A semi-trailer for use in hauling grain has four sides and two sloped cargo areas, each having a hopper funnel made of a continuous, unitary polymer material. A door below each hopper is driven by a linear actuator that is disposed above the level of the door. The trailer sidewalls are made of a composite material having inner and outer panels attached to a center panel by adhesive.

A recreational vehicle body includes a plurality of layers stacked and bonded together, the plurality of layers including a first gelcoat layer defining an exterior surface of the recreational vehicle body; and a first aluminized-FRP layer disposed on an interior side of the first gelcoat layer. The first aluminized-FRP layer includes a first aluminized-fiberglass-fabric.

A laminate panel for a vehicle includes: a core member formed from a core material including a fiber and a binder, the core member having: (i) a perimeter separating opposing upper and lower surfaces of the core member; (ii) a channel defined in the core material between an upper channel outlet at the upper surface, and a lower channel outlet; an upper reinforcing skin member affixed to the upper surface of the core member and defining an opening in communication with the upper channel outlet; a flexible solar module affixed to the upper reinforcing skin member; a lower reinforcing skin member affixed to the lower surface of the core member; and an electrical conduit extending from the flexible solar module to the lower channel outlet via the opening, the upper channel outlet and the channel.

The present disclosure relates to laminate composite panels comprising a first layer of fiberglass reinforced polyester (FRP) and a second layer of a polyurethane material. The polyurethane layer can comprise a reaction product between an aromatic polyester polyether polyol and a diisocyanate. The polyurethane is cured-in-place on a surface of the FRP, thus creating a laminate composite material wherein the layers are adhered together without application of a separate adhesive layer. The panels exhibit improved water resistance and strength properties. The laminate composite can be adhered to a second material such as wood, polystyrene, polyurethane, or non-wovens. Such panels are particularly suitable for use in recreational vehicles, motor homes, trailers, and as building materials. Methods of making such laminate composite materials are also provided.
