Smart pack system for medicines
Disclosed is a blister pack smart dispensing package that has an overlay with conductors located over blister pack pockets that are broken when a user retrieves a solid medication, such as a pill, from the blister pack. The date and time that the user retrieved the solid medication from the smart pack is recorded by an electronics and communications package on the smart pack. A local communications device then receives this adherence data and transmits this data to a server, which generates a data structure containing adherence data. A blister pack overlay can be used which changes colors to indicate that the medication is about to expire, or has expired.
Seal cleaner and process for soluble unit dose pouches containing granular composition
An apparatus and process for cleaning seals of soluble unit dose pouches containing granular composition.
Thermoform packaging machine with 2-axis robot
A thermoform packaging machine comprising a forming station for thermoforming troughs in a bottom film web adapted to be conveyed in the thermoform packaging machine in a conveying direction, as well as a closing station for closing the troughs with a cover film. The machine further comprises a machine frame that includes a plurality of interconnected vertical members, longitudinal members, cross members, and machine feet. At least one substantially U-shaped or O-shaped portal is rigidly integrated in the machine frame, the portal comprising two columns and a crossbar extending between the two columns and above a conveying plane of the bottom film web transversely to the conveying direction, wherein the portal has a 2-axis robot mounted thereon.
Thermo-forming packaging machine
A thermo-forming packaging machine having a transport device that is configured to convey a lower film in a film transport surface along a transport direction from a forming station for forming troughs in the lower film via an inserting track for filling the troughs with products to a sealing station for sealing the troughs with an upper film and further to a cutting station for separating the sealed troughs. The film transport surface may include an area that ascends along the transport direction, either between the forming station and the sealing station or following the sealing station. The ascending areas may be followed in the transport direction by an even area. As a result, one of a product feeding device for feeding of products or a packaging discharge device for leading away packages may be positioned particularly close to the lower film.
Thermo-forming packaging machine
A thermo-forming packaging machine having a transport device that is configured to convey a lower film in a film transport surface along a transport direction from a forming station for forming troughs in the lower film through an inserting track for filling the troughs with products to a sealing station for sealing the troughs with an upper film and further to a cutting station for separating the closed troughs. In one embodiment, the film transport surface comprises a first ascending area and a first descending area that is arranged downstream of the ascending area between the forming station and the sealing station. Alternatively or in addition, the film transport surface comprises between the sealing station and the cutting station a second ascending area and after the cutting station a second descending area.
RECONFIGURABLE DEVICE FOR DISPENSING/DISTRIBUTING TABLETS IN BLISTER POCKETS OF A PACKAGING STRIP OF A MACHINE OF BLISTER-PACK PACKAGING TYPE
Disclosed is a reconfigurable device for dispensing/distributing tablets in the blister pockets of a packaging strip subjected to longitudinal movement in a substantially horizontal plane of a packaging machine having a blister-packer, the reconfigurable device having a frame designed to be mounted on the blister-packer, the frame having a front attachment wall preferably arranged vertically, at least one accessory for dispensing/distributing the tablets in the blister pockets of the strip, the accessory being designed to be mounted removably on the frame. The device includes an intermediate interface intended to be attached removably to the frame, against the front attachment wall thereof, in order to support the at least one accessory. The interface includes at least one drive member of a mobile element of the accessory/accessories supported thereby.
Methods and systems for pallet sizing and pucking
A pharmaceutical order filling system uses pucks disposed on a pallet to accommodate a plurality of container sizes into which pharmaceuticals can be dispensed. An order processing device receives a pharmaceutical order and identifies a size of container into which a pharmaceutical in the pharmaceutical order should be dispensed. A pallet sizing and pucking device is configured: to configure a pallet with a plurality of pucks adapted to accommodate containers and to configure the pucks on a pallet in a manner that will facilitate efficient fulfillment of the pharmaceutical order.
REDUCTION IN STRESS CRACKING OF FILMS
Methods and packages for storing film strips while reducing or eliminating stress cracking during storage, including use of packages having an inner surface made from polymeric materials exhibiting various physical properties and including films and pouches that are annealed.
Blister package for pharmaceutical cartridges
A blister packaging for a pharmaceutical cartridge or capsule and methods of forming same are disclosed.
Container for storage of a medicament
Various embodiments are described for a container for storage of a medicament, the container comprising a surface having at least a cavity configured to store at least one dose of the medicament; and a covering disposed over at least the cavity of the surface and comprising at least two adjacent edges and a set of perforations disposed on the covering and spaced apart from the at least two adjacent edges of the covering. A container comprising a sheet of separable units and methods for use are described.
