Food tray for passenger seat
A seating assembly for a passenger aircraft. The seat system may include at least one passenger seat and a seat back tray assembly mounted onto the back of the passenger seat and movable between a first storage position and a second deployed position. The tray assembly may include (i) a tray having a first and second attachment arm mounted onto the tray for installing the tray onto the back of a seat system; (ii) a sliding mechanism installed on the first and second attachment arms adapted for providing movement between a first forward position and a second aft position to a seated passenger parallel to the first and second attachment arms; and (iii) an alignment mechanism attached to the sliding mechanism for maintaining the tray in a horizontally aligned relationship during the movement. The seat system may further include a PED holder adapted to hold a personal electronic device.
Aircraft seat with extendable and retractable rear section
An aircraft seat may include a seat pan cushion coupled to a seat base. The aircraft seat may include a seat back cushion. The aircraft seat may include an auxiliary rear section. The auxiliary rear section may be configured to transition between an extended position and a retracted position. The seat pan cushion and the seat back cushion may be configured to transition between a first position and a second position. The auxiliary rear section may be configured to be in the extended position when the seat pan cushion and the seat back cushion are in the first position. The auxiliary rear section may be configured to be in the retracted position when the seat pan cushion and the seat back cushion are in the second position.
RECLINING SEAT
A reclining seat including, but not limited to, a seat bottom. The reclining seat further including, but not limited to, a seat back having an upper segment and a lower segment, the lower segment pivotally coupled with the seat bottom via a first pivotal coupling, and the upper segment pivotally coupled with the lower segment via a second pivotal coupling.
Configurable vehicle seat and method therefor
An adjustable vehicle seat including a seat frame forming a seat back, the seat frame being configured to couple with an aerospace vehicle, and a seat pan coupled to the seat frame, where one or more of the seat frame and the seat pan is configured to couple the seat pan to the seat frame in one of a plurality of positions relative to the seat frame so that an eye position of a seat occupant relative to instrumentation within the aerospace vehicle is decoupled from a size of the seat occupant.
Tray table pillow for aircraft passenger seat
A tray table pillow combination for a passenger seat has a table rotatably coupled on each side to a support arm. The table has a utility surface and a cushioned surface on an opposed surface. The support arms are pivotally coupled to either a barrier or another seat forward of the passenger seat. Each arm has a seat connecting segment pivotally coupled to the barrier or other seat, and a table connecting segment slidably engaged with the seat connecting segment. The table is rotatably coupled to the table connecting segment. A detent mechanism is cooperatively engaged between the table connecting segment and the seat connecting segment to selectively lock and release slidable engagement of the seat connecting segment with the table connecting segment. A rotation lock is cooperatively engaged between the table connecting segment and the table on at least one of the support arms.
Aircraft sleep systems including laterally positioned moveable headrests
Sleep systems for aircraft are disclosed. An example sleep system includes a divider having a plurality of panels, each panel defining a pocket, and a lateral sleep apparatus positioned adjacent a seat, the lateral sleep apparatus to be positioned at least partially in the pocket of the panel.
Tray table folding mount
A tray table folding mount for use on an unfolded tray table on an aircraft that incorporates a headrest attached to an upper support attached to an intermediate member. The intermediate member is attached to a lower planar member that is placed over the tray table. The headrest includes a nose relief aperture that receives the nose of the passenger when his forehead and face are resting in the headrest. The upper support, the intermediate member, and lower planar member are easily assembled or disassembled and stored in a compact configuration. In one embodiment, the upper support and intermediate member are pivotally connected, and the intermediate member is pivotally connected to the lower planar support. Formed on the planar member is an edge engaging lip that captures an edge on the tray table. Also mounted on the intermediate member is a ledge configured to hold a viewing device.
Airplane Seat Pillow Device
An airplane seat pillow device is described. Embodiments of the airplane seat pillow device can be implemented to provide a pillow proximate a head of a user. The pillow device can be configured to be placed between adjacent seats on an airplane seat. A pillow engagement member can be provided that can move in and out of a main body of the pillow device. At least one pillow can be removably secured to the pillow engagement member.
Removable modular privacy assembly
A removable privacy panel assembly (100) for a passenger seat includes a center panel (101) with a width approximately equal to a width of the passenger seat and at least one side panel (103, 104) with a connection to the center panel (101) where the at least one side panel extends approximately perpendicular to the center panel. The removable privacy panel assembly includes a deployed configuration where the removable privacy panel assembly is attached to the passenger seat and an uninstalled configuration where the removable privacy panel assembly is detached from the passenger seat. In the deployed configuration, the center panel is approximately aligned with a seatback (11) of the passenger seat and the at least one side panel (103, 104) extends forward from the center panel (101) beyond a seating surface of the passenger seat. In the deployed configuration, the at least one side panel (103, 104) is disposed adjacent to a headrest (15) of the passenger seat.
