A vehicle cabin front portion structure has a steering column of a vehicle, an instrument panel in which a face blowout port is formed further toward a vehicle transverse direction outer side than the steering column, an air conditioner main body that is provided within the instrument panel, further toward a vehicle transverse direction central side than the steering column, a knee airbag device that is disposed at a vehicle lower side of the steering column, and that inflates and deploys a knee airbag toward a vehicle lower side of the instrument panel, and a face duct that extends from the air conditioner main body to the face blowout port via a route that passes a vehicle rear side of the knee airbag device.

Vehicle bulkhead structure

A vehicle bulkhead structure may include a dash panel; a pair of front side members spaced apart from each other and coupled to the dash panel; and a plurality of reinforcement members coupled to a front surface of the dash panel, wherein some of the plurality of reinforcement members support each front side member.

Vehicle structural systems for sorb impact events

A structural small overlap rigid barrier (SORB) joining bracket for a vehicle having an underbody hold-down assembly, a cowl side assembly, and a body mount assembly configured to connect a vehicle body to a vehicle frame includes a cowl side coupling first portion configured to couple to the cowl side assembly, and an underbody coupling second portion configured to couple to the underbody hold-down assembly and the body mount assembly. The SORB joining bracket couples and maintains structural integrity between the underbody hold-down assembly and the cowl side assembly, and couples with the body mount assembly to increase vehicle load capacity by providing a direct load path into the frame of the vehicle. A frame extension tube assembly creates additional strength and stiffness via stack-up with the SORB joining bracket.

Kick down area enabler

A vehicle rail assembly has an extending longitudinal rail with a kick down area. A kick down area enabler is positioned in the rail at the kick down area. The kick down area enabler includes a foot rest portion, an outer part portion and a kick down portion all contacting the rail. The outer part portion and kick down portion part are cantilevered from the foot rest portion via welding. The kick down area enabler provides additional energy absorption for the rail to prevent intrusion into a passenger compartment.

FRONT VEHICLE-BODY STRUCTURE OF VEHICLE

A front vehicle-body structure for appropriately dispersing a collision load includes a floor panel; a side sill; a floor frame extending in a front-rear direction on a vehicle-width-direction inner side of the side sill; and a first cross member connecting the side sill and the floor frame to each other in the vehicle width direction. The side sill has a raised wall and an upper wall portion positioned on the vehicle-width-direction inner side in a cross-section orthogonally intersecting with the front-rear direction and extending in an up-down direction, a corner extending in the front-rear direction is formed between the raised wall and the upper wall portion, and a first joint member and a corner reinforcement member that reinforce the raised wall and the corner are provided at a position to which the first cross member is connected in the front-rear direction on an inner side of the side sill.

FRONT VEHICLE-BODY STRUCTURE OF VEHICLE

A front vehicle-body structure includes a floor panel; a side sill; a floor frame extending in a front-rear direction on a vehicle-width-direction inner side of the side sill; a first cross member connecting a front portion of the side sill to the floor frame in a vehicle width direction; and a second cross member connecting the side sill and floor frame in the vehicle width direction on a rear side of the first cross member. The floor panel has a quadrilateral closed region surrounded by the side sill, the floor frame, and the cross members, on a periphery of the closed region, and the closed region has a bead linearly extending in a direction intersecting with a virtual line connecting front and rear portions on vehicle-width-direction outer and inner sides, respectively, of the closed region to each other at an angle of 45 degrees or more in plan view.

FRONT VEHICLE-BODY STRUCTURE OF VEHICLE

A front vehicle-body structure includes a front wheel including a wheel; and a side sill that extends in a front-rear direction on a rear side of the front wheel and has side sill inner and outer portions positioned on vehicle-width-direction inner and outer sides, respectively. Vehicle-width-direction end portions of the inner and outer portions are joined at a joined portion formed by the vehicle-width-direction end portions abutting against each other. The inner portion has a higher buckling strength in the front-rear direction than the outer portion. The joined portion has a second joined portion extending inclined to the vehicle-width-direction outer side toward a rear side, and a first joined portion bent from the second joined portion, extending to a front side, and positioned on a front-end portion of the side sill closer to the vehicle-width-direction inner side than a center line of the wheel in the vehicle width direction.

A vehicle floor structure includes a floor tunnel arranged in a center of a vehicle interior in a vehicle width direction from a front end of the vehicle interior to a rear side, the floor tunnel projecting upwardly from a floor surface of the vehicle interior, a tunnel reinforcement that is a reinforcing member covering the floor tunnel, the tunnel reinforcement projecting upwardly from the floor surface of the vehicle interior and extending in a vehicle length direction, and a first floor crossmember extending in the vehicle width direction on the floor surface of the vehicle interior. An opening is formed in each of a pair of side walls of the tunnel reinforcement, the side walls facing each other in the vehicle width direction and the first floor crossmember is arranged so as to go across an inside of the tunnel reinforcement through the openings.

Vehicle torque box assembly

An assembly includes an inner rail and a rocker rail outboard of the inner rail. The assembly includes a torque box having a first panel fixed to the inner rail and the rocker rail, a second panel fixed to the inner rail and the rocker rail, and a third panel fixed to the inner rail and the rocker rail.

The vehicle structure includes a vehicle frame and a stop structure. The vehicle frame has a first side member and a second side member. The first and second side members have respective front ends with each of the first side member and the second side member extending rearward from the front ends in a vehicle longitudinal direction. The stop structure is installed to the first side member at a location rearward of a front suspension structure. The stop structure extends in an outboard direction from the first side member. The stop structure has a top surface, a bottom surface, a forward-facing surface, and a rear surface. The bottom surface has a concaved area that extends from the forward-facing surface to the rear surface. The concaved area is dimensioned to receive a conduit such that the conduit is received and at least partially concealed within the concaved area.
