Three-wheeled vehicle
A vehicle includes a plurality of ground-engaging members, a frame assembly supported by the ground-engaging members, and a powertrain assembly supported by the frame. The powertrain assembly includes at least an engine. The vehicle further includes a cooling assembly fluidly coupled to at least the engine and which includes a radiator and at least one fan positioned rearward of the radiator and angled relative to the radiator.
Safe three-wheeled tilting vehicles' frame and steering with two front wheels
Safe, three-wheeled tilting scooter or motorcycle frames with two front steerable, non-tilting wheels are described herein, as well as three-wheeled tilting vehicles with various propulsion systems mounted on such frames are also disclosed. Said vehicles are preferably non-polluting, such as electric or fueled by hydrogen.
Narrow ultra efficient three wheeled vehicle with automotive class feel
An electric three wheeled vehicle includes a vehicle chassis supporting a vehicle operator seat or saddle. The vehicle chassis defines a storage region beneath the vehicle operator seat or saddle. One or more energy storage devices for powering one or more electric motors of the vehicle are located within the storage region and are supported by the chassis. The storage region and/or the energy storage device(s) each form an elongate three-dimensional volume having a long axis that is parallel to a longitudinal axis of the vehicle.
Automatic tilting vehicle
Automatic tilting vehicle is provided that includes left and right front wheels supported by knuckles, a rear wheel steered by a steering actuator, a vehicle tilting device, and a control unit. The control unit calculates a target tilt angle of the vehicle and a target steered angle of the rear wheel based on a steering angle and a vehicle speed, controls the vehicle tilting device so that a tilt angle of the vehicle becomes the target tilt angle, and controls the steering actuator so that a steered angle of the rear wheel becomes the target steered angle. When the vehicle is turning and decelerating, a steered angle of the rear wheel is controlled not to be the target steered angle but to zero, and a tilt angle of the vehicle is reduced by a gyro moment of the rear wheel.
MODULAR ROLLING CHASSIS FOR A VEHICLE
The present invention relates to a modular way to build a rolling chassis using composite materials without custom forming, and yielding appropriate weight distribution (centre of gravity) and torsional and bending rigidity.
Suspension assembly for a tilting vehicle, forecarriage and tilting vehicle
Suspension assembly including a body associable to the chassis of the tilting vehicle and two junction devices opposite with respect to the body; the junction devices being articulated to the body by means of connecting elements, wherein each junction device includes a first structural junction portion rotoidally coupled in a first coupling site to a first connecting element and a second structural joint portion rotoidally coupled in a second coupling site to a second connecting element; and wherein the suspension assembly further includes elasto-damping elements associated with the hinge devices and adapted to damp the stresses transmitted by the wheels; and wherein each hinge device includes a dynamic junction portion rotoidally coupled to a elasto-damping element in a dynamic junction coupling site; and wherein the junction device rigidly determines the relative positioning and spatial orientation of the first structural joint portion, the second structural joint portion and the dynamic joint portion; the suspension assembly further comprising having a rocker arm element associated in a titling fashion to the body and to the elasto-damping elements.
Vehicle caddy
Disclosed is a caddy system for personal vehicle. As a two or three-wheeled vehicle. The term personal vehicle as used herein is intended as a broad classification for two and three wheeled motorcycles. It further includes three and four wheeled all-terrain (ATV) vehicles. In broad terms, the caddy includes a platform that is supported by a series of wheels. The caddy is designed to be tipped forwardly or rearwardly as needed to allow the vehicle to enter onto and exit off the platform. Once upon the caddy, a single user can easily move, maneuver, or manipulate the vehicle. This is ideal for storing and/or maintaining the vehicle.
Vehicle powertrain with dual-independent transmissions
A dual-independent powertrain for a vehicle includes a transmission enclosure that houses a first transmission and a second transmission that are mechanically decoupled from each other. The enclosure includes a central frame, a first enclosure cover that interfaces with the central frame to collectively define a first transmission region on a first side of the central frame, and a second enclosure cover that interfaces with the central frame to collectively define a second transmission region on a second side of the central frame. The first transmission is housed within the first transmission region, and the second transmission is house within the second transmission region. Each transmission includes a motor-interfacing shaft that interfaces with a respective electric motor, a drive-interfacing shaft that interfaces with a respective drive wheel of a vehicle, and a multi-stage gear train mechanically coupling the motor-interfacing shaft and the drive-interfacing shaft.
Self-balancing tilting vehicle with tilting priority
A self-balancing tilting vehicle comprising a rear frame section having two drive wheels and a front frame section having at least one front wheel, connected to the rear frame section such as to be tiltable about a tilt axis that extends in a length direction, the front frame section carrying a driver seat, the rear frame section comprising an electric propulsion drive for rotating the drive wheels, an electric tilting drive for tilting the front frame section about the tilting axis and a power generating unit, the front wheel being rotatable about a steering axis that extends transversely to the tilt axis, characterised in that the drive unit of the tilting vehicle is cut off well before the tilting drive.
