A side structural member extends in a vehicle longitudinal direction. An offset deforming fender attachment bracket mounts the front fender structure to the side structural member. The offset deforming fender attachment bracket includes a fender attachment portion connected to the connecting wall portion of the front fender structure at a connecting location. A support leg is connected to the side structural member. The support leg extends toward the side structural member from a lateral edge of the fender attachment portion. The support leg includes an apex portion connected to the lateral edge of the fender attachment portion that is spaced outboard from the connecting location in a vehicle lateral direction.

Each of the plurality of fender flares is positionable in a deployed position to protect the vehicle from dirt and debris kicked up by tires of the vehicle and each of the plurality of fender flares is positionable in a retracted position. A plurality of actuators is attached to a respective one of the mounting tracks for urging the respective fender flare into the deployed position and the retracted position. A control panel is mounted within a cab of the vehicle to facilitate a driver of the vehicle to control the actuators for moving the fender flares between the deployed position and the retracted position.

Outer panel structure

An outer panel structure includes a front fender panel, which is an outer panel, and a charging receiver module or fuel receiver module. The front fender panel is provided at a side part of a vehicle, and includes a frame part formed therein by having a part thereof perforated in a thickness direction. The charging receiver module or fuel receiver module is inserted and fixed in the frame part. The charging receiver module or fuel receiver module includes a lid that can be opened and closed. The outer panel structure further includes a reinforcement bracket mounted to the front fender panel at a part located below an opening/closing hinge axis of the lid in terms of a vehicle height direction.

A mechanism for securing a vehicle protection system to an axle of a vehicle is provided. The mechanism may include a plurality of studs that are configured to secure the vehicle protection system and the backing plate of a brake assembly to an axle flange of a vehicle's axle. Each stud may include an outer end separated from an inner end by a spacer. The outer end may also include an expanded section adjacent the spacer that can be positioned within bolt holes of the axle flange. The expanded section may include knurls for forming a press fit within the bolt holes.

Vehicle tire guard device

Systems, methods, and other embodiments described herein relate to a vehicle tire guard that retracts in response to a force. In one embodiment, the vehicle tire guard device includes a tire guard extending downward from a vehicle frame and a retraction system attached to the vehicle frame. The retraction system includes a spring-loaded wheel with circumferential interface elements to engage with and retract the tire guard responsive to a vertical force applied to the tire guard, a curved cam affixed to a planar surface of the spring-loaded wheel, and a spring-loaded rod biased against the planar surface. The spring-loaded rod and cam interact to prevent rotation of the spring-loaded wheel to retract the tire guard until the vertical force exceeds a threshold.

The trim molding is installed to the fender and the fender baffle along the alignment ramp. The alignment ramp enables the trim molding to rotate towards the fender during installation to enclose a gap between the fender and the fender baffle.
