METHODS AND SYSTEM FOR STARTING AN ENGINE
Systems and methods for starting an engine of a hybrid powertrain or driveline that includes an engine and a driveline disconnect clutch are described. In one example, a motor/generator rotates one side of an open driveline disconnect clutch that is coupled to a transmission, and then closes the open driveline disconnect clutch in response to motor/generator acceleration being less than a threshold.

A first warming-up control unit calculates warming-up time charging power from a power storage SOC and power storage temperature and causes a generator motor to perform power generation operation thereby charging a power storage unit on the basis of the calculated warming-up time charging power. A second warming-up control unit applies, during the power generation operation, a hydraulic load to a hydraulic pump by a hydraulic load unit and performs horsepower control of the hydraulic pump using a value obtained by subtracting the warming-up time charging power from preset warming-up time pump horsepower.
Hybrid construction machine
A first warming-up control unit calculates warming-up time charging power from a power storage SOC and power storage temperature and causes a generator motor to perform power generation operation thereby charging a power storage unit on the basis of the calculated warming-up time charging power. A second warming-up control unit applies, during the power generation operation, a hydraulic load to a hydraulic pump by a hydraulic load unit and performs horsepower control of the hydraulic pump using a value obtained by subtracting the warming-up time charging power from preset warming-up time pump horsepower.

A method (400) and apparatus 10-4 for carrying out the method of mitigating fuel in oil in an internal combustion engine of a hybrid electric vehicle, the method comprising: detecting events in which the engine is on for less than a predetermined engine on duration and a temperature of engine oil in the engine is below a predetermined temperature for the engine on duration (410); counting the detected events (420); when the number of detected events counted reaches a threshold count value and the vehicle speed exceeds a threshold vehicle speed value, running the engine for a predetermined warm up duration or until the temperature of the engine oil exceeds a predetermined warm up temperature (450).

A method (100) and apparatus (10-1) for carrying out the method of mitigating fuel in oil in an internal combustion engine of a hybrid electric vehicle. the method comprising: detecting one or more of a catalyst temperature and a turbine temperature (110); and when the one or more of the catalyst temperature and the turbine temperature exceeds a first temperature threshold, limiting engine torque below a threshold engine torque required for the operation of an enrichment phase of engine operation (120). wherein the enrichment phase of engine operation provides a lambda value less than 1.

Methods and systems for evacuating lubricant from an area of an axle are described. The lubricant may be evacuated away from one or more clutches during low temperatures so that a clutch may be engaged while having to displace less lubricant to engage the clutch. In one example, an electric machine may be rotated to evacuate lubricant away from the clutch.
Method for cold start lube evacuation
Methods and systems for evacuating lubricant from an area of an axle are described. The lubricant may be evacuated away from one or more clutches during low temperatures so that a clutch may be engaged while having to displace less lubricant to engage the clutch. In one example, an electric machine may be rotated to evacuate lubricant away from the clutch.

A method for controlling a line pressure of a hybrid vehicle includes applying, by a controller, a set current corresponding to a target pressure to a first solenoid valve controlling the line pressure, driving, by the controller, a second solenoid valve to open an engine clutch after the applying step, comparing, by the controller, a difference value between a real pressure of the engine clutch sensed by a pressure sensor and the target pressure with a preset pressure after the driving step, and as a result of performing the comparing step, if the difference value is equal to or greater than the preset pressure, controlling, by the controller, an increase of a revolution per minute (RPM) speed of the electric oil pump and an increase of a pressure of the first solenoid valve to be alternately generated.
Control apparatus for vehicle
A control apparatus for a vehicle may include an engine, a fuel tank, a feed pump, a pressure sensor, a motor and an electric storage apparatus. The feed pump feeds the fuel to a port injection valve. The pressure sensor detects a fuel pressure that is fed to the port injection valve. The motor performs cranking of the engine at start time of the engine. The control apparatus includes an ECU. The ECU controls the feed pump based on a detection value of the pressure sensor and controls the motor in order to start the engine. The ECU controls the feed pump and the motor such that the electric storage apparatus feeds electric power to the motor in preference to the feed pump, when an electric power that the electric storage apparatus is able to output at the start time of the engine is less than a determination threshold.
