LAND VEHICLE FOR PUBLIC TRANSPORT, SUCH AS A BUS, WITH IMPROVED BRIGHTNESS
A public transport land vehicle, in particular of the bus type, includes a passenger compartment intended to accommodate several people, and at least one technical compartment which can be accessed from the passenger compartment, at least one technical compartment, called upper compartment, is arranged on/in the upper wall of the passenger compartment.
ADAPTING A VEHICLE CONTROL STRATEGY BASED ON HISTORICAL DATA RELATED TO A GEOGRAPHICAL ZONE
A method and system are provided for adapting a vehicle control strategy of an on-road vehicle following a reoccurring fixed route to a predetermined destination, which fixed route extends through at least one geographical zone associated with at least one environmental restriction. When it is determined that the vehicle is approaching the geographical zone, historical data collected from previous passages of one or several vehicles through the zone is accessed, and the vehicle control strategy inside the geographical zone is adapted based on the historical data and the environmental restriction.
CIRCULATION SYSTEM OF RANGE-EXTENDED ELECTRIC BUS
A circulation system includes cooling fluid, 1.sup.st-6.sup.th flow paths and 1.sup.st-3.sup.rd flow path switching devices. The first flow path includes a compartment heat exchanger. The second flow path includes a liquid temperature adjustment device and a first pump. The third flow path includes an engine cooling circuit and a second pump. The fourth flow path includes an engine heat-dissipation device. The fifth flow path includes a motor cooling circuit and a third pump. The sixth flow path includes a motor heat-dissipation device. The first, second and third flow path switching devices are respectively connected to the 1.sup.st-4.sup.th, 4.sup.th-6.sup.th, and the fifth, the sixth, the first and the second flow paths. The 1.sup.st-3.sup.rd flow path switching devices control the connections of the 1.sup.st-6.sup.th flow paths and the circulation of the cooling fluid for operating in a plurality of operation modes.
Interlocking Strap Clamp
A clamp for holding a looped strap as required for a passenger assist strap on a railing in a public transit vehicle, comprising a first piece and a second piece with interlocking sides to hold the strap loop together and also prevent the first and second pieces from twisting out of alignment.
HYBRID VEHICLE DRIVE CYCLE OPTIMIZATION BASED ON ROUTE IDENTIFICATION
Systems and methods are disclosed for controlling vehicle operations in response to a route identification reference for a vehicle based on route characteristics associated with the route identified by the route identification reference.
BATTERY SYSTEM OF AN ELECTRIC VEHICLE
A method of operating an electric vehicle having a battery system with a first battery module and a second battery module includes sending a triggering signal. And, in response to the triggering signal, selectively dissipating energy from the first battery module without dissipating energy from the second battery module.
METHOD AND CONTROL UNIT FOR OPERATING A VEHICLE
A method of operating a vehicle (2) which recurrently travels along the same routes (1) with defined stopping points (3) along each of the routes (1). The parameters for operation of the vehicle (2) along the routes (1) are specified, on the basis of which the vehicle (2) can be braked, before the stopping points (3), and brought to rest at the stopping points (3).
Method and arrangement for controlling charging of an energy storage system
A method is provided for controlling charging of an energy storage system in a vehicle including an electric machine which is arranged for propulsion of the vehicle. The method includes initiating the charging upon connection of the energy storage system to an external power supply via connector elements; and transmitting, between the vehicle and the external power supply, a control signal including data related to the charging by a wireless transmission link. The method furthermore includes evaluating whether the control signal is received; and terminating the charging in the event that the control signal is not received. An arrangement for controlling charging of an energy storage system is also provided.
SHUT DOWN SYSTEM AND CONTROL METHOD OF FUEL CELL VEHICLE
A shut down system of a fuel cell vehicle includes: a fuel cell configured to output a high voltage; a rechargeable high voltage battery; a bidirectional converter arranged between an output terminal of the fuel cell and the high voltage battery; a first relay arranged between the fuel cell and the bidirectional converter; and a controller configured to control a voltage of the bidirectional converter when the fuel cell vehicle stalls to reduce a voltage of the output terminal of the fuel cell and turn off the first relay when a voltage value of the output terminal of the fuel cell is below a preset voltage reference value.
Multiple induction electric motor and vehicle
A novel multiple induction electric motor system that separately produces synchronized variable frequency alternating current control signals and using multiple induction electric motors, produces synchronized rotating magnetic fields responsive to the control signals, induces magnetic fields around a conductor in inductive rotors responsive to the rotating magnetic fields, and applies rotational forces between the rotating magnetic fields and the induced magnetic fields to a common shaft of the multiple motors. The common shaft sums the rotational forces and transmits the rotational forces to a drive wheel. Such a system can be implemented using two, three or more synchronized induction electric motors, and respective elements thereof, wherein the stator and rotor laminations can be arranged, stacked and/or otherwise configured such that the multiple induction electric motors operate at lower temperatures and at higher efficiencies.
