HUMAN MACHINE INTERACTION MONITOR
An apparatus comprises an interface and a control circuit. The interface may be configured to receive a plurality of sensor signals from a vehicle platform of a vehicle and present one or more control signals to the vehicle platform. The control circuit may be configured to (i) detect whether an attention state of a driver is in an attentive state or an inattentive state in response to one or more of the plurality of sensor signals from the vehicle platform during a first window having a first duration, (ii) assess whether the driver is sufficiently attentive by monitoring the one or more of the plurality of sensor signals from the vehicle platform and determining whether changes in the attention state of the driver during a second window having a second duration that is longer than the first duration exceeds a threshold, and (iii) when the threshold is exceeded, transition operation of the vehicle to the driver and safely discontinue an automation system function of the vehicle.
APPARATUS FOR CONTROLLING AUTOMATED DRIVING, AND METHOD THEREOF
The present invention relates to an autonomous driving control apparatus and an autonomous driving control method, and an exemplary embodiment of the present invention provides the autonomous driving control apparatus including: a driver seating sensor configured to recognize whether or not the driver is seated; a driver monitoring device configured to recognize whether a driver is looking ahead; and a processor configured to determine whether control authority is switchable for activating an autonomous driving control function based on sensing results of the driver seating sensor and the driver monitoring device.
Distributed system for access control and sobriety testing
The invention relates to a distributed system (1; 11; 21) for access control and sobriety testing comprising an authorization control and sobriety testing station (2; 12; 22; 32), which obtains authorization data and a bodily signature sample from an individual seeking access, a central control unit (3; 13; 23; 33), which, if there is a positive verification of the authorization data and no detection of alcohol in the bodily signature sample, issues temporary authorization information, and at least one access control unit (4; 14; 24), which obtains the temporary authorization information and, upon a positive verification of the temporary authorization information, grants access to the individual who is seeking such access.

Physical Driver Condition Determination for Vehicle Safety
A computer-implemented method for determining a physical condition of a driver of a vehicle. The method includes receiving at least one image taken by a vehicle camera. The image shows at least a part of the driver and a sensor to be operated by the driver to determine the physical condition. The method includes determining, based on the image, if the sensor is operated by the driver.
A SYSTEM FOR DETECTING THE EXISTENCE OF ILLEGAL ACTIVE SUBSTANCES IN A DRIVER OF A VEHICLE
There is provided a system for the measuring of the BAC and/or possible existence of illegal active substances in a driver (4) of a vehicle, the system characterized in that it comprises: a first portable device (1) which comprises at least one sensor for detecting the BAC and/or other illegal active substances of said driver (4); and a second device (2) fixedly mounted on the vehicle and which it is interfaced with said first portable device (1) to receive/send one or more electrical signals to a control unit, the latter being mounted on said vehicle; the arrangement being such that said electrical signals from said second device (2) are related to the detected/sensed values of BAC and/or other illegal active substances and coming from said first device (1), and said control unit being adapted to control the management of the whole vehicle consequently and according to the values of said electrical signals.
