C. Bot prevention in coffee
A packaged coffee product with oxygen dissolved therein along with milk and/or sweeteners in the sealed packaging is provided. Preferably, the pH of the product is 4.6 or greater, preferably 5.0 or greater. The coffee product may be hot or cold brew coffee and may have other gasses such as nitrogen and/or carbon-dioxide in the sealed container. Ideally, there is oxygen in both the headspace and liquid portion of the beverage in order to inhibit C. bot growth without requiring retort processing. Preferably, the calorie count is in the range of 0.5-9 calories per ounce.

Method for Preparing Food
A method for preparing food having at least a solid food component. The method comprises, during a high-temperature, short-time stage (HTST stage), cooking a surface of the solid food component at a temperature (HTST temperature) of greater than 140 C. The method further comprises, during a low-temperature, long-time stage (LTLT stage), cooking the solid food component at a temperature (LTLT temperature) of between 40 and 100 C. The method also comprises placing the food into packaging to form a sterile food package containing the food.
Multi-line microwave heating system with optimized launcher configuration
A microwave heating system configured to heat a plurality of articles and a process for using the same is provided. The heating system includes at least two laterally-spaced parallel convey lines and two or more groups of microwave launchers configured to heat articles transported along each convey line. The groups of microwave launchers can include pairs of oppositely disposed launchers that are spaced apart from one another along the axis of convey. When the system includes multiple convey lines, adjacent launcher groups are staggered relative to one another in the convey direction. Heating articles, such as foodstuffs or medical fluids or equipment in such a system, minimize undesirable interference between launchers of adjacent groups and provide a more uniform heating field.

Method and Filling Machine for Filling Packages Open on One Side via an Elongated Nozzle Slot
A method is described and illustrated for filling packages open on one side, in particular cardboard composite packages, with flowable products, in particular foodstuffs, in a filling machine. So that the packages can be impinged sufficiently and reliably with hot air, drying air and/or sterilising agent simply, quickly and with a small space requirement, it is provided that hot air, drying air and/or sterilising agent is introduced into the packages 2 open on one side from above via at least one nozzle as they are transported past under the nozzle and in that the hot air, the drying air and/or the sterilising agent are directed towards the packages from at least one elongated nozzle slot extending transverse to the transport direction.

Method and Filling Machine for Filling Packages Open on One Side with a Processing Movement Different from the Transport Direction
A method is described for filling packages open on one side with flowable products in a filling machine. In order for the packages open on one side to be processed reliably, it is provided that hot air, drying air, sterilising agent and/or flowable product is introduced via at least one nozzle into packages open on one side, that the packages are moved from a starting position, before the introduction of the air, agent, and/or flowable product, into an end position, after the introduction of the air, agent, and/or flowable product, and that the packages, during the introduction of the air, agent, and/or flowable product, are moved along a straight or continuously curved transport direction defined by the starting position and the end position and are moved in a processing movement overlaying the transport direction and extending at least in sections transversely to the transport direction.

Method for extracting aldehydes from the adhesive of a syringe
The present invention relates to a method for extracting aldehydes from the adhesive used for gluing needles to syringes, and to a method for determining the aldehydes releasable from said syringes, be fore or after such a treatment. In particular, the present invention relates to a method for extracting residual aldehydes from syringes comprising a step of treating said syringes at a temperature higher than or equal to 50? C., preferably higher than or equal to 90? C., wherein said treatment step is preferably carried out in an autoclave at a temperature higher than 90? C. and at a pressure higher than atmospheric pressure.
