The kit also includes a base having an enclosed volume sized so the pallet fits within the enclosure volume. The kit also includes side walls each being smaller in area than the top support surface of the pallet. The kit includes a plurality of joint supports with each of the plurality of joint supports configured to couple at least two side walls together providing support across the joints between the side walls. A coupler is provided that is configured to attach the base to the pallet. A cap is provided that is configured to slide down over top of the base substantially enclosing the enclosed volume between the base and the cap. The pallet, side walls, joint supports, and coupler fit within the enclosed volume. The packaging kit is also expandable to be assembled as a packaging system with a container positioned on the pallet.
PACKAGING METHOD AND STRETCH HOOD SYSTEM
Packaging method and device in which, with the aid of a stretch hood system 1, a tubular film portion 3 is drawn over an article 2 that is to be packaged. The tubular film portion 3 is firstly reefed with the aid of a reefing device 8 onto at least two reefing fingers 7 of a drawing-over device 6. Then, by moving the drawing-over device 6 along the article 2 that is to be packaged, the tubular film portion 3 is unreefed from the reefing fingers 7 of the drawing-over device 6 and drawn at least in sections over the article 2. During the reefing, the tubular film portion 3 is at least intermittently inflated.
Device for wrapping a stack of goods with a tubular hood and method for changing the tubular film stock in an appropriate device
The present invention relates to a device for wrapping a piece item stack, which is formed of a plurality of piece item parts that are disposed on top of one another, with a tubular film, wherein the device has a tubular film stock, a conveyor device for pulling a predetermined length of tubular film out of the tubular film stock, a cutting device for cutting the pulled-off tubular film for the formation of a tubular hood and a fitting device, which is arranged downstream of the cutting device in the conveying direction of the tubular film, for pulling the tubular hood over the piece item stack, as well as a method for changing the tubular film stock in such a device. For enhanced safety and guarantee of a disturbance-free operation, a discharge device, which can discharge a length piece (L) of the tubular film, is proposed with the present invention as a part of the device for wrapping the piece item stack. In the method for changing the tubular film stock according to the invention, a lagging end of a consumed tubular film stock is connected to the leading end of a new tubular film stock, wherein the leading end and the lagging end are conveyed in the direction onto the cutting device in order to laterally discharge a length section (L) that bears the leading and the lagging end on top of an intake area for the piece item stack.
Packaging apparatus and method for operating same
Various embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to a packaging apparatus and method for packaging an article with a tubular film to be pulled over the article. The packaging apparatus has a machine frame on which a film supply apparatus and a film covering apparatus are mounted. The packaging apparatus includes a releasable drive coupling usable to operatively couple a drive with either the film covering apparatus or the film supply apparatus (or a subcomponent of the film supply apparatus). Once coupled, the drive can move the film covering apparatus or the film supply apparatus relative to the frame.
Systems and methods for wrapping loads of goods with tubular stretch film
Various embodiments of the present disclosure provide systems including stretch-hood machines configured to vertically and horizontally apply tubular stretch film to loads of goods and to methods for wrapping loads of goods with multiple segments of tubular stretch film.
STRETCH-HOOD MACHINE WITH FILM-EVALUATION FEATURE
Various embodiments of the present disclosure provide a stretch-hood machine configured to determine one or more measured performance parameters of a roll of a particular type of film and to determine whether the measured performance parameters are consistent with one or more corresponding baseline performance parameters for that type of film.
Opening apparatus and method for opening gusseted tube fed from tube supply in folded state
An opening apparatus for a gusseted tube which is fed in from a tube supply for the purpose of the later transfer to a device. The opening apparatus has at least two suction cheek arranged on each of two sides of the gusseted tube. Each suction cheek is arranged on one side of the gusseted tube and has a contact region which interacts with the gusseted tube and has a suction region with a protective device which lets an air flow through. The two suction cheeks lie opposite one another to be moved apart in a direction orthogonally with respect to the folded-together gusseted tube. An opening apparatus has both side cheeks of a pair arranged such that they can be moved along the outer face of the gusseted tube away from the other pair of suction cheeks to the outside.
Gripper
The present invention concerns a device and method for reefing a portion of tubular film, the reefing device having at least one reefing finger and at least one drive unit. The drive unit has advancing means, which, for reefing the portion of tubular film, is brought into operative connection with the reefing finger at least at the height of a point of engagement, while enclosing the portion of tubular film, and moves the portion of tubular film in relation to the reefing finger. The device according to the invention and the method according to the invention are distinguished in particular in that the position of the at least one point of engagement can be changed along the reefing finger as reefing progresses or the position of the point of engagement on the reefing finger is changed.
METHOD FOR CREATING AT LEAST ONE OPENING IN A SHEATH, MADE OF STRETCH FILM, THAT RETAINS A GOODS STACK ARRANGED ON A PALLET, AND SHAPING APPARATUS FOR CARRYING OUT THE METHOD
A method for creating an opening in a sheath, made of stretch film, that retains a goods stack arranged on a pallet. The pallet comprising an upper-side deck surface as support for the goods stack and lower-side support feet. The sheath engages under the support feet arranged in the region of the four outer edges of the pallet. At least one opening is in the sheath between two support feet . At least one opening is generated such that the sheath is first heated, the heated sheath is retracted from the pallet and then, still in the heated state, displaced upward. The upwardly displaced sheath is secured in its upwardly displaced position by cooling. The invention also relates to a shaping apparatus, and additionally to at least one heating device for carrying out the method.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING A PALLET-LESS PACKAGING UNIT AND A PACKAGING UNIT PRODUCED ACCORDING TO THE METHOD
A method for producing a pallet-less packaging unit has multiple packaging objects stacked to a stack of goods. The objects are stacked with a special layer that forms at least two encroachment areas for fork legs of a lift truck in at least one stack level. The special layer is first stacked on a normal layer larger than the special layer. The stack of goods is wrapped with its encroachment areas with a first film, the stack of goods that is wrapped on one side is turned around so the part of the stack of goods that has the special layer comes downwards and the stack of goods is wrapped with a second film that reaches up to the first film. In embodiments, second encroachment areas extend essentially at a right angle to first encroachment areas. The method provides a pallet-less packaging unit that can be handled more easily.
