Hull for a watercraft
A hull for a watercraft and a watercraft disclosed, the hull including a hull body having a first recess surface defining a first recess, and a second recess surface defining a second recess; a first hull panel disposed in the first recess, a front portion of the first hull panel being movable between a first and second position; a second hull panel disposed in the second recess, a front portion of the second hull panel being movable between a third and fourth position; a first biasing member biasing the front portion of the first hull panel toward the first position; a second biasing member biasing the front portion of the second hull panel toward the third position; a first stopper for the first hull panel; a second stopper for the second hull panel; and a stabilizing bar for transferring motion between the first hull panel and the second hull panel.
Inflatable Boat with Motor Mount
An inflatable boat with a motor mount for use in low water conditions. The inflatable boat with the motor mount has a U-shaped hull in plan view, which is formed by open outline of inflatable boards and nose, as well as a transom installed on the boat stern and an inflatable bottom attached to the hull from below, and which bottom has an axissymmetric groove laying longitudinally from the stern end. The groove is V-shaped in cross-section. The depth of the groove is reduced uniformly in direction to the bottom nose. The inflatable boat according to the present invention allows expansion of usage specifications of the inflatable boats with motor mount, provides an additional guard for the outboard motors installed on them against possible mechanical damages and lowers fuel consumption in comparison with the boats of similar design.
Personal watercraft
A personal watercraft comprises a body including a deck and a hull, the hull includes a bottom surface facing downward and side surfaces facing outward in a rightward and leftward direction, the bottom surface has a shape in which a width in the rightward and leftward direction is reduced from its center portion in a forward and rearward direction to its rear portion, in a center portion of the hull in a forward and rearward direction, each of the side surfaces includes an upper side surface and a lower side surface, the lower side surface and the bottom surface are connected to each other to form an obtuse angle in a cross-section viewed from a rear, and an inclination angle formed between the lower side surface and a vertical line is set to be greater than an inclination angle formed between the upper side surface and the vertical line.
High stability low drag boat hull keel having inverted foil configuration
A modified V-hull boat has a keel having a horizontal cross-sectional profile of an inverted foil. The leading edge of the keel is a sharp point and the front region of the keel tapers outward along the length of the keel until it reaches its widest point. The widest point is aligned with the center of gravity of the hull. The trailing edge is a rounded blunt edge. The aft region of the keel is substantially shorter in length than the front region of the keel.
SHIP HULL MICROBUBBLE SYSTEM
A ship hull microbubble system is adapted to reduce drag on a ship hull traveling through water. The ship hull microbubble system includes a ballast pump, mechanically coupled to a ballast main pipe which is further connected to a forward peak tank with a forward peak tank valve. A venturi injector is joined to the ballast main pipe with a riser pipe. A discharge pipe is joined to the venturi injector and further piercing the ship hull. An air water mixture is formed when water pulled into the ballast pump receives air from the venturi injector. Discharging the air water mixture through the discharge pipe creates a plurality of microbubbles against the ship hull that reduces the drag on the ship hull when travelling through water.
Low-resistance boat hull
A hull configuration has a bow and a stern, and is for use in a single or multiple hull vessel. The hull configuration comprises: a pair of cutting edges, each cutting edge sloping rearwardly, downwardly and in an outwardly lateral direction, from the bow; a pair of keels, each keel extending longitudinally rearwardly and laterally inwardly from an end of a respective one of the cutting edges and converging at the stern; a pair of sidewalls, each sidewall extending generally upwardly from a respective one of the cutting edges and from a respective one of the keels, the sidewalls extending rearwardly to the stern; and a bottom channel defined between the cutting edges and between the keels. The channel comprises a forward portion having a concave upper surface and rearward portion having a planar upper surface. The channel decreases in width from ends of the cutting edges towards the stern.
A WATERCRAFT USING NARROWING CONCAVE CHANNELS
The invention is a watercraft with at least one hull which creates hydrodynamic lift by using narrowing concave channels (1) on the underside of the said at least one hull where propulsion (3) is placed such that the said propulsion draws water through the said narrowing concave channels (1).
Hybrid chine boat hull and methods of manufacture and use
This disclosure describes hybrid chine hulls, marine vessels including hybrid chine hulls and methods of manufacturing and using hybrid chine hulls. An exemplary hybrid chine hull includes a keel, a single chine section, and a double chine section distinct from the single chine section with respect to a longitudinal direction of the keel and positioned aft of the single chine section.
Ventilated boat keel
A boat hull having a ventilated boat keel is disclosed. In one embodiment, the ventilated boat keel may be a longitudinal vent tube from bow to stern, which runs down the center of the hull and branches off into multiple vent openings along the stepped hull. In another embodiment, the ventilated boat keel may be a longitudinal vent tube from bow to stern, which runs down the center of the hull and branches off into multiple vent openings along a traditional hull design. The ventilated boat keel creates a layer of micro-bubbles along the bottom of the boat. The micro-bubbles reduce friction and drag and allow for the boat to travel at a higher rate of speed using less fuel.
Vessel for transporting and installing a floating platform and method for transporting and installing a floating platform using said vessel
The invention allows setting up floating platforms comprising an elongated central body (1) from the lower portion of which legs (2) come out intended to fix the platform to anchoring elements arranged in the sea bed (5). The vessel comprises: a) a longitudinal through groove (4) up to the vessel bottom, and leaving part of the vessel bow (5) open; and b) a plurality of slots (6, 7) placed at the bottom of the vessel, wherein the groove (4) and the slots (6, 7) are configured both in dimension and in shape in such a way that they fit in at least some of the legs (2), so that the legs (2) can be inserted, at least partially, in the slots (6, 7) to attach the platform to the vessel.
