An ejection head for an ejection device of a sealing machine for sealing a container includes a supporting element with a supporting axis and a sliding end, and a sliding element for sliding the supporting element along a sliding profile of the sealing machine. The sliding element is arranged at the sliding end and a force acting essentially in the direction of the supporting axis is capable of being transmitted via the sliding element to the supporting element. So that the sliding element and the sliding profile are subject to reduced wear, the sliding element is a rotatable rolling element, so that in the operating state the supporting element is capable of being unrolled over the rotatable rolling element along the sliding profile.

Lid for containers and related methods

A lid designed to allow a user to see and adjust the humidity levels of a container through the use of a hygrometer and pocket for humidity packs. The lid also allows this to be accomplished without removing the lid because a hatch gives the user access to the inside of the container and underside of the lid, where the pocket is located. Also, the hatch on the lid provides a more efficient and easier method of accessing the contents of a container because a user can simply open and close a hatch, instead of needing to unlock a lever locking latch to remove a lid.

HUMIDITY-MANAGEMENT PACKAGING SYSTEMS AND METHODS
20200205959 · 2020-07-02 ·

Packaging systems and methods are disclosed for storing a bioprosthetic device comprising a bioprosthetic tissue and maintaining a target relative humidity across a temperature range. The packaging system includes a sealed package defining an internal space having an internal volume, and a humidity control device and bioprosthetic device within the internal space. The humidity control device includes a barrier defining an enclosed space and a humidity control solution comprising glycerol in the enclosed space. At least a portion of the barrier comprises a gas-permeable membrane. The target relative humidity is provided within the internal volume of the sealed package and the control device maintains the target relative humidity across the temperature range by selectively liberating and absorbing water vapor.

EGG CONTAINER AND A METHOD OF REMOVING ONE OR MORE EGGS FROM SAID EGG CONTAINER

An egg container is disclosed which includes a hollow receptacle having a pair of sidewalls connected to a first end wall, to a second end wall, and to a bottom wall. The hollow receptacle has an open top surrounded by a rim. The rim has a pair of folded flanges formed thereon, each of which extends along at least a portion of the length of each of the pair of sidewalls. The hollow receptacle is capable of holding multiple eggs in a stationary and spaced apart fashion. The egg container further includes a lid sized and shaped to slide between the pair of folded flanges and completely cover the open top of the hollow receptacle. A method of removing one or more eggs from the egg container is also taught.

Positioning Unit and Attachment Unit for Container Element

The present disclosure relates to a positioning unit for positioning a container element in a container body comprising a base plate of a rigid material, and a plunger skirt of a resiliently deformable material. A footprint surface of the base plate has a circumferential edge with a side edge portion comprising an inwardly curved segment. The plunger skirt is transformable between an unexpanded state and an expanded state by relative movement in relation to the base plate.

The disclosure further relates to an attachment unit for attaching a container element to a container body and to an apparatus for attaching container elements to container bodies in a flow of containers. In addition, the disclosure relates to a method of positioning a container element in a container body by means of the positioning unit.

Systems and methods for accumulation

Method and systems for accumulation are described. In one embodiment, a dispensing station includes a receiving opening, a dispensing opening and a storage area. The dispensing station receives and dispenses a container. A transportable storage system includes multiple partitions disposed on a carrier portion to define multiple carriage sections. The carriage sections are electronically identifiable and selectively hold or eject the container. A bin apparatus for receiving the container includes a movable portion to selectively hold and release the container. A control unit for commanding the bin apparatus to dispense the container to a desired carriage section of the transportable storage system is provided. Additional methods and systems are disclosed.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PACKAGING FOOD PRODUCTS IN CONTAINERS AND CONTAINERS PACKAGED BY SUCH SYSTEMS AND METHODS

A system for packaging a food product in a container generally includes a conveyance apparatus operable to move trays in a machine direction, a delivery apparatus operable to deposit the food product into cavities of the trays, and a positioning apparatus operable to position covers relative to the trays. The positioning apparatus is configured to position each cover on a respective tray to overlap a flange of the respective tray. The system also comprises an ultrasonic bonding apparatus configured to receive the flange and the cover of each container in the nip between a first bonding module and a second bonding module. At least one of the first bonding module and the second bonding module vibrates at an ultrasonic frequency and delivers ultrasonic energy to at least one of the cover and the flange to seal the container.

Humidity-management packaging systems and methods

Storage containers

Filtered storage containers for hazardous waste, such as radioactive waste, more particularly plutonium in the form of oxides and salts, are made of stainless steel and include lids which are retained by retaining rings that utilize bayonet or ratchet closures that cooperate with rims that are integral with cans to hold the lids in place. Sealing arrangements are provided that each include an O-ring of a circular cross section which seals radially between the lid and rim, as well as a seal of cruciform cross section, which seal provides compression sealing between the lid and an annular shelf within the rim upon locking the retaining ring to the rim with the bayonet or ratchet fitting.
