Milk sampling device
A milk sampling device includes a housing forming an inner space, an inlet opening to the inner space, a deflector member with an upper surface mounted in the inner space of the housing in a position vertically below the inlet opening, a flow passage formed between a periphery edge portion of the deflector member and an inner surface of the housing, and a milk sampling passage provided with an opening which constitutes a part of the flow passage. The upper surface of the deflector member comprises a plurality of a upwardly extending members arranged at a distance from each other in the vicinity of the periphery edge portion of the deflector member such that flow channels are formed between adjacent upwardly extending members.
MILK ANALYSER SYSTEM AND METHOD
A milk analyser system is provided for detecting the presence of a biomarker, the system comprising: a colorimetric sensor which is arranged to change colour in the presence of a biomarker to be detected; and an optically transparent container which contains the sensor, the container being openable in use to allow milk received by the system to pass over the sensor in order to provide an indication of the biomarker in the milk, any change in colour in the sensor being detectable by viewing the sensor through the container.
Distribution unit for milk samples comprising two separate parts
A distribution unit for milk samples that includes a first distribution portion with a first flow channel and a plurality of ports adjoining and communicating with the first flow channel, the ports configured to permit various media to be delivered to and from the first flow channel, and a second distribution portion that includes a second flow channel and a plurality of ports adjoining and communicating with the second flow channel, including at least a milk inlet port permitting milk to be delivered from the first flow channel to the second flow channel, and including a milk outlet port permitting milk samples to be delivered from the second flow channel to a further milk analyzing unit.
DETERMINATION OF HAPTOGLOBIN QUANTITY IN MILK
A milking arrangement includes a milking machine for milking an animal, where the milking arrangement includes an analysing unit configured to determining a value of haptoglobin quantity in a milk sample taken from milk harvest by the milking machine. The analysing unit including a haptoglobin sensor device configured to provide a value of haptoglobin quantity in the milk sample.
Sampling apparatus for taking representative milk sample and method for taking representative milk samples
In one aspect, the invention provides a sampling apparatus for taking a representative milk sample in a predetermined quantity range from a conveying line in which milk is conveyed at conveying intervals of unknown length. The sampling apparatus comprises a pump, a controller of the pump, and a sample container connecting element connecting member in communication with the pump, wherein the controller is configured based on the predetermined quantity range and a measured quantity indicating a flow rate of milk conveyed in the conveying line and/or a predetermined quantity indicating a total quantity of milk to be conveyed through the conveying line in a conveying interval, to control a pulsed operation of the pump in a conveying interval, wherein the pump conveys a discrete sample subset along a first conveying direction of the pump during the pulsed operation in each sample pulse interval, and wherein the predetermined quantity range is greater than or equal to a total quantity corresponding to a total number of discrete sample subsets in the conveying interval.
A DISTRIBUTION UNIT FOR MILK SAMPLES
A distribution unit for milk samples includes a flow passage, a valve controlled milk inlet port through which milk is delivered to the flow passage, a pump port through which a sampling pump communicates with the flow passage, and at least two valve controlled milk sampling outlet ports through which milk samples are delivered from the flow passage to a respective milk sample analyzing unit. The flow passage has a longitudinal extension between a first end and a second end, and the milk sampling outlet ports are connected to the flow passage in positions located between the connection position of the milk inlet port and the connection position of the pump port.
Flushing device for a milk sampler
A sampler including an inlet, an outlet and a flushing device. The sampler adapted such that a sample fluid flows from the inlet, out the outlet and into sample containers. The flushing device is adapted to flush a pressurised pressurized flushing fluid past all surfaces of the sampler which are adapted to contact the sample fluid.
METHOD AND MANAGING DAIRY ANIMALS, AND A MILKING SYSTEM FOR PERFORMING THE SAME
A method, and milking system, for managing a herd of dairy animals including N groups, wherein N2, and the method includes: A) determining a content of a substance in the milk for a group of dairy animals, and B) performing an animal-related operation for the group, based on the content of the determined substance.
A MILK SAMPLING DEVICE
DAIRY FARMING SYSTEM
A dairy farming system comprises at least one milking device for obtaining milk from dairy animals by means of a milking process, a control unit for controlling the at least one milking device, and a data input for automatically receiving data relating to milk which was obtained earlier and supplied to an external party. The data comprises at least one content of a substance in the milk and/or at least one physical or chemical property of the milk, and a quantity value of the milk, the milking device has at least one adjustable parameter relating to the milking process, the control unit automatically processes at least part of the received data to obtain at least one control parameter value, and the control unit automatically adjusts at least one of the at least one parameter of the milking device on the basis of the at least one control parameter value.
