VEHICULAR AUTOMATED PARKING SYSTEM
A vehicular automated parking system includes a plurality of cameras viewing exterior of the vehicle. While the vehicle is traveling along the road, the vehicular automated parking system operates in a parking space locating mode to determine available parking spaces at least in part via processing, at an electronic control unit having an image processor, of image data captured by at least one camera of the plurality of cameras. The vehicular automated parking system fuses the determined available parking spaces with map data to generate an annotated map for display at the video display screen for viewing by the driver of the vehicle to assist the driver in selecting a parking space from the determined available parking spaces. After selection of the parking space, the vehicular automated parking system parks the equipped vehicle in the selected parking space.
Vehicle guidance system
A system and method for guiding an articulated vehicle having at least a first section and a second section includes one or more sensors positioned separately from the vehicle and adapted to detect the positions of and the angle between the first and second sections. The system also may include one or more position sensors located on the vehicle. A computing system that may be on the vehicle or positioned separately from the vehicle receives the position data and includes a pose-determining algorithm for determining the position and orientation of the vehicle and a guidance-determining algorithm for determining guidance commands to guide the vehicle to a target position. A communications device communicates the guidance commands or sensed position and/or angle information to the vehicle.
Parking assistance device
A parking assist device according to the present invention includes a backward-direction-path calculation unit that calculates a backward-direction path for taking an own vehicle out from a target parking position B based on constraint conditions of a parking space and an own-vehicle behavior, a connection-candidate-position storage unit that sets a plurality of connection candidate positions D on the backward-direction path, a forward-direction-path calculation unit that calculates a forward-direction path leadable to one of the connection candidate positions D from a current position A of the own vehicle, and a parking-path setting unit that sets a parking path by combining the backward-direction path and the forward-direction path.
Information processing device and recording medium recording vehicle parking support program
An information processing device includes a memory and a processor coupled to the memory. The processor acquires a first image at a first time and a second image at a second time later than the first time from a monocular camera mounted on a vehicle, calculates an amount of movement of the vehicle based on a sensor value acquired during a measurement period between the first time and the second time, outputs a result of distance measurement using a first distance measurement method to perform distance measurement using the first image or the second image or a second distance measurement method to perform distance measurement using the first image and the second image, depending on the amount of movement and outputs a result of calculation of a route to guide the vehicle to a parking space, based on the result of distance measurement.
Parking assistance device
Unfortunately, even when a new area, which cannot be recognized from the parking start position, is detected in the surrounding area as the vehicle travels on the parking route, the new area cannot be used effectively as the parking route. In step S304, when there is an area for extending the parking route in the newly detected area, the route is determined to be extensible. In step S305, it is determined whether the vehicle can be parked with one turnabout without extending the route, and when it is determined that the vehicle cannot be parked with one turnabout, the process proceeds to step S307 to perform the route extension process. When the posture of the vehicle at the turning point does not exceed a predetermined value in step S306, the process also proceeds to step S307. In step S307, route information for extending the parking route from the turning point in the route information toward the newly detected available area is generated based on the route information output in step S302, the surrounding area information and the own-vehicle position information output in step S303.
Parking assistance apparatus
A parking assistance apparatus capable of making a parking route shorter when providing parking assistance for parallel parking is obtained. The parking assistance apparatus according to the present invention is a parking assistance apparatus for assisting the parallel parking of a driver's own vehicle 21 and has a configuration that: calculates an escapable position where the driver's own vehicle 21 can be made to escape from a parking area Sp; calculates a parking-space leaving route E where the driver's own vehicle 21 can be moved from the escapable position to an initial position P0 in a passage area Sr; and sets a parking route based on the parking-space leaving route E. The parking-space leaving route E is calculated by using a first turning circle C1 when turning from the escapable position P2 to a passage side, a second turning circle C2 when turning in a direction of a target parking position P1 at the initial position P0 of the driver's own vehicle 21, and a third turning circle which is a locus of a turning center when the driver's own vehicle 21 has moved along the first turning circle C1 and turns in a direction different from the first turning circle C1.
Vehicle control device and vehicle control method
A vehicle control device includes a parking space candidate detection unit configured to detect a parking space candidate that is a candidate for a parking space where an own vehicle is parked, using a vehicle peripheral image acquired from a camera; a leaving path detection unit configured to detect, using the vehicle peripheral image, a leaving path on which another vehicle that is parked in an other vehicle parking space located in a periphery of the parking space candidate leaves the other vehicle parking space; and a nuisance parking determination unit configured to perform nuisance parking determination including determining, for each detected parking space candidate, whether the parking space candidate overlaps with the detected leaving path, and thereby classifying the parking space candidate into a nuisance parking space that overlaps with the leaving path or a non-nuisance parking space that avoids overlapping with the leaving path.
Automatic parking system and automatic parking method
An automatic parking system includes a sensor detecting parking areas depending on a size of a subject vehicle and a controller controlling the subject vehicle to be parked in an optimal parking area among the parking areas, in which the sensor may detect the parking areas in consideration of a length and a width of the subject vehicle and detect a spaced distance from surrounding vehicles positioned on a side of the subject vehicle in the optimal parking area and the controller may calculate a moving path between a current position of the subject vehicle and the optimal parking area and compare a predetermined reference distance and the spaced distances to control the subject vehicle.
TRAILER BACKUP ASSIST SYSTEMS AND METHODS
The systems and methods disclosed herein are configured to determine if a trailer backup assist system is needed to assist a driver with a procedure to backup a trailer that is connected to a vehicle. The estimation of need for assistance may be determined by an assistance model. If assistance is needed, the systems and methods provide an input to initiate a process to enable the trailer backup assist system.
