The dual wheel adapter assembly may include a hollow cylindrical adapter, including a central bore defined by an inner surface of the adapter, a first contact surface, and a second contact surface. The dual wheel adapter assembly may also include an inboard wheel rim configured to support a tire, an outboard wheel rim configured to support a tire, and a wedge clamp configured to be coupled to the hub. The first contact surface may abut the hub and the wedge clamp may apply a compressive force to the second contact surface to couple the adapter to the hub.

The present invention relates to a work machine, in particular in the form of a dump truck or truck, comprising a traction drive unit and/or main work unit which can be driven by a drive apparatus comprising at least one electric motor. The invention further relates to a method for operating such a work machine, in accordance with the invention, the drive apparatus comprises at least one hydraulic motor supporting the electric motor, the hydraulic motor being switched in for starting the drive apparatus and being decoupled on an exceeding of a predefined speed.
Dump truck
A dump truck includes: a vehicle body; a cooling fan disposed in front of the vehicle body in a travel direction; an engine disposed behind the cooling fan; a platform covering the cooling fan and a top of the engine; an exhaust aftertreatment device disposed behind the engine and above the platform; an opening through which an upper side of the platform communicates with a lower side thereof and provided in front of the exhaust aftertreatment device; and a duct provided to a lower surface of the platform and comprising a base-end opening connected to the opening and a leading-end opening directed to the cooling fan.
PRESSURE SENSOR FOR POWER TAKE OFF
The present invention provides improved, real time sensing of pressure supplied to the hydraulic operator of a clutch for a motor vehicle driveline power take off. A proportional sensor in the hydraulic line to the power take off clutch actuator provides a data signal in real time of the actual pressure applied to the clutch actuator. This signal is provided to the power take off control module (PCM) and/or to the transmission control module (TCM). The power take off control module, having instantaneous data regarding the pressure applied to the hydraulic operator achieves two important operating functions: monitoring and feedback.
Vehicle mounting assembly for a fuel supply
A mounting assembly for supporting a fuel supply on a vehicle, which is specifically adapted for the operable support and positioning of an auxiliary fuel supply. The vehicle with which the mounting assembly is utilized may vary significantly, but is primarily structured for use on mine haul vehicles, bulldozers, and other heavy duty commercial vehicles, wherein the operation thereof is significantly benefited or enhanced through the provision of an auxiliary, or alternate fuel supply such as, but not limited to, liquid natural gas (LNG), selectively powering the engine of the vehicle as determined by an improved electronic control system. The mounting assembly comprises a containment structure in the form of at least one fuel tank and a housing is structured to enclose the fuel tank. A base supports the housing and provides a pivot point about which the housing may be disposed between a first and second orientation.
SUPPLEMENTAL ELECTRIC DRIVE WITH PRIMARY ENGINE RECOGNITION FOR ELECTRIC DRIVE CONTROLLER ADAPTATION
Through-the-road (TTR) hybrid designs using control strategies such as an equivalent consumption minimization strategy (ECMS) or an adaptive ECMS are implemented at the supplemental torque delivering electrically-powered drive axle (or axles) in a manner that follows operational parameters or computationally estimates states of the primary drivetrain and/or fuel-fed engine, but does not itself participate in control of the fuel-fed engine or primary drivetrain. BSFC type data particular to the paired-with fuel-fed engine allows an ECMS implementation (or other similar control strategy) to adapt to efficiency curves for the particular fuel-fed engine and to improve overall efficiencies of the TTR hybrid configuration.

A dump truck includes: a main frame that extends in a front-back direction of a vehicle body; an engine installed on the main frame; an exhaust aftertreatment device that is supported by the main frame and purifies exhaust gas from the engine; and a communication pipe having a first end connected to the engine and a second end connected to the exhaust aftertreatment device, in which the exhaust gas discharged from the engine flows to the exhaust aftertreatment device. The communication pipe includes: an upstream pipe extending from the engine to a lateral side thereof; a bellows pipe angularly connected to the upstream pipe and extending in an up-down direction; and a downstream pipe angularly connected to the bellows pipe.
