Window wiping assembly
A window wiping assembly for removing moisture and debris from a side window of a vehicle includes a positioning element that is mountable to an exterior surface of a vehicle door having a window opening positioned therein. The positioning element extends substantially between opposed endpoints of a lower edge of the window opening. A wiper blade is engaged to and extends from an inner face of the positioning element so that an outer edge of the wiper blade contacts an exterior face of a window that is positioned in the window opening. The wiper blade extends substantially between opposed ends of the positioning element. The wiper blade removes moisture and debris from the exterior face of the window as the window is raised and lowered within the window opening.
Outside viewing device for a vehicle, comprising a camera
An outside viewing device for a vehicle, having a camera that is housed in a casing having a frontal wall through which there passes an imaging window, and an internal partition which is parallel to the frontal wall and through which there passes an opening next to the imaging window. In addition, two peripheral wiper seals, disposed at the periphery of the window and the opening, delimit a guide in which a transparent screen slides, in a sealed manner, between at least two imaging positions, in each of which different surface portions of the screen are positioned next to the imaging window. Finally, a device for moving the screen is designed to slide the latter between its different positions.
DEVICE OF UNMANNED VEHICLE WITH SENSOR DEVICE AND CLEANING MECHANISM
The present disclosure relates to vehicle technology, and more particularly, to an unmanned vehicle and its sensor device and cleaning mechanism. The cleaning mechanism includes: a housing, a cleaning element, a driving component transmissively connected to the cleaning element and a control unit installed within a receiving cavity. The housing has a light transmissive element provided on a side surface thereof. The cleaning element is pivotable about one end thereof and mounted to the housing. The cleaning element, when pivoting, frictionally interacts with a surface of the light transmissive element that is away from the receiving cavity to clean the light transmissive element. The control unit is communicatively connected to the driving component for controlling the driving component.
Cleaning device for an imaging sensor
A cleaning device for cleaning a sensing element of a vehicular camera includes a cleaning element movable between a first position and a second position to contact a surface of the sensing element. The cleaning device also includes a mechanism coupled to the cleaning element to move the cleaning element between the first position and the second position.
Method for controlling wipers based on a camera exposure time
A computer implemented method for operating a wiper system of a sensor enclosure. The wiper system can be configured to receive a camera operating information from one or more cameras. The one or more cameras can be determined to be in an exposure mode based on the camera operating information. A first speed of one or more wipers can be adjusted such that the one or more wipers are not in field of views of the one or more cameras while the one or more cameras are in the exposure mode.
Device designed to detect surroundings and method for cleaning a cover of a device of this type
A device which is designed to detect surroundings and which includes a housing and a sensor situated within the housing. The housing includes a transmitter/receiver window, through which the corresponding sensor signals may be emitted into the surroundings by the sensor, and/or sensor signals from the surroundings may be received. The device includes a cover, the cover being designed to be transparent to the sensor signals, and the cover being designed to cover the transmitter/receiver window against exterior surroundings of the device. The device includes a cleaning unit, which is situated at an outside of the housing and is movable relative to the housing using a drive unit. The cleaning unit is designed to remove contaminants from the cover. The cleaning unit includes at least one first nozzle to spray a cleaning liquid onto the cover, and at least one second nozzle to blow a gas onto the cover.
Wiper timing and geometry to minimize sensor occlusion
This technology relates to a system for clearing a sensor cover. The system may be comprised of a first sensor that rotates within a sensor cover, a plurality of second sensors that are fixed relative to the sensor cover, a first wiper that is configured to clear the sensor cover of debris, and a motor. The motor may rotate the first wiper in a first direction at a first predetermined rotation rate defined at least in part by a second predetermined rotation rate of the first sensor.
Image recording device, assembly, cleaning device and motor vehicle
The invention relates to an image recording device for a body of a motor vehicle. The device comprises a housing part, an optical element having an outer surface, and a driving part for engaging an engaging part of a movable cleaning device. The movable cleaning device comprises furthermore a cleaning part, preferably formed by a wiper part, for at least partly cleaning the outer surface. The driving part is furthermore for driving the movable cleaning device to have the cleaning part at least partly clean the outer surface of the optical element. The image recording device is adjustable between a first condition in which the image recording device allows at least partly introducing or taking out the engaging part of the movable cleaning device and a second condition in which the image recording device prevents the engaging part of the movable cleaning device being taken out or being introduced.
System and method for automated cleaning
The present disclosure provides automatic cleaning system and method. The automatic cleaning system includes a control unit, a Micro Control Unit (MCU), a cleaning device and a sensor device. The control unit is configured to determine a cleaning type for cleaning a protective cover of a camera based on an image captured by the camera and the measured temperature and humidity on the outer surface of the protective cover. The control unit is also configured to generate a cleaning instruction based on the cleaning type. The control unit is also configured to send the instruction to the MCU. The MCU is configured to control the cleaning device to clean the protective cover of the camera in accordance with the cleaning instruction in response to receiving the instruction sent from the control unit.
Mirror cleaning system
A mirror cleaning system, an improved mirror for a vehicle having the system installed thereto, and a method of cleaning the improved mirror using the system. The system includes a housing attachable to a vehicle side mirror, a heating element operably connected to a power source, a wiper, and a spray nozzle fluidly connected to a cleaning fluid source. The system is designed to de-ice and de-frost the improved mirror, spray cleaning fluid thereon, and wipe debris and fluids to improve driver visibility.
