A driver assistance apparatus includes a first radar sensor having a view of a left rear side outside the vehicle and a second radar sensor having a view of a right rear side outside the vehicle. The first radar sensor is configured to output first detecting data and the second radar sensor is configured to output second detecting data. A controller is configured to process the first and second detecting data, to generate a plurality of detection points based on the processing, to generate a first track and a second track based on the plurality of detection points, to identify a track that is normally detected and a track that is erroneously detected among the first track and the second track, and to warn of a collision in a direction located on the normally detected track.

Disclosed is a surround view monitoring system for a vehicle, including a plurality of cameras included in the vehicle and configured to capture images of a region around the vehicle, an image synthesizer configured to form a synthesized image for monitoring the region around the vehicle by synthesizing the images captured by the plurality of cameras, a driving recognizer configured to recognize driving-state information of the vehicle, and a display controller configured to control a display device to selectively display a portion or an entirety of the synthesized image formed by the image synthesizer based on the driving-state information of the vehicle, recognized by the driving recognizer.

Provided is a smart mobility link system which provides a travel path through a vehicle terminal installed in a vehicle up to a location at which parking is allowed, and mobility is relayed to a vehicle-carried moving object terminal which is installed in a vehicle-carried moving object over a remaining distance so that the travel path can be continuously provided. Accordingly, a user can be guided through a travel path even in an area in which vehicle travel is not possible without additional manipulation of the user.

A parking assistance system for a motor vehicle includes a user interface for interaction with the user and a control unit. The control unit is configured to display various types of maneuver which can be selected on the user side in a maneuver type display. In addition, the control unit is configured to display a set of available maneuver targets only for the selected maneuver type, which targets can be selected by the user via the user interface, on a maneuver target display of the user interface. The system then receives a selection of a maneuver target from the set of available maneuver targets for the selected maneuver type. The selected maneuver target is then parked with at least automated lateral guidance for the selected maneuver type.

A system for assisting in aligning a vehicle for hitching with a trailer includes a vehicle steering system, a detection system outputting a signal including scene data of an area to a rear of the vehicle, and a controller that controls the vehicle steering system to maneuver the vehicle according to an initial alignment maneuver that positions the vehicle relative to the trailer, such that the trailer is within the area to the rear of the vehicle. The controller further receives the scene data and identifies the trailer within the area to the rear of the vehicle, derives a backing path to align a hitch ball mounted on the vehicle to a coupler of the trailer, and controls the vehicle steering system to maneuver the vehicle including reversing along the backing path.

A vehicle system includes, a sensing device configured to detect vehicle status information including gear-stage information and steering information of a steering wheel, and a control device configured to determine a target parking spot among parking spots included in a parking lot based on the gear-stage information and the steering information when the vehicle maintains a stopped state for more than a predetermined period in the parking lot, and to execute an autonomous parking function for parking at the target parking spot.

A vehicle parking assist apparatus acquires a camera image when the vehicle stops by a non-determined parking lot and acquires feature points of a ground of an entrance of the non-determined parking lot as non-compared entrance feature points from the camera image. The vehicle parking assist apparatus determines whether the non-determined parking lot is a registered parking lot by comparing information on the non-compared entrance feature points with registered entrance feature point information. The vehicle parking assist apparatus executes a parking assist control with using the currently-acquired parking lot information and the registered parking lot information when the vehicle parking assist apparatus determines that the non-determined parking lot is the registered parking lot.

A parking operation of a vehicle from a starting position to a parked position in a perpendicular parking space includes determining a trajectory into the parked position with at least one parking movement and potentially one or more corrective movements which includes a change of direction. A blocking line is defined running in a straight line and longitudinally through the vehicle when positioned in the starting position. If the trajectory provides for one or more corrective movements, then it is determined whether the blocking line will be cleared by the vehicle during a nonfinal parking movement or a nonfinal corrective movement. If the blocking line will be cleared then a signal is output for interrupting the trajectory. The interruption can include an alert and/or a determination of a corrected trajectory in such a way that clearing the blocking line by the vehicle during the nonfinal parking movement is prevented.
