Vehicle body

A vehicle body for contributing to weight reduction of a structure of a front part while preventing a front bumper beam from falling off is provided. A vehicle body includes: pairs of left and right support bodies, being disposed on the left and the right with an accommodation space of a power unit interposed therebetween, extending in a vehicle body forward-rearward direction, and having joint surfaces displaced rearward as the joint surfaces going outward in a vehicle width direction while facing the front; a front bumper beam, extending in a vehicle body lateral direction across the front of the accommodation space and being joined to the joint surfaces at both ends thereof; and engagement members, extending forward from inner sides of the joint surfaces in the vehicle width direction and engaging with the front bumper beam in the forward-rearward direction at least at a time of a collision.

Frame Component for a Front End Module

A frame component for a front end module of a vehicle is provided. The frame component has a blocking element mounted thereto which serves load transfer to a crossmember of the vehicle in the event of a crash.

FRONT VEHICLE BODY REINFORCING STRUCTURE

A front vehicle body reinforcing structure may include a dash panel, a front side member extending along a length direction of a vehicle for coupling to a lower part of the dash panel, a fender apron member extending along the length direction of the vehicle and coupled to an upper part of the dash panel, a front shock absorber housing having a lower part coupled to the front side member and an upper part coupled to the fender apron member, a cowl cross member extending along a width direction of the vehicle for coupling to the upper part of the dash panel and having both ends overlapping and coupled to the front shock absorber housing along the width direction, and a front shock absorber housing side member adhered to an inner surface of the front shock absorber housing, and having an upper part coupled to the cowl cross member.

AIR TANK INTEGRATED FRONT BOX STRUCTURE

Embodiments herein relate to a front box structure for use on an at least partially electrically powered vehicle. The front box utilizes a first pair of air tank mounting brackets and a second pair of air tank mounting brackets as part of a middle structural layer. Each pair of air tank mounting brackets supports an air tank, as well as other structural components of the front box assembly. The middle structural may also include a first brace and a second brace extending between and coupled to the first and second pairs of air tank mounting brackets. The first pair of air tank mounting brackets are adapted to be coupled to a first air tank, and the second pair of air tank mounting brackets are adapted to be coupled to a second air tank that form a part of the middle structural layer.

Vehicle front end assembly

A vehicle frame structure has a front side member that extends forward from a dashwall. An engine cradle is attached to the front side member with a lateral side portion of the engine cradle being located beneath and spaced apart from a lower surface of the front side member. An engine installed to the engine cradle with a portion of the engine extending upward from the engine cradle adjacent to an inboard surface of the front side member, A push-off structure is attached to an outboard surface of the front side member adjacent to a front end surface of the front side member. A portion of the push-off structure extends outboard from the outboard surface. Another portion of the push-off structure extends downward below the lower surface of the front side member toward the lateral portion of the engine cradle and the engine.

Vehicle front end assembly

A vehicle frame structure has a front side member that extends forward from a dashwall. An engine cradle is attached to the front side member with a lateral side portion of the engine cradle being located beneath and spaced apart from a lower surface of the front side member. An engine is installed to the engine cradle with a portion of the engine extending upward from the engine cradle adjacent to the inboard surface of the front side member. An inboard push structure has an inboard surface, an upper portion and a lower portion. The upper portion is attached to an inboard surface of the front side member. The lower portion extends downward below a lower surface of the front side member. The inboard surface faces the engine proximate the lateral portion of the lateral side portion of the engine cradle.

An embodiment structure for a vehicle includes a front-end module carrier, a front side member, a fender apron assembly disposed on an upper portion of the front side member, and connecting members connecting the front-end module carrier and the fender apron assembly. Another embodiment structure for a vehicle includes a front side member, a front-end module carrier, a fender apron assembly disposed on an upper portion of the front side member, the fender apron assembly including a shock absorber housing coupled to the upper portion of the front side member, and connecting members connecting the front-end module carrier and the fender apron assembly, the connecting members including a lower connecting member extending from the front-end module carrier and connecting the shock absorber housing and the front side member.
