A sleeve wrapping device includes a first fixing base, a second fixing base, a first supporting frame protruded from the first fixing base, a second supporting frame protruded from the second fixing base, a first roller mounted on the first supporting frame, a second roller mounted on the second supporting frame, and a sleeve wrapping film comprising a substrate and a plurality of adhesive layers. The first roller and the second roller move back and forth relative to the first supporting frame and the second supporting frame. The sleeve wrapping device is switched between a first state that the first roller and the second roller are in contact with each other and a second state that the first roller and the second roller are separated. The substrate winds the first roller and the second roller.

Method and machine for producing longitudinally and transversally sealed foil bags from a non-form stable foil sheet

In order to be able to produce foil bags in a more flexible manner it is proposed according to the invention to transport individual foil sheets (100) instead of using the continuous flow pack method by using independently moveable transport slides (120) of a flexible transport device (111) and filling, erecting and sealing the foil bags.

Bioprosthetic heart valve

Bioprosthetic heart valves and methods for fabricating bioprosthetic heart valves are provided. Biological tissue is attached to biocompatible material. The biocompatible material is folded to form a tubular structure with the attached biological tissue located on the inner surface of the tubular structure, the biological tissue forming leaflets of the heart valve. A stent is secured around the outer surface of the tubular structure. A region of the biocompatible material is cut. The biocompatible material is folded at the cut region away from the tissue and around the downstream edge of the stent and is secured to the stent's outer surface. The biocompatible material is folded at the upstream end of the tubular structure around the upstream edge of the stent and attached to the stent's outer surface so that the stent's inner and outer surfaces are covered with no more than a single layer of the biocompatible material.

Continuous Motion Packaging Machine With Rotating Flights
20210101754 · 2021-04-08 ·

A packaging machine for placing articles into a carton includes rotating flight assemblies that receive a carton or carton blank, and rotate the carton blank and carton with articles while the flight assemblies move downstream. The flight assemblies each include two fixed segments and one segment that includes a block and associated bracket that rotate as the flight assembly is pulled through the machine by a conveying system. A method includes carton blanks being fed by a carton feeder onto the flight assemblies. Articles are formed into an article group, which is then placed onto a carton blank. As the blank and article group move in a downstream direction, the side panels of the carton blank are wrapped around the article group and the carton and article group are rotated to assist in closing the carton end flaps.

MAGAZINE UNIT FOR A PACKAGING MACHINE, PACKAGING MACHINE HAVING A MAGAZINE UNIT AND METHOD FOR OPERATING A PACKAGING MACHINE

A magazine unit for a packaging machine comprises a support device configured to rotatably carry a reel of a packaging material web and a reel brake device configured to decelerate rotation of the reel around a central axis. The reel brake device comprises a brake assembly adapted to interact with an outer lateral surface of the reel of the packaging material web and configured to selectively exert a deceleration force on the reel of the packaging material web for decelerating the rotation of the reel around the central axis. The reel brake device comprises a support rail moveably carrying the brake assembly and an actuator device configured to actuate, in use, movement of the brake assembly along the support rail at least towards the outer lateral surface so as to establish contact of at least an interaction element of the brake assembly with the outer lateral surface of the reel.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR AUTOMATICALLY PACKAGING AND DISPENSING FOOD PRODUCTS

A food product gathering and dispensing system is disclosed. The food product is generally a flat disc shaped article dispensed onto a consumable strip of food product conveyer material. The food product is fed to single, or series related, spools that wind up the consumable conveyer material and food product into a removable roll or stack. The roll or stack is placed into a dispenser pack, optionally subject to further environmental treatment, and refrigeration. The pack is then installed within a refrigerated dispenser system where the food product and consumable material are collectively unwound and/or separated, as the food product is fed into a processing system, i.e., a cooking device. The consumable conveyer material is collected and separately discarded.

DIVERTING-FOLDING CONVEYOR SYSTEM

A folding-diverter assembly is provided to: selectively divert a substrate-product combination advancing from a first direction in a predetermined path based upon the substrate-product combination weighing a predetermined weight; advance the substrate-product combination in a second direction, opposite from the first direction; and fold a flap of the substrate-product combination partially over a top surface of the substrate-product combination. A semi-circular conveyor assembly is configured to advance the substrate-product combination in the second direction at a first portion of the semi-circular conveyor assembly, and along a semi-circular advancing path such that the substrate-product combination is advanced in the first direction at a second portion of the semi-circular conveyor assembly.
