A light-sensitive element operatively connected to the light source selectively controls production of light by the light source in such a manner that illumination of the cup holder is provided only under conditions where visibility is reduced to the point that it becomes difficult to locate the cup holder. The light-sensitive element is mounted on a master lighted cup holder and controls illumination of the master lighted cup holder and one or more slave lighted cup holders operatively connected to the master lighted cup holder.
KNIT AMENITIES PANEL FOR AIRCRAFT SEAT
Described are passenger seats including a knit amenities panel, the knit amenities panel having a support structure including a cover shroud member and a backing member; and a knitted retention component comprising at least one elastic yarn, where the knitted retention component is knitted in one piece; the knitted retention component is attachable to the backing member and defines a plurality of openings; a tension force is created in the knitted retention component due to the attachment of the knitted retention component to the backing member; the tension force permits the knitted retention component to hold at least one object; and the backing member with the knitted retention component attached is coupled to the cover shroud member.
AIRCRAFT SEAT CUPHOLDER CONSOLE
Described are consoles for use in a passenger seat row. The console may include a base of a support material. The base may include a top surface, a first side wall, and a second side wall opposite the first side wall. A tray may be configured to be releasably affixed to the top surface of the base. The tray be manufactured as a piece of molded plastic. The molded plastic may be molded to include one or more storage compartments. A bottom of the molded plastic may be configured to fittingly mate with the top surface of the base. The base may further include one or more straps configured to secure the base to a passenger seat cushion, passenger seat support structure, or a passenger seat restrain system. The one or more storage compartments may be a cupholder.
Aircraft sideboard
An aircraft sideboard includes a first portion with a first top surface and a first panel. The first top surface is disposed substantially horizontally at a first height and the first panel is disposed substantially vertically adjacent to the first top surface. A second portion is disposed adjacent to the first portion at a first end of the first portion. The second portion includes a second top surface and a second panel. The second top surface is disposed substantially horizontally at a second height and the second panel is disposed substantially vertically adjacent to the second top surface. A table is stowed interiorly to the first portion. The table extends from the first portion when deployed. The first top surface is immovable. The table deploys by tilting the first panel along a pivot axis defined adjacent to a bottom end thereof. The first height is greater than the second height.
RECONFIGURABLE SEAT ASSEMBLY
A seat assembly for an internal cabin of a vehicle includes a seat cushion, and a backrest pivotally coupled to the seat cushion. The backrest is moveable between a first position and a second position. The first position is configured to allow a passenger to sit on the seat cushion. The second position is configured to allow one or more cargo items to be secured on a rear surface of the backrest.
Passenger seating arrangement
A passenger furniture device for a passenger seat provided within a vehicle cabin, in particular an aircraft cabin, including at least a base element having at least an upper utility surface for a passenger, a removable section element which is mounted to one side of the base element, and a simple latch mechanism. In particular, the latch mechanism may be a simple plug-in and clip device. The latch mechanism is an easy to handle releasable attachment and fixation device to release the removable section from the base element, particularly only by crew and service members of the aircraft. The latch mechanism is provided on the base element and the section element such that the section element is detachably mounted to the base element via the latch mechanism.
Arm cap friction hinge mechanism
An arm cap friction hinge mechanism may include a center link; a first top link, a top friction hinge link, a second top link, and a top pin link coupled to the center link; an upper hinge mount coupled to an arm cap, to the first top link, and to the top friction hinge link via a first friction hinge; an upper pin mount coupled to the arm cap of the aircraft seat, to the second top link, and to the top pin link. The center link may be coupled to at least one hinge mount via at least a second friction hinge. The arm cap may be configured to actuate between a closed position and a first open position around the first friction hinge, and between the first open position and a second open position about an axis through the at least a second friction hinge.
Cloth Tray Cover For Tray Tables Found On Airplanes, Trains Or Cars, Having Assorted Pockets Of Diverse Utility, Including A Clear Sleeve Pocket On The Surface Of The Tray, An Adjustable Viewing Pocket For Electronic Devices, And A Collapsible Drink Holder For Use When The Tray Table Is In The Locked Position
This embodiment of a cloth tray cover and its accessories is used on tray tables found on airplanes or trains, and with tray tables in some cars.
