METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ATTACHING CROSSMEMBERS TO A PAIR OF FLANGED BEAMS
A pair of elongate attachment members, or Z-rails for attaching an end of a trailer crossmember to a flanged beam each include a first end section, an L-shaped portion comprising a horizontal leg and a vertical leg extending from the first end section, and a second end section extending from the vertical leg. The horizontal leg has a bottom surface with a width equal to the distance between the web of the flanged beam and the end of the flange. The vertical leg has an outer surface with a width equal to the width of the end of the flange. The Z-rails are attached to opposite ends of the crossmember to form a subassembly. The subassembly is fixed to and between the flanged beams by welding the first end sections to the web of the corresponding beam, with the horizontal leg on the flange, without directly heating the flange, thereby not diminishing the toughness of the flange.
Incinerator transport trailer and system
An incinerator transport trailer has a chassis and an incinerator receiving and supporting cradle pivotally attached to the chassis for movement relative to the chassis between a travel position in which the cradle is positioned parallel to and extends along the chassis and a raised position in which the cradle extends generally perpendicular to the chassis. A first incinerator engagement is attached to the cradle toward a first end of the cradle for back-and-forth movement along a direction extending generally between the first and second ends of the cradle. A second incinerator engagement is attached to the cradle toward a second end of the cradle. The first incinerator engagement is movable to increase or decrease a distance between the first incinerator engagement and the second incinerator engagement to removably secure an incinerator to the cradle.
Trailer assembly
A flatbed, step-deck, double-drop deck, or lowboy trailer assembly comprises a plurality of metal crossmembers extending in a transverse direction of the trailer assembly; a metal deck supported by the plurality of crossmembers, the metal deck having an upper deck surface and a lower deck surface; and a pair of parallel wooden boards extending in a longitudinal direction of the trailer assembly proximate respective laterally opposite sides of the trailer assembly. Each wooden board in the pair of wooden boards is located in a respective recessed portion of the metal deck. The lower deck surface is situated between and separates a lower surface of each wooden board from the plurality of metal cross members. The lower deck surface is welded to the plurality of crossmembers.
Shipping system and method for rolling tarp systems
A shipping system for a rolling tarp system has a trailer bed and first and second guide tracks attached to the trailer bed. The trailer bed has a towing element that defines front, sides, and rear portions. The first and second guide tracks are transverse to the trailer sides and configured to support the rolling tarp system. The rolling tarp system is loaded on and unloaded off the first and second guide tracks along the side of the trailer bed.
Electric drive fracturing power supply semi-trailer
The present invention discloses an electric drive fracturing power supply semi-trailer, which can separately drive multiple high voltage inversion units and multiple low voltage inversion unit, through a common DC bus, by employing a high voltage switch, a transformer and two sets of rectifying units. The electric drive fracturing power supply semi-trailer is small in size, compact in layout and economical. The high voltage switch, the transformer, and the rectifying units are shared to decrease the wirings of power supply lines, thus reducing the number of equipment and capital investment, and better meeting the usage requirements.
PLATFORM TRAILER WITH REINFORCED NECK
A platform trailer includes a neck reinforcement structure located in the neck region to provide for a reduced height in the neck region of the trailer to increase the cargo-carrying capacity of the trailer. The height in the neck region of the trailer is less than 30% of the height in the rest of the trailer. A fifth wheel plate includes a main portion secured to both the first and second beams of the trailer. The fifth wheel plate includes a bifurcated tail portion including a first tail portion connected to the first beam and a second tail portion connected to the second beam. A kingpin is connected to the fifth wheel plate and is adapted to be engaged by an associated tractor fifth wheel.
Suspension support for cargo carrying vehicle
A cargo carrying vehicle (10) includes a load support deck (44) comprised of a plurality of laterally adjacent deck pieces (46). Each deck piece includes in transverse cross section a plurality of elongated cavities (56) in which respective support members (100) may be selectively longitudinally positioned. A frame (128) includes a support and mounting arrangement for one or more suspension subframes (142) that each include a wheel supporting axle (144). Brace plates (168, 170, 172) operatively connect with frame rails (130, 132) and lateral support ribs (140) to reinforce the frame structure and attach the suspension subframe.
Bogie for a lowboy trailer
A bogie for a lowboy trailer includes a rear suspension support assembly configured to carry a suspension system of the lowboy trailer thereunder and a front transition assembly coupled to a front end of the rear suspension support assembly and configured to couple the rear suspension support assembly to a lower deck of the lowboy trailer. At least a portion of the rear suspension support assembly has a closed cross section when viewed along a longitudinal axis of the rear suspension support assembly. At least a portion of the front transition assembly has a closed cross section when viewed along a longitudinal axis of the front transition assembly.
TRAILER
The disclosure relates to a trailer for hauling tyres. The trailer includes a frame having a front end, a rear end and a pair of parallel elongate chassis rails. The trailer also includes one or more pairs of transverse rails, each pair of transverse rails being adapted to support one or more tyres in an upstanding position thereon. Each pair of transverse rails is longitudinally translatable with respect to the elongate chassis rails between the front and rear ends of the frame. Each transverse rail in the pair is independently longitudinally translatable with respect to the elongate chassis rails so that the spacing of the pair of transverse rails may be varied to suit a tyre diameter. The trailer is also provided with a tyre stillage associated with each pair of transverse rails for supporting one or more upstanding tyres thereagainst.
Forward facing vehicle transport apparatus
A forward facing vehicle transport apparatus (FFVTA) is provided. The FFVTA includes at least a main support member supported by an axle, and the axle in turn is supported by a wheel. The FFVTA further provides a toe tongue that is secured to the main support member and extends in a first direction from the main support. The toe tongue provides a telescopic extension member communicating with an extension mechanism, the telescopic extension member is configured to interact with a steer axle of a first vehicle, the steer axle supported by a tire of the first vehicle. The FFVTA further includes a pull tongue secured to the main support member and extending in a second direction from then main support. The pull tongue provides a sliding extension member that communicates with an expansion mechanism. The sliding extension member is configured to interact with a fifth wheel of a second vehicle.
