Three-dimensional multi-shell insulation
A three-dimensional multi-shell insulation configured to conform to the shape of a spacecraft component to be insulated. The insulation may have a plurality of nested shell layers that are displaceable relative to each other for providing natural separation between the shell layers when the insulation is used in low-pressure and/or low-gravity space-related applications. To establish the spacing between shell layers, an edge clamp may be operatively coupled to an edge portion on at least one side of each shell layer. The shell layers may have sufficient flexibility and/or may be sufficiently displaceable relative to each other to allow the insulation to be installed or removed from the spacecraft component. One or more restraints may be provided in the space between the shell layers for restricting the relative lateral and/or transverse movement between shell layers for preventing contact. Additive manufacturing may be employed to fabricate the insulation and integrate features.

PASSENGER CABIN AIR DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM AND METHOD OF USING
A passenger cabin air distribution system includes a ventilation system and an ejector-diffuser. The ventilation system is operable to provide a conditioned air. The ejector-diffuser is positioned to receive a flow of the conditioned air from the ventilation system. The ejector-diffuser includes an induction unit and a diffuser section. The induction unit includes a secondary inlet in communication with a cabin air from a passenger cabin and is configured to mix the flow of the conditioned air with an induced flow of the cabin air into a mixed air. The diffuser section includes a discharge to eject the mixed air to the passenger cabin. The diffuser section is shaped to provide for efficient mixing with low backpressure in order to maintain the low motive pressure in the nozzle.
ARTIFICIAL SATELLITE AND METHOD FOR FILLING A TANK OF PROPELLENT GAS OF SAID ARTIFICIAL SATELLITE
Disclosed is artificial satellite including: a mounting structure supporting equipment-bearing walls; a launcher-adapter rigidly connected to the mounting structure; a first radiator; and at least one first system for transporting heat by a fluid, including at least one duct having a first heat-exchange section and a second heat-exchange section, the second heat-exchange section being capable of being in thermal contact with the first radiator. The first heat-exchange section is in thermal contact with at least one portion of the launcher-adapter. Also disclosed is a method for filling a tank of propellant gas of the artificial satellite.
