MILK LINER
A milk liner of a milking apparatus has a resiliently deformable sleeve extending between a mouthpiece and an outlet pipe. The sleeve forms a cavity for receiving a teat of an animal to be milked. The sleeve incudes a first portion having a plurality of ribs, where the ribs extend longitudinally along and transversally outward from the first portion. The longitudinal extent of each rib terminates at a proximal end of the first portion. The transversal extent of each rib terminates in a flange for engaging with a shell. A second portion is located between a proximal end of the first portion and the outlet pipe. Both portions are configured to sequentially and progressively collapse inwards, where the progressive inward collapse is directed towards the distal end of the sleeve when a pressure difference is within a predetermined range, resulting in a peristaltic massage directed upward of the teat.

A CONNECTOR FOR A TEATCUP TO BE ATTACHED TO THE TEAT OF AN ANIMAL TO BE MILKED, AND A TEATCUP
A connector configured for receiving a cartridge for forming a teatcup where the cartridge includes an elongated sleeve and a barrel pre-mounted in the elongated sleeve and having an inner space for receiving a teat and the connector includes a lower base member and a shell extending from the lower base member and surrounding a receiving space for receiving the cartridge, the lower base member and the shell foringm one piece of a plastic material, and the shell being configured to extend along an axial length of the elongated sleeve at least to the upper end of the sleeve when the cartridge is received in the connector.
A CARTRIDGE CONFIGURED TO FORM A PART OF A TEATCUP, AND A TEATCUP
A teatcup, configured to be attached to the teat of an animal to be milked, and a cartridge for said teatcup, where the cartridge has an elongated sleeve with having an upper end section and a lower end section, and a barrel that is pre-mounted in the elongated sleeve (8) and forming an inner space for receiving the teat such that a pulsation chamber is formed between the elongated sleeve and the barrel, where the cartridge also has a head member at the upper end section with a lip surrounding an opening into the inner space, where the elongated sleeve has a flange extending outwardly at the upper end section, and the head member has a plurality of locking members each configured to grip the flange, each of the locking members extending towards the lower end section and beyond the flange.
MILKING APPARATUS
A milking apparatus is described that includes a longitudinally extending liner made from a resiliently deformable material. The liner is mounted on a rigid support shell. The liner comprises an outer hood configured to lie over an outer surface of the rigid support shell, and an inner barrel configured to be disposed within the rigid support shell and to define an internal volume. The inner barrel extends in the longitudinal direction away from an opening at a first end of the liner, through which opening an animal teat is insertable into the internal volume. The inner barrel is connected to the outer hood at a plurality of longitudinally extending connection regions on an inner surface of the outer hood. These connections define boundary conditions that limit the deformation of the barrel that encloses the teat can be set by the configuration of the liner itself.
Teat cup liner and vent
The invention relates to a teat cup liner and a vent suitable for said teat cup liner. The vent consists of a highly elastic material which can be elastically deformed, thereby allowing dirt to be removed.

Conduit and method of using the same
A conduit having a flexible tubular body having a first end connectable to a manifold or claw 14 and a free end connectable to a teatcup. Disposed partway along its length are disposed two integrally formed ribs capable of moving about an elbow joint. Each rib consists of two arms connected by an elbow joint about which the arms may move relative to one another. The arms of each rib are substantially planar and meet at a pivot point or elbow to form a substantially inverted V-shape when viewed along its the horizontal axis. The ribs encourage downward movement 5 in the vertical plane about its lateral axis at and away from the apex of each of the inverted V-shaped ribs whilst also resisting lateral movement or even upward movement.

MILKING SYSTEM
A milking system for milking a dairy animal includes a milking cup having a first milk outflow opening, a measuring chamber having a milk inlet which is in flow communication with the first milk outflow opening, with a second milk outflow opening to a milk hose, and with a vacuum connection, and a level sensor for measuring a milk level in the measuring chamber. The milking system further includes a controllable valve having an adjustable passage opening, which is provided in or downstream of the second milk outflow opening, and a control unit which is operatively connected to the level sensor and the valve, and which control unit is configured to adjust the passage opening of the valve on the basis of the measured milk level.
