Arrangement structure for vicinity information detection sensor
An arrangement structure for a vicinity information detection sensor, the arrangement structure comprising: a vicinity information detection sensor provided on a roof of a fuel cell bus; and an obstruction portion provided between the vicinity information detection sensor and a hydrogen tank disposed on the roof, the obstruction portion obstructing the hydrogen tank from coming into contact with the vicinity information detection sensor.
AUTONOMOUS VEHICLE OPERATION BASED ON PASSENGER-COUNT
A system for operating an autonomous vehicle includes a passenger-detector and a controller-circuit. The passenger-detector is operable to determine a passenger-count of passengers present in a host-vehicle. The controller-circuit is in communication with the passenger-detector and vehicle-controls of the host-vehicle. The controller-circuit is configured to operate the host-vehicle in an autonomous-mode and in accordance with a parameter. The parameter is set to an empty-value when passenger-count is equal to zero, and the parameter is set to an occupied-value different from the empty-value when the passenger count is greater than zero.
Interlocking strap clamp
A clamp for holding a looped strap as required for a passenger assist strap on a railing in a public transit vehicle, comprising a first piece and a second piece with interlocking sides to hold the strap loop together and also prevent the first and second pieces from twisting out of alignment.
ILLUMINATED SIGNS FOR VEHICLES, MOUNTING SYSTEMS THEREFOR AND RELATED METHODS
A self-contained illuminated sign for mounting on a vehicle is disclosed. The sign includes a front panel, a rear panel situated opposite and substantially parallel to the front panel in spaced relation therefrom to define a space therebetween, and a light source comprising a plurality of LEDs. The light source is positioned between the front and rear panels and is configured to emit light that emanates from the front panel. The front panel is thus backlit to display indicia. A system for supporting a self-contained illuminated sign on a vehicle is also disclosed. The system includes the sign and a separate mounting frame mountable on a vehicle. The mounting frame is configured to removably receive the sign and, when the sign is received in the mounting frame, to surround a perimeter of the sign while permitting visibility of the front display area. Related methods are also disclosed.
Method and control unit for operating a vehicle
A method of operating a vehicle (2) which recurrently travels along the same routes (1) with defined stopping points (3) along each of the routes (1). The parameters for operation of the vehicle (2) along the routes (1) are specified, on the basis of which the vehicle (2) can be braked, before the stopping points (3), and brought to rest at the stopping points (3).
System and method for detecting taillight signals of a vehicle
A system method for detecting taillight signals of a vehicle using a convolutional neural network is disclosed. A particular embodiment includes: receiving a plurality of images from one or more image-generating devices; generating a frame for each of the plurality of images; generating a ground truth, wherein the ground truth includes a labeled image with one of the following taillight status conditions for a right or left taillight signal of the vehicle: (1) an invisible right or left taillight signal, (2) a visible but not illuminated right or left taillight signal, and (3) a visible and illuminated right or left taillight signal; creating a first dataset including the labeled images corresponding to the plurality of images, the labeled images including one or more of the taillight status conditions of the right or left taillight signal; and creating a second dataset including at least one pair of portions of the plurality of images, wherein the at least one pair of portions of the plurality of the images are in temporal succession.
Land vehicle with technical hatch
A land vehicle includes a body, a technical compartment opening onto an outer wall of the body; and a closing device that closes the technical compartment. The closing device includes first and second flaps, which are rotatable relative to the body, and a central element, which is connected to the body between the flaps. In a closed configuration of the closing device, each of the flaps extends in a longitudinal direction with one end of each in contact with the central element, so that the flaps close the technical compartment. In an open configuration of the closing device, both of the flaps folded against the outer wall or against the central element, so as to provide access to the technical compartment.
SAFETY SYSTEM FOR AN ELECTROMECHANICAL COUPLING ASSEMBLY, CHARGING STATION FOR AN ELECTRIC VEHICLE PROVIDED WITH SUCH A SYSTEM AND ASSOCIATED COUPLING METHOD
A safety system for an electromechanical coupling assembly for being fitted to a charging station and an electric vehicle, a corresponding electromechanical coupling assembly and charging station, as well as a method for electromechanically coupling an electric vehicle to a charging station. The present safety system includes: a detectable element secured to a first connecting part of the coupling assembly; a sensor secured to a second connecting part, the sensor being configured to detect whether the detectable element is located in proximity; and a control unit driving a movement of the first connecting part from a folded position to a proximate position with a force, the amplitude of which is lower than a maximum amplitude F1 max, and controlling a movement of the first connecting part from the proximate position to a connecting position with a force, the amplitude of which is higher than the maximum amplitude F1 max.
CLOSED LOOP COOLING SYSTEM FOR A JUNCTION BOX IN A VEHICLE, AND RELATED COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS
A closed loop cooling system for a junction box in a vehicle includes a junction box housing and a storage compartment for a vehicle. A cool air duct interior volume of a cool air duct and a warm air duct interior volume of a warm air duct are each in fluidic communication with a housing interior volume of the junction box housing and a compartment interior volume of the storage compartment to form a closed loop cooling system. The cool air duct interior volume is sized to convey cool air from a cool air outlet of the storage compartment to a cool air inlet of the junction box housing, and the warm air duct interior volume is sized to convey warm air, which is warmer than the cool air, from a warm air outlet of the junction box housing to a warm air inlet of the storage compartment.
