozzle, wherein the separation and main components form the spreading section of each ASD, and (iii) a cover component including parts of the homogenization portion and nozzle, wherein the cover, main, and separation components form the homogenization section and the nozzle of the ASD.
DE-ICING SYSTEM FOR A SENSOR
A de-icing system for a sensor is provided. The de-icing system has a heating element for tempering a fluid, a flow generator for driving a fluid, and a cover element, which separates an external area from an internal area. The cover element is configured in such a way that a fluid driven by the flow generator flows along the cover element, in order to heat the cover element up.
SYSTEM FOR CLEANING AN OPTICAL SENSOR, ASSEMBLY COMPRISING A SYSTEM OF SAID TYPE, AND ASSOCIATED MOTOR VEHICLE
The invention relates to a system (1) for cleaning an optical sensor (3), in particular for a motor vehicle, comprising: at least one projection member (5) for protecting a cleaning fluid, characterized in that the system (1) includes a confinement wall (11) that supports the at least one projection member (5) and can move from a retracted position in which the confinement wall is designed to be outside the field of view of the optical sensor (3) and a cleaning position in which the confinement wall (11) is designed to be located across from the optical sensor (3) and in which the at least one projection member (5) is positioned in such a way as to project the cleaning fluid against the optical sensor (3).
Non-contact cleaning system
This technology relates to a system for clearing sensors. The system may include an air knife configured to clear a sensor housing of debris. The air knife may be attached to a bearing comprising a bearing ring. The system may also include a motor, wherein the motor is configured to rotate the bearing ring around the sensor housing.
TELESCOPIC CLEANING DEVICE FOR MOTOR VEHICLE
