Pharmaceutical cassette
A cassette for dispensing pharmaceuticals includes a base defining an outlet and having a drive member. The drive member is configured to be rotated. The cassette also includes a plurality of plate assemblies supported by the base in a stacked configuration. Each plate assembly includes a plate body defining an opening aligned with the outlet, and a disk coupled to the drive member and defining a plurality of cubbies. Each disk is rotatable relative to the corresponding plate body by rotating the drive member of the base to selectively align each cubby with the opening in the plate body.
PROCESS OF MAKING WATER-SOLUBLE UNIT DOSE ARTICLES
A process of making water soluble unit dose articles using water-soluble films is disclosed. The process includes obtaining a first film roll to provide a first film web to a forming surface and obtaining a second film roll to provide a second film web to the forming surface. The first film web and second film web are tensioned to induce strains thereon. The first film web is conformed to one or more recesses in the forming surface forming one or more cavities in the first film web. The one or more cavities are filled with one or more treatment agents. The second film web is joined to the first film web.
DOSER ASSEMBLIES, APPARATUSES INCLUDING A DOSER ASSEMBLY, AND/OR METHODS OF MAKING THE SAME
In an example embodiment, a doser assembly includes a hopper assembly configured to receive plant material, a bracket assembly connected to the hopper assembly, and a roller in a hopper opening defined by the hopper assembly extending through the hopper assembly. An interior surface of the hopper assembly may define the hopper opening. The bracket assembly may include a shaft extending across a portion of the hopper opening. The roller may be in the portion of the hopper opening of the hopper assembly and may extend between a first part and a second part of the interior surface of the hopper assembly. The roller may be connected to the shaft and may be configured to rotate with rotation of the shaft.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR FORMING DUAL LAYER WATER SOLUBLE PACKETS
A method of forming dual layer water soluble packets includes drawing a base film into a cavity of a mold, drawing air through openings in the base film, metering an amount of a first product of a first color onto the base film in the cavity, metering an amount of a second product of a second color onto the amount of the first product, and, sealing a lid film to the base film.
POLYMER PACKAGING SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A rotary knife assembly includes a rotatable core and a plurality of knife blades extending from the rotatable core. A healing element is coupled with the plurality of knife blades, and the heating element is configured to heat the knife blades. One or more package guides are interposed between each of the plurality of knife blades configured to engage along one or more deformable packages as the rotatable core is rotated. In another example, a discharge assembly includes a conveyor belt including inner and outer belt surfaces, and a plurality of belt rows extending along a belt length. A plurality of package spacing ridges each include outer engaging edges, and one package spacing ridge of the plurality is positioned between each of the plurality of belt rows. The outer belt surface is recessed from the outer engaging edges.
DOSING APPARATUS, A MACHINE FOR PRODUCING SINGLE- DOSE CAPSULES AND RELATIVE DOSING METHOD
A dosing apparatus for dosing powdered substances for producing single-dose capsules, having at least one compartment in which at least one powdered substance is present, including a forming unit having one or more molds movable in an advancement direction, and a dosing unit including at least one dosing plate having one or more chambers, in each of which a quantity of at least one of the powdered substances can be inserted, to be subsequently transferred from at least one of the chambers to a respective mold.
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A DETERGENT WATER-SOLUBLE POUCH
A continuous method of manufacturing a detergent water-soluble pouch includes providing a first water-soluble film moving in a first direction, and forming a cavity in the first water-soluble film; providing a feed of first detergent particles to a rotating discretizing element comprising at least one pocket, rotating the loaded pocket of the rotating discretizing element from the first portion of the rotating arc to the second portion of the rotating arc, and dosing the first detergent particles from the loaded pocket to the cavity of the first water-soluble film when the loaded pocket is in a position within the second portion of the rotating arc, to form a loaded cavity.
