Passenger seating arrangement having access for disabled passengers

A passenger seating arrangement for use in an aircraft cabin, the passenger seating arrangement comprising a column of seat units arranged in an inwardly facing herringbone. Each seat unit is configurable between a seating configuration and a flat-bed configuration. Each seat unit has an access opening for accessing the respective seat unit. At least one of the seat units is configurable into a disabled-access configuration in which an access opening is temporarily widened by moving part of a foot-receiving structure, for enabling a disabled passenger to access the seat unit.

Dampening hinges and table assemblies including the same

A dampened hinge construction for braking pivoting movement of one structure relative to another. The dampened hinge construction can be utilized in a folding table assembly in an aircraft passenger suite including a base panel and at least one folding panel pivotally attached to the base panel by multiple dampened hinges. Each dampened hinge includes a first assembly attachable to a first structure and a second assembly attachable to a second structure such that the first structure is pivotable relative to the second structure between a first condition and a second condition, such as a folded condition and a planar condition, and at least one damper that brakes pivoting movement of the first structure relative to the second structure as the first condition or second condition is approached.

An actuatable tray assembly for an aircraft passenger compartment may include a tray configured to stow underneath a first component positioned a select distance from an aircraft seat in the aircraft passenger compartment, and an actuation assembly. The actuation assembly may include an extension rail assembly. The extension rail assembly may include an extension rail coupled to the first component and coupled to the tray. The actuatable tray assembly may include a linear rail assembly. The linear rail assembly may include at least one linear rail coupled to a second component positioned proximate to the aircraft seat in the aircraft passenger compartment. The linear rail assembly may include a carriage configured to actuate along the at least one linear rail. The carriage may be coupled to the tray. The extension rail assembly and the carriage may be configured to actuate the tray from a stowed position to an extended position.

AIRCRAFT SEAT CUPHOLDER CONSOLE

Described are consoles for use in a passenger seat row. The console may include a base of a support material. The base may include a top surface, a first side wall, and a second side wall opposite the first side wall. A tray may be configured to be releasably affixed to the top surface of the base. The tray be manufactured as a piece of molded plastic. The molded plastic may be molded to include one or more storage compartments. A bottom of the molded plastic may be configured to fittingly mate with the top surface of the base. The base may further include one or more straps configured to secure the base to a passenger seat cushion, passenger seat support structure, or a passenger seat restrain system. The one or more storage compartments may be a cupholder.

Arrangement of individual seats for passengers of an aeroplane

An arrangement of individual seats for installation in an aeroplane cabin having a first set of two seats and a second set of two seats, each seat having an axis and being convertible between a sitting position and an extended position, said arrangement having a longitudinal axis. The arrangement also includes (i) a first central console having a first foot area and a second foot area open in two opposite directions relative to each other and respectively associated with the first seat of the first set and the first seat of the second set and (ii) a second central console having a first foot area and a second foot area open in two opposite directions relative to each other and respectively associated with the second seat of the first set and the second seat of the second set.

Aircraft seat with taxi, takeoff and landing lie flat capability

A side-facing aircraft passenger seat having a head rest, seat back, seat bottom and leg rest moveable between an upright seating position and a lie flat sleeping position, and including a plurality of air bags positioned in at least partially surrounding orientation in relation to the seat and inflatable to provide comfort and protection to a seat occupant while in the lie flat sleeping position. The seat may be oriented obliquely to the longitudinal axis of the aircraft.

Deployable center console shelf for an aircraft passenger seat

An aircraft seating group including first and second laterally-adjacent seats, a center console positioned between the seats, a rear privacy shell positioned behind the seats and forming part of the center console, a vertical partition extending forward from the rear privacy shell to divide the center console, and a deployable shelf positioned to one side of the vertical partition, the shelf configured to hold a tablet for viewing by a passenger facing the shelf.

AIRCRAFT PASSENGER SEAT WITH ENHANCED LIE FLAT POSITION SPACING

In an illustrative embodiment of an aircraft cabin passenger seating arrangement, first and second adjacent passenger seats are positioned at different angles with reference to a longitudinal axis of an aircraft, and longitudinally offset from each other such that the first seat is positioned forward of the second seat by an amount less than a length of the second passenger seat when in the lie-flat position. The first and second adjacent passenger seats may be longitudinally offset from a third passenger seat separated from the second passenger seat by an aisle, the third passenger seat disposed proximate a fourth passenger seat, such that a row of passenger seats includes two staggered groups of passenger seating. The first passenger seat may be vertically offset from the second passenger seat.

Aircraft passenger seat fixing systems and arrangements

An aircraft passenger seating system comprises an array of floor panels (4) fixed within an aircraft cabin deck section (1), the floor panels (4) providing an array of discrete fixing means for removable attachment of a plurality of passenger seating units. The seating units may be of mutually different configurations each having a common footprint, such that the different configurations are interchangeable without having to re-arrange other seating units. The common footprint may be provided by a common size and shape of floor panel (4) or the floor panels (4) may provide a regular array of discrete fixing means such that the configurations may be positioned regardless of the position of the floor panels (4).

Exit row table for an aircraft

A table (30) for an aircraft includes a table surface (56) deployable between a retracted position and a deployed position, an arm (50) having a first end and a second end, the arm (50) supporting the table (66) surface at the first end, a support connected to the arm (50) at the second end, the support connecting the arm to a structure interior to the aircraft, a sensor (136) within the aircraft to detect if a seat adjacent to the table surface is occupied, and a mechanism (120) for retracting the table surface to the retracted position if the sensor (136) detects at least one of that the seat is not occupied and that the aircraft flight mode meets predetermined criteria.
