COCKPIT CENTER CONSOLE ARMREST
A cockpit center console armrest includes a base member configured for mounting to a floor, an extending member mechanically coupled to the base member, and an armrest mechanically coupled to the extending member. The extending member includes an inner telescoping member configured for sliding within an outer telescoping member for adjusting a height of the armrest. A lever exposed on an underside of the armrest is configured for actuating a release mechanism. The release mechanism is configured for releasably securing the inner telescoping member to the outer telescoping member. A pivot axis pivotably couples the extending member to the base member such that the extending member is rotatable for rotating the armrest between a deployed orientation and a retracted orientation.
Butterfly leafs for economy seat middle handle
A stowable armrest extension rotates or translates from the armrest and deploys into one or more horizontal extensions. Linking elements connect the movement of various components to direct, restrict, and automate deployment. A central column may isolate the butterfly leafs to prevent incidental contact between neighboring passengers. An actuator may apply a force to deploy the stowable armrest extension, either when a release is activated or when a top cap is moved.
Integrated seating armrest, stowage and bed surface
An aircraft seat for an aircraft passenger compartment suite is disclosed. In embodiments, the aircraft seat includes a primary section including a primary seatback portion and a primary seat base portion, and an auxiliary section including an auxiliary seatback portion and an auxiliary seat base portion. In embodiments, the aircraft seat may further include an actuatable element configured to actuate between an open position and a closed position. The actuatable element may include a first surface which defines at least a portion of the auxiliary seatback portion when the actuatable element is in the closed position, and a second surface which defines a surface of an armrest when the actuatable element is in the open position.
Aircraft armrest with locking adjustable arm pad
An armrest is disclosed that includes an armrest subframe configured to couple to an arm of the seat that includes a slot within a face of the armrest subframe configured to receive a stop pin. The armrest further includes an arm pad translatably coupled to the armrest subframe and includes a plurality of grooves formed on one edge of the armrest subframe. The arm pad further includes the stop pin that restricts the translation of the arm pad and a spring anchor. The armrest further includes a lever rotationally coupled to the armrest that includes a locking pin configured to engage one or more grooves of the plurality of grooves, and an actuating end, wherein a movement of the actuating end at least one of engages or disengages the locking pin from the one or more grooves of the plurality of grooves. The armrest further includes a biasing spring.
PINCH POINT FREE ROTATABLE AIRCRAFT ARMREST
An armrest assembly for seats on an aircraft includes a mount bracket and a leaf that is movable relative to the mount bracket. A hinge pin interacts with at least a portion of the mount bracket and the leaf. The leaf rotates about the hinge pin to raise and lower the armrest assembly.
SHAFT LOCKING METHOD USING A GEAR RACK AND TOOTHED LOCKING LEVER
A shaft locking mechanism includes a rack disposed on a translating shaft and a toothed locking lever disposed on a corresponding translation post. The toothed locking lever engages the rack in a locked orientation to prevent the shaft translating within the translation post. The toothed locking lever is disengaged during translation and the shaft may be translated and locked in place with very granular adjustability. A control rod release mechanism may be biased to maintain the toothed locking lever in the locked orientation. A cam feature on the toothed locking lever engages the body of the control rod which defines a recessed portion that coincides with the cam while in an unlocked orientation.
Vertically stowed padded tray table for passenger seat
A passenger seat or group of seats includes a tray table set into the armrest on either side of the associated seat, the tray table capable of translating lengthwise along the armrest and pivoting between a stowed configuration and a deployed configuration. In the stowed configuration, the tray table extends vertically above the armrest and may be stowed between (and partially behind) the associated seat and an adjacent seat, serving as a partial barrier between the two seats. In the deployed configuration, the tray table extends horizontally across the associated seat for use by the occupying passenger. The tray table is padded on its underside to provide the passenger with head and shoulder support when in the stowed configuration.
PASSENGER TO FREIGHTER CONVERSION WITH EXTENDABLE ARMREST ASSEMBLY
An armrest assembly for a passenger seat is disclosed. The armrest assembly may be disposed in a stowed, collapsed or passenger configuration where the armrest assembly is of a first length, and also may be disposed in an extended or cargo configuration where the armrest assembly is of a second length that is greater than the first length. Such an armrest assembly may be used to convert all or a portion of a passenger compartment (e.g., of an aircraft) to a cargo compartment by disposing a plurality of armrest assemblies in their respective extended/cargo configuration. Any appropriate cargo may be disposed on/supported by one or more armrest assemblies in their extended/cargo configuration. A free distal end or distal end portion of each armrest assembly in its extended configuration may be anchored to/supported by an appropriate structure, such as an adjacent passenger seat or a bracket(s) attached to a wall.
FOLDABLE ATTENDANT STEP
An armrest assembly for a passenger seat may include an armrest and an attendant step assembly. The armrest may include a top side and a bottom side, and the attendant step assembly may be connected to the bottom of the armrest. The attendant step assembly is movable between a stowed position and a deployed position relative to the bottom side of the armrest.
SINGLE CONTROL CONSOLE MOUNTED ARMREST
A console mounted armrest includes an adjustable post to raise and lower the armrest, and a linkage. The linkage defines the tilt of the armrest with respect to the post. A single control mechanism controls the motion of the post, and thereby also controls the tilt of the armrest to maintain a desirable orientation with respect to the sidestick. The control mechanism defines multiple positive lock-out positions with respect to the post such that the control mechanism will always engage one of the positive lock-out positions.
