Aircraft Seat with Separated Seat Back and Seat Pan
An aircraft seat may include a seat back coupled to a shell of one or more passenger compartment shell sections of a passenger compartment installed within an aircraft cabin. The aircraft seat may include a seat pan coupled to a floor of the aircraft cabin proximate to an ottoman installed within the passenger compartment. The seat back may be in contact with a surface of the seat pan when the aircraft seat is in a first position. The seat back may be separated from the surface of the seat pan when the aircraft seat is in a second position. The seat back may be configured to move independently of the seat pan when the aircraft seat transitions between the first position and the second position.
Lock mechanism for rotary component control
A lock mechanism for controlling a rotating component including an outer shaft attachable to a stationary component and having a slotted ring defining capture slots and an interior annular space, a control ring having a first end disposed in the annular space, an inner shaft attachable to a rotating component configured to rotate relative to the stationary component, and the inner shaft engaged with a second end of the control ring, a first collar rotatably disposed around the slotted ring, the first collar having a plurality of release recesses, and a plurality of first bearings respectively retained within the capture slots beneath the first collar. In a first rotational position of the first collar, the plurality of release recesses align with the capture slots to rotationally disengage the rotating and stationary components. In a second rotational position of the first collar, the plurality of release recesses misalign with the capture slots to rotationally engage the rotating and stationary components.
REVERSIBLE SEAT ASSEMBLY
A reversible seat assembly for use with an airplane. The reversible seat comprises a base assembly and a vertical assembly. The base assembly and the vertical assembly are connected to a support structure and are collectively disposable into and out of a first travel position, a second travel position, and a third travel position. In the first and second travel positions a user or passenger may assume a usual sitting position. In the third travel position the user may assume a reverse sitting position. The base assembly comprises a right segment and a left segment connected and rotationally movable to a central segment. The vertical assembly comprises a lower segment and an upper segment connected to and rotationally movable a middle segment. The reversible seat assembly may further comprise a back armrest connected to an opposite side of said middle segment and structure to provide support to the arms of the user.
CONVERTIBLE INTERIOR FIXTURE FOR A VEHICLE
A configurable interior fixture for a vehicle includes a base assembly, a table assembly and an ottoman cushion. The base assembly is positionable between a lowered position and a raised position. The table assembly includes a center leaf section supported on the base assembly and a side leaf section that is moveable between a stowed position and a use position. The ottoman cushion includes a base frame with a cavity for receiving the table assembly and a cushion assembly attached to the base frame. The interior fixture may be configured as a foot rest by lowering the base assembly, folding the table assembly and attaching the ottoman cushion to the table assembly. The interior fixture may be configured as a table by raising the base assembly, detaching the ottoman cushion from the table assembly and the unfolding the table assembly into the use position.
A DRIVE UNIT FOR A VEHICLE SEAT
The present invention refers to a drive unit (D to D8) comprising a protection housing (20). Further, the present invention refers to a seat (1) for a vehicle, in particular to an aircraft passenger seat or to any other of a passenger and automotive seat.
RECLINING SEAT
A reclining seat including, but not limited to, a seat bottom; a seat back, a leg support, and an arm support forming a seat assembly. The seat assembly is configured to be supported on a floor surface and to move between an upright configuration and a flat configuration. The seat back and the leg support are transverse to the seat bottom, and the arm support is transverse to the seat back, when the seat assembly is in the upright configuration. The seat back, the seat bottom, the leg support and the arm support are each longitudinally aligned with one another when the seat assembly is in the flat configuration. An upper surface of the seat back, the seat bottom, and the leg support are each coplanar with one another and substantially coplanar with the arm support when the seat assembly is in the flat configuration.
Aircraft seat for cabin crew
A seat for cabin crew, intended to be installed in an aircraft, includes a seat structure intended to be fixed to a fixed portion of the aircraft, a seat slide provided with two arms positioned on either side of the seat portion, and a seat portion mounted slidably relative to the seat slide between a retracted position and an extended position. One of the elements among the seat portion and the seat slide includes rollers capable of sliding along corresponding rails provided in the other one of the elements among the seat portion and the seat slide. The rails have a curved shape so that the seat portion forms, in the extended position, an angle of more than 10 degrees, preferably of around 14 degrees, relative to a floor of the aircraft.
Seat array, particularly for aircraft
A seat array that includes a first and a second seat arranged with their backrests opposite one another, seats being able to move from a sitting position to a lying position, a portion of a dividing wall being arranged laterally with respect to the seats, the portion of dividing wall being provided in such a way as to leave an entry/exit passage, and thus access, to the seats, the entry/exit passage leading to a lane for reaching the first or the second seat, the dividing walls, on their respective end constituting the entry/exit passage provide, externally, a respective footrest, which is positioned in front of a respective third and fourth seats, which are arranged in an opposite direction with respect to the respective seat arranged on the opposite side of the same dividing wall.
Apparatus and method for controlling rear-seat leg support of vehicle seat
An apparatus for controlling a rear-seat leg support for a vehicle seat includes: a rear-seat leg support disposed at a lower side of a vehicle seat and that performs an upward-downward rotational operation and a forward-rearward slide operation; a passenger seat that performs a forward-rearward slide operation and a forward-rearward reclining operation; a drive unit that operates each of the rear-seat leg support and the passenger seat; a sensor unit connected to the drive unit and that detects a rotation angle and a slide position of the rear-seat leg support or a slide position and a reclining angle of the passenger seat; an input unit that receives an inputted operation instruction to operate the rear-seat leg support or the passenger seat; and a control unit that adjusts the slide position of the rear-seat leg support.
Short multiple function rotary actuator lever
A multi-function lever actuation system includes a control lever having a neutral position and configured to be actuated in a clockwise direction and in a counterclockwise direction. The system further includes a bell crank coupled to the control lever and configured to rotate in an opposite direction from the control lever and to actuate a first controlled component in response to a first rotation of the control lever in a first direction corresponding to the clockwise direction or the counterclockwise direction. The system further includes a first cable coupled to the control lever and configured to actuate a second controlled component in response to a rotation of the control lever in a second direction corresponding to the other of the clockwise direction or the counterclockwise direction.
