A controller for an animal feeder uses image recognition to classify a species, and optionally an age and gender, of an animal at a dispenser for the feeder. Based upon the image recognition, the controller enables access or denies access to feed based upon permitted and non-permitted species, gender and age.

A container is disclosed for maintaining, shipping and dispensing granular material such as but not limited to pet food. The container includes an aperture in the bottom which is sealed with a pull tab until the material is ready for dispensing. An automated dispenser of such granular materials is also disclosed such that an insert in a drawer located below an aperture in the dispenser controls the amount of material that is dispensed from the container that sits atop the dispenser.

A vibratory animal feeder suitable for containing and agitating particulate animal feed and preventing or minimizing bridging and facilitating flow of the feed as the feed is dispensed to attract game animals may include a feeder hopper. The feeder hopper may include a hopper interior for containing animal feed and a feed dispensing opening communicating with the hopper interior. A feed dispensing assembly may be disposed in communication with the feed dispensing opening of the feed hopper. At least one hopper vibrator may be disposed in the hopper interior in mechanical engagement with the feeder hopper to impart vibration to the feeder hopper and agitate and break up the animal feed such that the animal feed flows more easily and freely from the feeder to the ground or other surface.

A bin monitoring system is useable with an elevated feed bin having a plurality of legs that support the bin above a pad so that each leg is connected to the pad through a load cell. The system includes an inner leg mount configured to be attached to a leg, the inner leg mount having an upper portion, and an outer bracket mounted on the load cell. The outer bracket receives the inner leg mount such that a bolt aperture in the outer bracket aligns with a bolt aperture in the upper portion of the inner leg mount and is secured with a threaded bolt. Rotation of the threaded bolt moves the inner leg mount toward the outer bracket to lift the leg so that the leg is supported by the load cell.

The smart pet feeder includes a housing, and a grain storage component arranged in an upper part of the housing, a driving component arranged in a middle part of the housing and a throwing component arranged in a lower part of the housing; a rotating component is arranged in the housing, and the rotating component has a supporting column, the upper part of the supporting column is provided with a wheel, the lower part of the supporting column is provided with a driving gear, the bottom end of the supporting column is provided with a cam; the upper part is extended into the grain storage component, and the wheel is contained in the grain storage component; the driving gear is rotatably connected with the driving component, the cam is connected with the throwing component in the housing.

A material application system includes a hopper assembly and a conveyor assembly. The hopper assembly includes an upper portion and a downcomer portion. Bulk material is loaded into the upper portion and passes through the downcomer portion. The downcomer portion may include a sail plate for agitating the bulk material to inhibit the formation of clogs in the bulk material.

A feeding system for feeding individual animals of a herd feed, supplements, and combinations thereof. The feeding system includes one-to-many feed bin assemblies or feeding stations such that the system is able to dispense a specified mass of feed to specific animals at user-defined intervals. In this way, each animal of a herd is provided with optimal, individualized amounts of feed or feed material. Multiple feed bin assemblies in a single pasture, for example, can automatically form a network of feeders so that regardless of the specific feed bin assembly or feeding station within the feeding system that an animal visits, the specified amount and type of feed or feed material is delivered. Each feed bin assembly or feeding station can also be equipped to download, archive/store, and/or synthesize data into an individual animal record and/or to transmit data from additional onboard animal sensors such as activity and rumination sensors.

A feed and water distribution device with a housing and a drip edge that hangs over protecting one or more feed ports or openings in the housing of the device. Each opening can be fitted with a plug that may also feature a shelf, wall and/or a drinking or watering valve. The housing of the device is shaped such that a portion of it covers the opening(s) in the housing through which feed and water can be obtained by animals. The housing can feature a drip edge. Optional plugs fit into the openings and can feature watering valves that can be manipulated by animals to dispense water. The interior cavity of the housing can be fitted with a funnel to direct the feed toward the center of the interior cavity. The floor of the housing can be cone shaped to help direct feed passing through the funnel towards each opening.

The invention relates to a pet feeder, in particular, to a feeder having a remote control function, and more specifically to an entertaining feeder. In view of problems such as currently, pet hardly participates in an entire feeding process, so that the need of pet hardly matches manual feeding, and pet cannot obtain a sense of delight and a sense of achievement in the feeding process, an entertaining feeder is provided. Feeder is mainly formed by a feeding body and a controller, where feeding body mainly includes a food container provided with a food leaking hole, a bracket, and a food tray; and the controller mainly includes a control signal transmitter and a controller positioner. By using the controller formed by combining the controller positioner and the control signal transmitter, pet itself can be urged to operate control signal transmitter and trigger a control signal receiver.
